I don't think it's Mario 128, but possibly a new Gamecube Mario niche title that utilizes the microphone. Apparently the demo had the crowd screaming in order to move the Bullet Bill around the screen without blowing it up.

Probably just some prototype thing that we'll never see anything about again.

Could it be just a project some kid did with Max or Maya? Because that detail doesn't look too hot.

Nintendo's Mario titles haven't looked hot since Mario 64.

You want to know what's that.
It was only a minigame for the people who were at the convention. The objective was to scream the direction where the lakitu goes and the lakitu moves. That's all.
It's nothing about Revolution.

It looks more Sonic styled than Mario

Really, I though Sunshine was good.
There can't be screenshots of a game that, as far as we know, doesn't exist.

Mario 128 is a Unicorn. Same as Mario 64 2. Both were promised sequals, that Nintendo dragged there feet on, then never made.
And Mario 64 2 did not become Sunshine, as far as I've heard.
Probaly just some fan art done in a 3D modeling program.

Probaly just some fan art done in a 3D modeling program. read the post that has the pics, it was at a convention.
Once again, it was probaly some fan deal. Likely a fake demo.

because a fan mode demo would play on a giant screen at Nintendo's booth
Unless I hear word that the convention this happened at wasn't real......
but they'd still have to explain to e how a fan made thing gets plastered on a huge screen for audience participation.

no, it's fake.
quote me on that, everything is too simple and could be easily faked, the bullet sprite is from SMW too...

It wouldn't be the first time pixelated graphics have been used in a modern 3-d game to give the appearance of "nostalgic"
hey 6,666th post ^__^

I thought Super Mario 64 2 and Mario 128 were the same thing (you know...64 x 2 equals...)
Of course, the DE FACTO sequel is Sunshine, which is almost exactly like Mario 64 just...with a lot less variety in levels.

Mario 128 was a tech demo for the Cube at E3 a few years ago I think. I read about it in a magazine. It demonstrated the consoles capabilities by making many 3D rendered Mario's run around the screen. Eventually there were 128 in total with no lag. That's what I remember anyway.
