According to variety.com, Filmation's co-founder/producer/chairman, Norman Prescott passed away July 2nd of natural causes. He was 78 years old.
He was also a voice actor and narrator for many of Filmation's programs, just as Lou (Scheimer) was. He was a radio announcer and in charge of music for a studio before teaming up with Hal Sutherland and Lou Scheimer to build Filmation over 40 years ago, creating many animated and live action programs, and animated films, until 1989.
Entertainment Rights currently owns the Filmation library (except for major licensed properties from Warner Bros, and Paramount/Viacom).
