In another thread, a couple of people asked where they could find some images to use as their avatar. Well, I decided to put a handful of them into a post and let anyone who wants them to help themself. If none of these suit your tastes, go ahead and make a request - maybe someone around here will have just the right image lying on our harddrive...

Anyway, go ahead and use one of these if you'd like (first save it to your drive, then use the option to select it from there when it's time to pick your avatar image).

Thanks for the suggestion. I knew that, but Geocities won't let me display them here. They block remote loading. I could put them on my tripod site (which allows loading gifs but not jpgs) and I still may. Maybe longterm it's better to put them on a website somewhere and not show them on the board itself.

Part of me thinks that this avatar thread is just part of a phase we'll see while everyone gets familiar with the new board so there won't be a need to keep them around for long. But if it looks like something we need longterm, I may put them in a safe and accessible place.

BTW - to all those who have thanked me for a particular avatar - Well, it t'wern't nuthin' - I'm always glad to help out another fan! :)
