It's just been cycled off for the time being. I think it's airing around 2 AM Saturday mornings on TBS still.

It's always possible (unless the rights to this/Oblongs/Baby Blues expire) but right now they seem content on playing Venture Bros. and Home Movies at that hour (I believe HM is in it's season 3 or 4 run right now, so maybe when it's done Oblongs will air?) A warning in the future though is that Adult Swim is receiving more and more original series for their programming block and I'm sure they'll want to move some of their current ones (i.e. Sealab, and POSSIBLY return SGC2C and Brak Show at some point for reruns) at the later hours so they can make way for premieres of those new shows so they'll have to stop airing shows like Oblongs and Mission Hill. I won't conclude they will but it is possible.
Also, good news is that an Oblongs Complete Series DVD set is coming (is out?) If you're a huge fan of the show, I highly reccomend picking it up. I had to do it for The Critic once that was released.

Believe it or not, I think that Adult Swim purposely took The Oblongs off the air (for now at least) because the Complete Series DVD set is coming out soon. Remember when Family Guy first starting airing on Adult Swim. They skipped the first season, presumably because Fox wanted people to buy the DVDs. I am probably wrong, but it wouldn't surprise me if it were true. The Venture Brothers or Home Movies could have been taken off the air instead, but it was The Oblongs that took a dive. If it is true, and for those who are interested, I found that The Oblongs Complete Series DVD box set may be released on DVD on July 12th. I'm still waiting for TVShowsonDVD.com to confirm the date, but I hope it's true because I think it's a pretty decent show. I'll update as soon as I get a response.

maybe it just didn't do well in the ratings.

I recall it was often a top performer, and would occationally show up in the top 3.

Really? I can see a show at the 11pm or 12am hour getting good ratings but not necessarily a show that's on that late at night, especially a Sunday night/Monday Morning. I bet it's the TBS factor that is what is keeping it off the network for now.
I would think the audience would be larger if you include all the people who record the show. Some people can't afford to stay up til 2am for the show.

The main reason I think it's off is because they wanted to make way for American Dad (despite that one report on Fox holding AS from airing it Sundays, it appeared to change.) So therefore everything got bump up a half hour (Robot Chicken/Tom combo, ATHF/Sealab, etc.) Also I think they want to keep Venture Bros. every Sunday because they're banking on a second season of the show and want it to be a huge success, thus air it somewhere. As for why they didn't take off Home Movies.. I guess they want to give the show a full series run before even thinking of taking it off air? I mean, Oblongs has had many many runs.
