Stargate Command-Atlantis is still fighting desperately against the awesome power of the Wraith, but with the arrival of a ZPM, things are starting to look up. But new challenges lie ahead for our heroes, including the meeting of a "Wraith Runner." But is he friend or foe?

Things don't look so good for Atlantis. The city has taken damage and two Puddle-Jumpers have been lost already. Wraith have seemingly taken over the city while Sheppard makes a last-ditch attempt to destroy one of the Wraith Hive Ships. How long will it be before the Daedalus arrives with its ZPM? Even if they reach the city, will it be enough? How exactly is Sheppard going to escape his Puddle-Jumper? And most importantly, did the Daedalus bring ZATs this time?

Catch the new series every Friday at 9PM EST on Sci-Fi Channel! If you miss it, it will encore at 11PM the same night.

You created a separate thread for The Seige part 3? And to think I held back on voting in the old The Seige thread. Excuse me while I back-track and vote and in that one...

You created a separate thread for The Seige part 3?New season, new thread.

Anyway, onto the actual episode:

-Sci Fi needs to put back the full Atlantis opening NOW.
-I don't believe it. They still don't have any ZATs!?
-The cloaking plan was friggin ingenious.
-McKay's way too overworked. And in 19 episodes he'll have to do it all over again.
-It was so nice to see the Daedalius kicking some ass.
-Also nice seeing an Asgard.
-While I'm not too thrilled about Ford ditching Atlantis, at least he's not the whipping boy anymore. But so help me if they kill him at the end of the season...

Oh, in case you didn't notice it. The male pilot-guy (the one that sets the targets and all that stuff) was played by Kirby Morrow (aka Miroku on InuYasha, Rad on Transformers Armada, Trowa in Gundam Wing, and Cyclops in X-Men Evolution). That was pretty cool.

They're likely waiting until Ronin Dex is introduced before they put in the new opening.

Yeah, I'm disappointed they didn't do much with him the first season. And now they made him a Wraith enzyme junkie. It's like they don't know how to write for black characters, especially in sci-fi series. Well, his best scene he had was when he lifted up Carson and nearly choked him to death, which would have been good considering how annoying he is. The one question I have though is how the hell was he able to pilot the Puddle Jumper? Only Sheppard, Carson (and others with the Ancient gene), as well as those who've gotten the genetic treatment could do so and it was never indicated if Ford did.

They're likely waiting until Ronin Dex is introduced before they put in the new opening. No, this is SciFi's doing. If it was just a placeholder, then they would've done a full 60-second one like they did when Rising Part 2 airs in syndication.

Or the Wraith enzyme gives him the ability to control Ancient devices.

They perfected a gene splice in the first handful of episodes. One of Rodney's chances to shine.

I wish I could say this shortened intro (intro? This is an eyecatch, fer cryin' out loud) would come back and bite them on the butt, but considering how SG1 has managed to stay on way past its prime, I'm not sure anything can stop the Stargate juggernaut.

Or it could be the Wraith enzyme.

And now, the conclusion.

The male pilot-guy (the one that sets the targets and all that stuff) was played by Kirby Morrow (aka Miroku on InuYasha, Rad on Transformers Armada, Trowa in Gundam Wing, and Cyclops in X-Men Evolution). That was pretty cool. Funny how, on Atlantis, there was an Ocean Group voice actor. Heh. Heh. ::gets attacked by the Pun Police::

Short opening:  But at least it's SOMETHING. Sci-Fi could just cut to commercial after the teaser and flash the network logo saying "This is Stargate Atlantis. We'll be right back." More incentive to buy the DVDs.

I'm glad they're doing SOMETHING with Ford's character. Though, it is kinda stupid.

One deus ex machina after another, and Atlantis STILL can't fend off the Wraith! They're probably gonna need to resort to Ascended Ancients next finale.

Yay! It's Quirky Girl! Welcome to Atlantis, Quirky Girl! Continuity is fun!

They're probably gonna need to resort to Ascended Ancients next finale.Pretty much the only Ascended that we know about are the protector girl from Season 1 (I forget her name, dammit!), the gotee guy that made his own Stargate from a toaster (Gah! All these forgettable names!), Ohma (who's battling Anubis), and Skaara (who doesn't have any connection at all with the Atlantis cast).

Best part: soldiers beam in, "Your ZPM sir."

I hope this season isn't going to be "chase druggie Ford all over Pegasis".

The Wraith sure adapted quickly to the beaming of nukes onto their hive ships. They remind me of the Borg.

Did Ford's actor want off the show then? I didn't realise until he made it through the gate with no time left in the show that it was going to be a permanent change. Though that does explain how they can bring in that Ronin guy or whatever his name is, he's a replacement not an addition.

I don't think so. From what I've seen from the various interviews and stuff, he loves being part of the show. He may have wanted a bigger role, though.

From what I understand, Rainbow was a little overwhelmed by the show's shooting schedule (although he was more than willing to keep it up), and welcomed the direction they decided to take his character. It gives Ford his own arc (and some actual development), and he just has to show up on the set a little less often.
