I know this show aired on toonami at one time, but could it be possible for adult swim to pick up Rurouni Kenshin?

Not at all. The rights wore out on Toonami and they rarely go back and renew lisences on past shows. This show isn't really Adult Swim material anyway. You'd have to buy the DVDs or something.
