I remember that show from the 70's and it's a 90 and 60 minute half hour show when they have Tarzan, Lord of the Jungle then they have reruns of The New Adventures of Batman plus four new cartoons like The Freedom Force, Web Woman, Manta & Moray and Superstretch & Microwoman and they have Filmation's Live Action Sci-Fi Show Jason of Star Command with all 16 Chapters of the live action show because this is the show that we remember when it ran on CBS from 1978-1980 atfer two seasons was Tarzan and the Super 7 and it's one of my favorite cartoon every saturday morning at 10:30am on right atfer The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Show at 9:00am on CBS so does anyone remember Tarzan and the Super 7 because I remember that show and I didn't had a chance to listen to the theme song because Toon Tracker don't have it yet because I'm still waiting for the Tarzan and the Super 7 Theme and I been requesting for the theme song and I want Toon Tracker to add the theme to Tarzan and the Super 7 to the Toon Tracker Wave Themes Page so if anyone has the the theme to Tarzan and the Super 7 just ask Ron Kurer from Toon Tracker so please send him his email address at webmaster@toontracker.com so you can write to him about the Tarzan and the Super 7 Theme beacase I want to listen to that theme song so if anyone has the theme from Tarzan and the Super 7 just request it to Toon Tracker!

Man, I love this cartoon as well since it is one of the first cartoons I ever remember watching as a very young child on Saturday mornings in the 70s (probably before most people here on Toon Zone were born) and it only helped to foster my life long love of superheroes. Unfortunately, I remember nothing other than some vague images of the various shows and I doubt if it will ever be available of DVD or anything like that.

Dude, take a sedative!

When Tarzan & the Super 7 debuted, it was actually an extension of the Tarzan/Batman Hour of Adventure from the previous season. Both Tarzan and the New Advs. of Batman were in their 3rd seasons. As memory serves, to fit everything in a 90 minute block, Tarzan & Batman were edited. CBS kept Tarzan and Jason of Star Command around, and sent the rest off to NBC in 1980 for its final season. Tarzan was then paired with first the revived Lone Ranger (starring William Conrad), and then Zorro the following season. Super 7 wasn't the same without its anchor (Tarzan), and was cut to an hour.

This was the only time that Batman appeared on two different shows, from two different studios, on two different networks, at the same time. Will that ever happen again? I doubt it.

I'd like to check this show out if it's available on DVD.

The CBS schedule that season is so memorable, it's the only one I can remember by heart.
8 Popeye (the only HB production on the network by then)
9 Bugs Bunny/Roadrunner
10:30 Tarzan & the Super 7
12 Space Academy
12:30 Fat Albert
1 ARK II
1:30 CBS Storybook, or whatever that show was.

Space Academy - didn't that star Dr. Smith from Lost in Space. And if I rember right, they recycled the space ships from Space Academy as the Ark mobile

Yes, Jonathan Harris starred in Space Academy. And let me correct the timeline of Filmation's line of live-action series:

Shazam!: CBS 1974-77
Secrets of Isis: CBS 1975-78 (coupled with Shazam the first two seasons)
Ghost Busters: CBS 1975-6
Uncle Croc's Block (starring Charles Nelson Reilly & Jonathan Harris in a parody of old kid's shows): ABC Sept.-Dec. 1975 (replaced by Super Friends reruns)
Ark II: CBS 1976-77
Space Academy: CBS 1977-79
Jason of Star Command (part of Super 7): CBS 1978-81

I should note that Sid Haig, who's appeared in both of Rob Zombie's movies, came over from "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman" to co-star in Jason, and the late James Doohan also co-starred. Filmation discontinued live-action programming after Jason stopped production.

Unless you count continued Bill Cosby segments.
Also, ARK II ran until 1979.

Yes, yes, but what are Space Academy and ARK II?

Two of Filmation's live action sci-fi shows. One was about an academy aboard a ship in space, and the other was about earth in the 25th century after civilization was destoyed, and a new "Noah's Ark" of sorts containing scientists try to start over again.

You can see the intro here: http://www.retrojunk.com/details_tvshows/644-ark-ii/ They were supposed to have Space academy too, but don;t have the intro available.

Cool, thanks. I'm a little too young to remember the live action Saturday morning shows.

I wrote a letter to Tarzan.com asking them who owns the rights to Tarzan, Lord of the Jungle. The forward my e-mail to the estate of Edgar Rice Burroughs. Maybe they'll find out who owns the rights to the Filmation Tarzan cartoon.
