On the press release for Looney Tunes Golden Collection Vol. 3, they mention the DVD set will be "Trailered On: Flintstones, The: The Complete Fourth Season; Huckleberry Hound: Vol. 1; Looney Tunes: Movie Collection Vol. 3; Tom and Jerry Spotlight Collection: Vol 2; Yogi Bear: The Complete Series"

So while there isn't a date, it does seem to mention that first half of Huckleberry Hound, all the Yogi Bears and the 4th set of the Flintstones should be coming out this fall.

Has anyone heard if WHV will be putting out any of the series on the 3 DVD sets. Here's just a guess as to what could be put out in the vault.

Hong Kong Phooey is a good bet for early next year. Probably Josie and The Pussycats will get a release sometime next year as well along with more Flintstones. Other than that I'm not realy sure what other sets are in the works for release that aren't already tentative.

Fonz, Jeannie, The (1970) Harlem Globetrotters, Laverne & Shirley, Mork & Mindy and other licensed shows based on TV/toys/movies/games will not make it to HB's golden/classic collection because they're owned by their respective owners (Paramount, Sony, etc) I know not to expect them to be released.

I do agree that many of HB's output ( http://www.forums.toonzone.net/images/smilies/smile.gif 0r :( ) should be released either as single dvd's or complete sets. Boomerang is expensive to own, and don't count on your cable provider to carry it at an affordable price. You have to get an upgrade on your subscription to get it with other channels you may or may not want. I did manage to record eps of the shows mentioned on CN's upgrade of Boomerang in the early 00's. Here's what I like to see released:

Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels, The All New Superfriends Hour (from 1977, complete with safety/magic bumpers if possible), Dynomutt, Skatebirds,
various Flintstone spin-offs and specials from the 70's-80's, Trollkins, and any Ruby Spears specials/shows that HB owns.

there might be a good chance for a Harlem Globetrotters collection coming out since they have included them on the Scooby set.

I recently spoke with Globetrotter great, Curly Neal and he said he never saw a penny from the cartoons since they were considered promotional use of his image and he didn't use his own voice. But Curly didn't seem bitter since the constant reruns of their Scooby episodes allows kids to recognize him. Think of how many 70s sport superstars can get a 4 year old excited.

i'm hoping for a "Wait Till Your Father Gets Home" boxset that they can promote as "before the Simpsons and Family Guy."

2 episodes of Partridge Family 2200 A.D. (owned by Sony), "Car Trouble" and "My Son The Spaceball Star," has been released as part of The Partridge Family - The Complete First Season DVD set (which is particularly why I purchased it! :D ). They even have the original "We'll Be Right Back" and "And Now Back To The Show" commercial bumpers, too. :)

("Irradiated," indeed! :p )

I'm saving my dinero for DVD releases of more mid-to-late 1970s H-B series, particularly my personal faves The Scooby-Doo/Dynomutt Hour, The All-New SuperFriends Hour, and The New Tom & Jerry/Grape Ape Show!

And if they don't release it in the original hour format, I'd gladly accept individual releases:

The Scooby-Doo Show (Seasons 1-3)*
Dynomutt Dog Wonder (Seasons 1 & 2)*
The (New) Tom & Jerry Show (complete series)
The Great Grape Ape Show (complete series)
*I'd also settle for a Scooby-Doo Meets Dynomutt compilation (3 episodes of Dynomutt guest starring Scooby and the gang, framed inbetween original Scooby-Doo/Dynomutt bridging sequences! :D ).
