comedic convenience? it is a plothole though you're right since he and every one of the other holo-fiends were sucked out into space

Damn.

I saw Futurama was on, so I figured I'd skip around for a half hour.

... after one and a half hours, I remember Adult Swim was on.

What's this about Evil Lincoln? I didn't notice him appearing after he got sucked out of space, guess I didn't pay that much attention. If the whole point of airing Futurama is to get more people to watch the anime, don't you think that maybe they should advertise the anime during Futurama?

They should make a color for that.

Huh, I guess people decided to skip PA and s-CRY-ed and go straight to FLCL.

Well, the last ASA did better than usual. It's still a bit low though.

No millions for Sunday, but still doing well.

It looks like the last all-action night for now actually pulled some decent numbers for the first houg (too bad we don't know about the middle hour). Too little too late though.

What's Adult Swim going on about with all this simian defecaton?

I hope AS didn't jump the gun putting Futurama back on. Those Saturday ratings aren't bad at all considering the history of an all action block. Maybe it was just a good week, but I don't think it would've hurt them to wait until FLCL finished it's run before deciding whether to abandon an all action Saturday or not.

So comedy outpolled action by only 2:1 on the final weekend of all-action Saturdays. Wonder what happened to Sunday to drag it down so.

It was interesting that Inuyasha edged out Champloo for the lead. Given all the hype I'd seen here and elsewhere for Champloo, I'd expected it would capture the #1 ratings lead every week. But that hasn't happened. Ya just can't keep a good dog down!!! IY ruled again!

Once more, PA failed to make an appearance in the top 3. That is a pity because Paranoia Agent is one of the most intriguing shows on AS since their premiere of FLCL. (Of course, this weekend ran Brittle Bullet, a fan-favorite episode.) And S-cry-ed is starting to get interesting now that some of the character dynamics have started to jell.

On Sunday, Family Guy ruled as usual, but not by its usual margins. And nobody broke a million. FG is becoming something of a cultural icon. In the Off The Mark cartoon (a Far Side clone) in my paper this morning, the background included a kid watching a TV with Peter Griffin on screen. (^_*)

Well, I don't know. The 1,000 viewer difference is pretty much negligible. ^^ While either show (Champloo or Inuyasha) might work well at the 11:30PM spot, keeping Champloo there means that it won't be pre-empted by movie premieres, which I suspect was an important part of Adult Swim's scheduling plan from the very beginning. (To bring FMA back in November instead of December)

What's Adult Swim going on about with all this simian defecaton? I have a feeling that all those "monkey defecation" bits had something to do with last night's Robot Chicken, which featured a shot of a monkey "doing his business" during the "Monkeys on Landmine Island" segment.

While 400,000 is better than the previous two weeks, it's still below Adult Swim's expectations. I think they want at least 500,000. It's interesting that the first all anime lineup was 400,000, then the next two weeks dipped to 300,000, and then it went back up to 400,000. I do wonder what would have happened next week if the all anime line-up continued, but now we'll never know.

I doubt AD will have any trouble attracting viewers on AS. Saturdays will remain as fickle as ever, I have no idea how Inuyasha and FLCL can just pop up like that but they continue to do. Champloo seems to be the only stead performer of the new shows, it'll be interesting to see what happens with the ratings now that Futurama is back and the schedule got shuffled.

Yeah those monkey defecation jokes were horrible. It reminded me of a Nickelodeon thing (maybe because it also had that VA who does many Nickelodeon/Nick at Nite commercials.) Also, I was so mad they had that lawyer guy talk about it, I thought it was going to be talk about new episodes of Birdman (well at least those are coming in 4 weeks.) I kind of found the monkey in the bathroom commercial a little funny, other than that, boo!

As for the ratings, I was expecting a return to the millions. Maybe soon though... I liked how the anime numbers steadily improved. Hopefully they'll be back to the good numbers they were when Futurama was on the block (500k-600k.)

this is a little late but heres a final send off to all action/anime saturday :)

by the way its strange how Scryed didn't sneak in this last week PA must have scared people off completely  but I have a feeling it will pop back in the top 3 a few more times before its over

one other thing: ATHF hurt me last night :crying: I was eating a pretzel while watching it and when Carls head randomly exploded and Shake was like "why wouldn't he?" well you know how milk can go out your nose if your laughing and drinking it? I laughed so hard a piece of the pretzel went about halfway up to my nose and was stuck there for like an hour until I was able to cough it back down and swallow it really hurt :( :( :(

A couple of weeks ago, I saw a decal on a car's rear window of the evil monkey from Chris' closet (doing the point and grimace).

Champloo seems to be the only stead performer of the new shows, If by steady you mean:

400,000 (3rd)
312,000 (1st)
267,000 (3rd)
404,000 (2nd)

then I guess you're right.

According to Adlink, looks like Cowboy Bebop comes back to weekdays on July 11th at 1:30AM.. with Ghost in the Shell leaving. FMA stays.

Edit: lfv made a schedule thread now with everything else there.
