It has come to my attention that Boomerang aired "Blue Racer Blues" without its original titles and credits. Well, it's nothing special, but here it is -

Boomerang seems to be showing an awful lot of Blue Racers lately. Looks like you've got your work cut out for you for your BR page (http://dfe.goldenagecartoons.com/blueracer.htm)! :D

I noticed. This is good, since that means I can complete my Blue Racer collection.

I am, however, ticked that some of them doesn't have credits in the beginning.

Interesting, I'd never even heard of the Blue Racer until recently and it's really odd that the cartoons are now popping up like this on Boomerang's Pink Panther show. Now if they'd show some of the other rarely seen DFE cartoons that would be great.

"The Blue Racer" was one of the eight theatrical series that DePatie-Freleng had. The other 7 were "Pink Panther, "The Inspector", "Roland and Rattfink", "The Ant and the Aardvark", "Tijuana Toads", "Hoot Kloot" and "The Dogfather"

"Pink Panther", "The Inspector", and "The Ant and the Aardvark" were used for NBC's "The Pink Panther Show". They also redubbed "Tijuana Toads" as "Texas Toads" to make it politically correct.

When Cartoon Network aired "Pink Panther", they aired the panther, "The Inspector", "Roland and Rattfink", "The Ant and the Aardvark", and "Hoot Kloot".

Now, on Boomerang, the panther, "Inspector", "Ant and the Aardvark", and "The Blue Racer".

So Turner has yet to air "The Dogfather" and "Tijuana Toads".

Actually, "Misterjaw" was a made-for-TV "Pink Panther" segment.

Like most DFE series, it was concieved through a movie. In Misterjaw's case, it was "Jaws" (duh). At the same time, Hanna-Barbera was also doing "Jabberjaw". I think "Misterjaw" was WAAAY better. But I agree, it would be a nice addition to the network.

Most of the DFE characters were based on somebody or a movie at the time. To name a few

The Inspector - Inspector Clouseau
The Ant - Dean Martin
The Aardvark - Jackie Mason
The Dogfather - The Godfather
Hoot Kloot - Joe Higgins
The Blue Racer - Paul Lynde (in his first appearance in "Tijuana Toads", at least)
