Online petitions simply never work.
Wanted
08-19-2005, 09:30 PM
Yeah... let me just read that petition (not sign it, I will never) and state actual reasons why it won't work.
Reason One: You actually list a schedule that you think people will agree to. Everybody will have at that schedule and argue about whether or not they want certain show in certain spot. And, do you actually expect the network to comply with that, even if a good number of people (or a good number of fabricated people) do "sign" it.
Reason Two: Toon Zone doesn't advocate online petitions. Neither does a good part of the web.
Reason Three: Bad grammar.
And a few side notes:
"As well as this schedule we would like you to switch back to the old logo, use the old skits, use the next animation when a show is coming up next, and go back to doing everything you did when you used the old logo"
What the hell kind of a request is that?
"Atomic Betty"
It's a dying brand, I regret. By '06, it'll be off Cartoon Network. Heck, it's not even on Sundays anymore.
"We feel that the following schedule should be used as of January 2 2006 so no fans will be heartbroken"
Oh, people will be heartbroken if that schedule is implemented. Starting with me and going around the block five times.
Now, back to the reasons:
Reason Four: That's just a (bad) schedule. I had to say it twice. No offense, but it is bad. BAD.
Reason Five: There's a plethora of new and upcoming shows you fail to mention, as well as some that already exist.
Reason Six: Toonami... what'd you do to it?
"5 pm- Code Lyoko
5:30 pm- Totally Spies
6 pm- Atomic Betty
6:30 pm- Winx Club"
More like Miguzi to me.

Yeah, I saw him all over TV.com. I got annoyed by all of that gentleman's spam. FYI, rk, not all programming on CN today is crap, and not everything that once aired was great. I may not like everything about the network, but there are things on there that are good enough for me to watch.

Your Toonami scares me. Different shows every day? DICE returns? Totally Spies, Atomic Betty and Winx Club? I will have none of this... heck I don't even want Duck Dodgers on it. It's a comedy much more than an action show and should be in prime time. Lest we forget no Naruto, no IGPX and no Bo-BoBo.
Also you can't get rid of Miguzi so easily. It's ratings are better than Toonami got in that slot and that's all there is to it.
No Saturday AS? That doesn't fly either.
You do have some good ideas and bringing back old CC's is nice but I can't agree with this schedule.
And online petitions never work... except maybe when you are in the age group they hope will be watching (Loonatics anyone? And lets face it... that wasn't for the best).

ok one thing thatis a terrible schedule. second where is hihi puffy ami yumi and juniper lee. maybe the reason they air them so much is because people watch them and give them high ratings. if you want to see those shows watch you're old tapes if you don't have any just wait for the dvd release
Where's Looney Tunes? I need my half-hour of Looney Tunes.

You will never get my signature for a schedule such as you have suggested. I don't mind the old shows, but shows that have finished have no reason for airing on Toonami (Rave Master, D.I.C.E.) and anything that's been Miguzified that doesn't have the name Teen Titans should never air on Toonami (Winx Club, Poke'Mon).
As for being heart broken, I would be more heart broken if they removed the new good shows for old classics that don't generate them ratings.

Okay what makes you think I would want to sign a petition to make CN schedule worse than it already is?

just sign alreadyHow rude!
ok it's this it's either you sign or ur with hi hi,juniper lee etc.i'll definetly sign plus cn's new crap reeks.I'm with Hi Hi, Juniper Lee, and all that jazz. I like what Cartoon Network has to offer.
Plus, you say that Cartoon Network's new "crap" reeks when you list some of that new "crap" in a schedule you say you didn't even create. Bad move.
god i hate when ppl say that online petitions don't work.Well, you're not going to hear one person here say that they do, unless they actually do (which they seldomly do).
and by the way that code lyoko was only on thursdays toonami.i didn't even create it.Then, where the heck did you get it? Who wrote it so I can catch them in a dark alley with a porcelain bat?

Well, you have to admit. When you read online petition "signiatures", you get gems like this:
When we parents agreed to Adult Swim we never agreed to have almost TV-MA content like Samurai Champloo and Paranoia Agent air. My kids love adult swim and now they can't watch it!
Samurai Champloo is not exceptable content for my children. Please take it off. Plus, you already have a pretty popular demand over the last few days to take it off. Please Cartoon Network! We beg of you. It should not be on your network!

Petitions in a nut shell do squat.
And even if it did succeed there's always the chance it would change again anyway.

Yeah. Miguzi's off, and if it was meant as a 2006 schedule, it'd be missing a few shows. What you do with Toonami isn't the most logical, or smartest thing to do... putting the better shows in the front and the lackluster shows in the back. Sunday's missing a few things, if you haven't noticed. Otherwise, I can't really merit you on your schedule...
