What do you think about Jaken?

I've noticed that everyone at the official Adult Swim message boards hates Jaken and they always make threads about different ways they'd like Jaken to die. Personally, Jaken, Rin, and Sheshoumaru are my favorite characters. I think they're practically the only reason to watch the show. So, what do you think?

I think Jaken is amusing. Even though he is male, Jaken is like the ultimate Sesshomaru fangirl. He was a leader among his own kind but quit that life to follow Sesshomaru simply because Sessho was so gorgeous. As such, he's comic relief for Sessho. (^_*)

Jaken's semi-annoying,but can be funny at times(I like the episode where he tries to steal Tetsusaiga for Sesshomaru)....He's not a favorite of mine,but he's OK....

A little annoying sometimes.....but most of the times funny and good for comic relief. There's nothing like Sesshomaru stomping right on him without any remorse whatsoever. ;)

Actually, I was more talking about that flashback episode I saw once where he meets Sesshomaru for the first time and is all, "THIS MAN IS MARVELOUS I MUST FOLLOW HIM FOREVER!!!! HEARTS AND RAINBOWS"

Jaken is mostly pointless comic relief. InuYasha has Myoga and Sesshomaru has Jaken. It brings semitry in a strange way. An odd point is that as foolish as they are as vasels, both have the important "behind the scenes" knowlege for the sons of the DogDemon when it is most needed.

I freaking love Jaken. He's just the cutest, and funniest thing. And of course he's gay, why else would he be following Sesshie? I even have a plushie of him, it's so freaking adorable.
