Well, after watching some eps of invader zim, i decided to make a thread of the paranomal, and see if there are people who could answer some questions i got. Well, here's the first one (these questions are based on things i've experienced/seen/read on relible news sources)

There's some sort of lights that came from this old house a few neighborhoods from where i live. That place is around 15 miles from my house, so me and my friends take a few. Also, this house is on a desolated area, there isn't a road leading in, or anything. There's a lake on the back.

One day, me and 4 other people went there at night. (i was 12 at that time) My friends and I had to meet these other kids because they "dared" me to go, so i took my henchmen, errr friends to go with me just in case. We went there at 9:00 PM. When we all got there, the other group of kids were waiting for us. Well, when we got there we were like "um ok, what now?" They told us to go in at 12 on midnight. I told them not to, they told me i had no choice (really, one of them pickloced my locker and took out some books, and other important stuff i had there) Well, i waited and stuff, at 12 midnight, a light turned on, but there wasn't any form of electricity to the house.

The light was small, like a little lightbuld flying. One of the kids said it was a wisp. I don't know what's a wisp, but i found out that day. They said there were zombies and stuff, of course, i didn't believed them, the light was coming down to the door; all of us (12 in total) were staring at it and couldn't move. The door made a sound like it was opening, it did. Then there wasn't a light anymore. I left.

Anyways that was the small story, anyways i wanted to see if anyone had some info on what a "wisp" is, and if you think that that light could have been a person scaring us. The thing that doesn't make sense is that house's location, and it is really old. Some of the other guys took a picture of the house and said that there was some sort of face on it. They claimed to burn the picture, but i didn't believe them.

Wisps are ancient disembodied spirits elves, fairies. You didn't see one otherwise they would have devoured your face.

Well, it's safe to say that he is an idiot. That guy said that wisps are just small light balls that float around.

Sounds like he's a Warcraft fanatic.

I'm actually kind of interested in ghosts and the paranormal myself. I have been to the Whaley House in downtown San Diego before. The kitchen was colder than the other rooms but it felt relaxing on a hot day. Maybe a ghost was in the kitchen. I hear room temperature either drops or rises if a ghost is about.

I think he meant a "Will o' the wisp", which is indeed a ball of light andd used to be associated with spirits. Now we know that most of them are just ignited swamp gas. Don't think that'd explain your sighting, though.
