It's FINALLY 8/22, so AWdS is out. I've been an Advanced Wars fan since 01, when it first came out. It's a great game. Here's a good site for info:

Damn it's already out? I'm still so deep into Jump Superstars I don't think I'm ready for it yet. :sad:

Most stores won't have it in till the 23rd, but I really can't wait to get my hands on it. I love the AW games as well and this one looks like it may just be the best one in the series.

Wow what a fun game! I never played any of the two previous ones and I'm impressed! I love the fact that it looks simple but really has a ton of depth ;)

I saw it today at Best Buy and was thinking... "when the heck did this come out?" I don't have a DS though so it did me no good.

I would have gotten this today but I went for Nintendogs instead. Next 40 bucks I get will go towards this title, though. :)

Just bought it today along with Nintendogs. (These are only the second and third games I've ever bought for my DS, and I've had it since December. Just playing Mario 64 on it and some GBA games.:sweat: )

Anyway, Plays pretty much just like the GBA versions, (except the touch screen does streamline the process,) but that's a good thing. Advanced Wars has always been one of the most brilliant sleeper franchises on GBA, and the DS looks to be the best yet!


...Oh, and Nintendogs is pretty cool too. :anime:

Got this for $15 at Best Buy this morning thanks to the Labor Day sale they had. If you're a fan of the first two, it's easy to pick up and play. There are a couple of small changes involving the dual screen like bombs, but nothing has really affect the gameplay for me with that yet.

But why is it still called "Advance wars"? Why not "DS wars"?

Weren't all of the other games in the series like that? (Famicom Wars, Super Famicom Wars, ect.)

Jake is by far the best character from the series. He talks like an internet geek and a rapper. The first time I read after one battle, "You better get the plates because someone got served", that had me rolling. Nintendo is the only company I know who can take a corney saying like that and make it funny.

Every game before Advance Wars was a Japan only release, that's why.

He's white,but he talks like a gang member and he's from "Omega Land". Talk about diversity!
