Would that be "Batman" and "Superman" as in "Batman: The Animated Series" and "Superman: The Animated Series"?

Baby Looney Tunes? WTF?!

CN... I hate you. Thanks.

I checked the schedule myself on the official site and no, there was no mention of BLT, T&J Kids, Batman or Superman.

Schedule has been edited.

This information was found at Yahoo! TV and on my on screen TV guide (from TV Guide). The schedule I posted was CORRECT.

It's not what the official CN/Boomerang website says. Baby Looney Tunes can't be airing on Boomerang since it's still on CN.

Tom and Jerry still airs on CN and its on Boomerang.

Tom and Jerry still airs on CN and its on Boomerang.Yeah, but BLT is only 3 years old. It doesn't make sense that it's on Boomerang.

It airs on the UK Boomerang, along with Duck Dodgers and many shows because they're based on old shows.

It does?

Well, in that case, considering there are two different sources, it might be better to wait until monday to see what actually airs.

Not only Yahoo! TV, but TV Guide Online and Zap2It, also have the changes I posted. Just because CN hasn't updated the online schedule, doesn't mean it isn't correct.

Hanna-Barbera's 1967-70 Fantastic Four is coming back. This move was unquestionably made to take advantage of the impending release of the live-action big-screen venture starring Ioan Gruffudd and Michael Chiklis.

CN's schedule psat next Monday is screwed up anyway, so there's a chance that the Boomerang one may be as well. As for the BLT comment, yes, BLT, Duck Dodgers and What's New Scooby Doo all air on Boomerang UK, although WNSD got put on both channels when CNUK changed its style. Just like Teen Titans and B-Daman are on CN and Toonami.

If that's the case, Bryan, feel free to change the schedule back. I honestly don't know which website is more trustable, but I'll take your word for it.

Keep this in mind also. CN has discussed the possibility of turning Boomerang into a pre-school network. Adding Baby Looney Tunes would be the first step in that process.

Batman TAS and Superman TAS airing on Boomerang! That's great. I have not seen either show in a long time and I want to see Batman TAS again even more because The Batman has dissapointed me so far and has made me want to watch the good ol Batman TAS again. I wonder if Animaniacs will end up in the US Boomerang in the future like it did on the UK Boomerang whenever Nickelodeon's rights for Animaniacs expires?

NOW it's starting to look like a classic schedule: Batman, Superman (the versions we all know and love), the Jetsons, and the Flintstones, all in "Prime Time."

BLT (and I don't mean the sandwich!) doesn't belong on Boomerang, I know, but it looks like they've got some kind of theme blocks going. Look at the other shows accompanying it: Tom & Jerry Kids, A Pup Named Scooby-Doo.

Another theme block: SWAT Kats with Hong Kong Phooey (superhero animals)
and on 7/11, SWAT Kats and Dastardly and Muttley (shows with emphasis on high-tech--and in Dastardly's case, low-tech--aircraft.)

Hmm... as I noted in the DC forum, since Boomerang (in the US at least) is supposed to showcase pre-Cartoon Network-era stuff (before circa 1995), B:TAS should qualify, though S:TAS seems a bit unclear (given my assumed cutoff date). Don't think Justice League or the like belongs on Boomerang, though...

As for "we all know and love", imagine the target audience grew up on the older Batman/Superman cartoons they've been airing on Boomerang. :-)

As for those airplanes on "Dastardly", well, the planes *were* pretty advanced to do stuff like giant snapping claws and swing baseball bats... ;-)

Between all these shows and an hour of Looney Tunes in primetime, this schedule seems more entertaining than CN's primetime schedule (no Pokemon--big plus...) ;-)

Tom and Jerry Kids and Baby Looney Tunes have no business being on Boomerang at 6 p.m. This is just sad and pathetic. Whatever Boomerang is trying to do, it's either abandoning it's desire to attrack a retro nostalgia viewership or becoming CN's junk drawer (kind of like when VH1 gave up on music and started running Paramount flicks that didn't even have rock oriented soundtracks).

It seemed like when the channel did it's little tour in my part of the country, it promoted itself as a channel where grown ups can expose their kids to their favorite Saturday morning cartoons. But what adult is going to wax nostalgic about Baby Looney Tunes with their five year old? It turns the channel into a family experience into a "babysitter."

This changing of the channel's focus makes me more eager to see my favorite H-B cartoons come out on DVD sets. It doesn't hurt me that the Flintstones and Jetsons were pushed back to 11 p.m. since I have all the Jetsons and half of the Flintstones. Still the move is annoying and I won't be flipping over to Boomerang when I get frustrated with the news.

The bigger question: will Boomerang start running ads? VH1Classic has.

This was the response I received when I wrote my concerns to Joe Swaney at Turner:

I just received this response to your inquiry from the Boomerang programming folks, which describes the audiences the network strives to reach at various dayparts...I trust it will answer your questions:

Thanks for the mail and feedback. Quick note to settle any concerns--

We will continue delivering to both our older viewers and younger viewers alike. Prime viewing kicks in post 8pm. In this zone we will see the focus firmly on delivering great retro-brands for our audience. In fact there are a number of new additions over the course of the year – including re-mastered Pink Panther, re-mastered Underdog plus the introduction of Batman the Animated Series and Superman the Animated Series into the Boomeraction franchise.

Up until 8p in the evening we need to maintain focus on the 2-5 and 6-11 audience. Post that, we have the freedom to go a little broader.

Hope that helps.

Cheers!
