Episode 13 (Season 1 Finale) - "Monster Con"
Premieres Sunday, August 21st at 7:30 pm
Encores: Friday [8/26] at 9 pm; Saturday [8/27] at 9:30 am
Synopsis: Juniper gives a speech at a convention of monsters. But something goes wrong, forcing Ah-mah to temporarily come out of Te Xuan Ze retirement.
Notes:
- As of this point in time, it seems this 3-a-week schedule will be the norm for 'Juniper Lee' reruns, but it may be subject to change when the fall schedule officially kicks off in a few weeks.
- Right now, I'm not sure if the show has been renewed for a second season, and if it has, when it will debut.

This ought to be an interesting episode, and hopefully a great way to end the first set of episodes. I'd like to see a second season for this series, and I believe there will be. I'm going to guess that the next new episode will air sometime...maybe as early as October or November.

Good episode, I loved the part when Jun called that one agent Lex Luthor. It was all the more fitting since he was voiced by Clancy Brown.
Also It was nice to have more serious villains for a change. While this group of agents had their minds wipes there was the impression that even their leader had higher ups so this is not the last we have seen of these guys.

Very good episode, I do agree that is not the last time we'll see those agent guys.

Did anyone notice that the two-headed monster who was in the crowd during June's speech was wearing a T-shirt that said "I love giant robots"? At least Judd Winick remembers Megas XLR ! :D
Anyhow, great end to S1 there. The series got off to a semi-slow start but it just picked up steam from there. I haven't seen so many great one-liners this side of Looney Tunes.
Overall, I give S1 an A- (if only that the first couple of eps were a bit flat).

Actually during the first few weeks of Juniper airing, the show was picked up for a second Season. So there will be one. The thing is though when it will air. Since it took about a year to make Season One, I say sometime in 2006 since i know they already started work on S2.

Well, Judd Winnick made an homage to conventions... he's probably been to a few just like the one portrayed here, given his works in the comic book industry.
Nice to see Ah-Mah (Jasmine... heh, figures she and Junie would share the same initials) jump into action and to see how popular she is. At the same time, this is one of those episodes that knocks June back down to Earth, being out of place and unimpressive to the con-goers.
That group (H.A.M. - Humans Against Magic, I think) sure gave our heroine a run for her money. It's also nice that Ah-Mah gave June a glimpse at how powerful and popular she could end up being, with superhuman strength and magical talismans working together.
"Monster Con" gets an 8 out of 10. Nice way to end Season 1. :D
Season 2 Suggestions: Okay, June's legacy is set up, now it's time to bring back some of her tougher villains. Loki, Sandman, H.A.M.... they could really shake things up. Origin story, 'nuff said. And for the love of Ray-Ray, please surprise us by doing some new and groundbreaking tales!

OK episode.
At this point I'm pretty uninterested in jokes pointing fun at fandom (like we haven't enough of *those*?) so all of those fell flat with me.
Was nice to see Jun brought to down to Earth a little bit (probably too much; her being captured so easy was  at best), even if it meant elevating Jasmine to an insanely high plateau.
I like the intro of a knowledgeable, human villan who obviously has some type of history with magic: not sure how they'll get around the memory wipe, but I hope they do and that he makes multiple appearences next season (and there will be another season, according to the CN fall preview commercials).
As always, Ray-ray was annoying and Monroe was tolerable at best. God this show needs better supporting characters.
I do hope for more from the second season.
Later,

That was a very good episode. I am interested in H.A.M. they might make more apperances in the next season.
