Funniest film of the year, hands down. I expect this to take in $100 million+ easily. This movie was awesome, GREAT, I was laughing out loud, Will Ferrell has a hilarious cameo. Vince Vaughn & Owen Wilson were hilarious playing off each other. Who played the creepy goth Todd, who tried to seduce Vaughn? This film was awesome, great to see it getting fantastic reviews & business

Very Funny.
I thought it bog down towards the end trying to make the 4 lead characters have a happy ending.
But otherwise it was a solid comedy.

Saw this a few nights ago, when I was in the mood for something good and stupidly amusing.

It's an okay comedy, with some very funny moments, but much more of a romance film than I had expected... and it's not very good at pulling it off. Wilson and McAdams don't have much chemistry, and all the sappy bits just don't work. That, and the antagonist is such a caricature so as to be laughable, and not in the good sense.

It's not all bad, and it's got Vince Vaughan being his typically amusing manic self, but it's not a great flick. Wait for the DVD on this one.

I saw it last night with a buddy of mine and we laughed our heads off. The theater was packed and everyone just went nuts when Will Ferrel showed up. Definately movie of the year. Yeah take that Batman Begins. Oh I'm a Batman fan by the way.

Yeah, this film was awesome. Probably the funniest film in years. It's the most recent film that I have seen where you could tell EVERYONE in the audience was having a great time.

Had a blast watching it ("Shut your mouth when you're talking to me!" )

the only thing that bothered me was that oti's being advertised as this big "r-rated" comedy as if we havn't had one in years. That's fine and dandy if they were gonna be doing somehting truly ....DIRTY.but most of the dirty stuff was pretty tame compared to recent R-rated comedies (it'll take a bit to top the nudist beach scene in Eurotrip)

and putting Christopher Walken in any movie automatically makes it funnier

At least a great R-rated comedy is making some dough like this. Word of mouth for this seems great. Based on audience reaction during the trailer, "The 40 Year Old Virgin" looks like it could do pretty similar business.

I saw this tonight and loved it! I don't generally like comedies but this one surprised me. I think Vince Vaugh and the red headed actress completely stole the film. Owen Wilson was great. Jane Seymour and Chris Walken were funny, as well. Oh, and Rachel McAdams.. hot! And I think she's a great up and coming actress. Wedding Crashers is awesome! Everyone see it.

Just got back. Farrell seemed tacked on, but everything else was great.

HOWEVER...

This film DID NOT rediffine R-rated comedy. The deffinitive example of the genre, "There's Something About Mary", has way too much on Wedding Crashers. Sorry bigot Grandma.

To be honest I didn't find much here that I didn't see in Adam Sandler's movies or Meet the Parents. And those movies got panned. I however, LIKED those movies so I feel unbiased when I say the humour isn't too much different from the above Hollywood movies. It's still about a bunch of morons who goof around, get misunderstood for half the movie, get into a crisis with the girl(s), and then wins the girl's heart again in the end. Pratfalls and slapstick ensue.

Funny thing is despite the nudity, every girl in this movie who actually has lines is never shown topless. Even the one throwaway girl early in the movie who gets upset at Owen Wilson is shown with a bra. They always have body doubles for the actual actors. Closest is the Jane Seymour sideview, but even I couldn't really see her face there.

I know most actresses would rather not go topless, so I understand. But it really sticks out all the same. I bet Kate Winslet would have gone nude though. :p
