Just discovered S.W.A.T. Kats

I caught SWAT Kats while watching Boomerang a few days ago and I instantly fell in love with it! The show looked vaugely familar (I'm guessing it was made in the early 90s) but don't think I ever watched it as a kid.
The first episode I saw involved a bad-ass female villian named Termoil and the main character's suprising (for a kid's show) method of taking her down (he convinced Termoil he loved her to gain her trust and access to her airship. Then he hid bombs all over the airship and detonated them after he got out!). :eek:
Termoil didn't die (duh, it is a kids show), so I'm hoping she's a recurring villian.

The other episode was an origon story about how the two main characters (I wish I could remember their names) have to operate as vigilantes because they were kicked out of the military.

Anyone else here fans of this show? Here's a place to discuss it and, while you're at it, help me with the characters' names. :sweat:

Their names are T-Bone and Razor (my fav). I still haven't seen the first ep you mentioned, but have seen a lot of others.

This show is great to watch, a little rushed but still good! I'm hoping it'll get released on dvd soon!

I haven't seen that shows in 10 years or so, i used to like it a lot, i think i saw all if not most episodes but i also don't recall that one. I'd love dvds.

As I recall she was a one-shot villain. The reoccuring villains are all just as badass, though.

I think we're all rediscovering SWAT Kats, especially since it's been rumored that the creators, Christian and Yvon Tremblay, are involved in the production of the upcoming Loonatics cartoon series that everyone is talking about (and, from what I've been reading, dreaded).

Ditto! The same thing happened to me! That was the episode I caught too. It also happens to be one of my faves. Termoil is one badass cat!

I love SwatKATS. I use to watch it as a kid. My favorite SwatKAT is Razor,the skinny dark-furred one.
