Feel the Magic as Cartoon Network and Miguzi welcome ‘Winx Club!’

Four weeks down, two to go! What will be the fallout from Bloom ruining the Day of the Royals Festival, and what will the Senior Witches do now that they’ve been kicked out of Cloud Tower? Jump on in and follow along… and prepare for Season 2 on 4KidsTV later this year!

Special Note: Because of lack of interest, this thread will feature the two remaining weeks of debuts, as opposed to two threads for each of the remaining weeks.

Episodes for Week Five (6/13-6/17/05)

Monday (6/13) “Senior Witches Go to Earth”: Feeling guilty about getting her friends in trouble, Bloom decides to leave Alfea with the intention of never returning. Meanwhile, the recently expelled Senior Witches catch Bloom leaving, and decide to follow her home to Gardenia.

Tuesday (6/14) “The Army of Decay”: With their newfound powers, the Senior Witches return to Cloud Tower and easily take control of the school, locking up teachers and students alike. They then get to work creating an army of creatures to do their bidding.

Wednesday (6/15) “Sparks of Hope”: Miss Faragonda realizes the only hope of saving Magix is for Bloom and the others to go to Sparks, Bloom’s original birthplace. Can the girls withstand the freezing temperatures and locate the source of the Dragonfire?

Thursday (6/16) “The Frozen Palace”: After miles of trekking, the Winx girls come across the frozen remains of the royal palace. Bloom learns the truth of her life on Sparks and why she was sent to Earth in the first place… but will the Dragonfire be there too?

Friday (6/17) “Mission to Cloud Tower”: Having no luck on Sparks, only one option remains… take the Dragonfire back from the Senior Witches! Bloom leads a small contingent into Cloud Tower, but getting past the witches’ defenses won’t be easy.

Episodes for Week Six (6/20-6/23/05)

Monday (6/20) “The Search for the Flame”: Bloom has finally found the Dragonfire, but ends up caught in a trap deliberately set up by the Senior Witches! Can Bloom reclaim what’s rightfully hers and escape from Cloud Tower alive?

Tuesday (6/21) “Battle for Alfea”: Miss Gryffin and the rest of Cloud Tower’s student body escapes to Alfea, looking to help the fairies and specialists hold off the Army of Decay. Meanwhile, having escaped a crash landing, Bloom is called towards Lake Crescent for some reason…

Wednesday (6/22) “The Great Witch Invasion”: Wanting to put an end to the war once and for all, the Senior Witches lead what’s left of the Army of Decay in one final winner-take-all assault on Alfea. Are the fairies, specialists, and witches strong enough to defeat them?

Thursday (6/23) “Fire and Ice”: The Senior Witches are in firm control of the battle, even besting the Winx girls… that is, until a reinvigorated Bloom finally arrives at Alfea! Will good or evil win the day, and whose version of the Dragonfire is stronger?

Notes:
- Spoilers: Because some people may have not seen these episodes for whatever reason, information regarding events that happen in the final episodes of Season One should be placed in spoiler boxes until those episodes air. Naturally, any info on Season Two, which has not yet aired in the U.S., MUST be put in spoiler boxes as well.
- Please keep all discussions civil. No bashing allowed! If you don’t like the show, please state why.

I haven't been able to catch this series because of work. I think I saw one episode on Saturday mornings. I don't "hate" it, but I just can't get into it. If characters are going to be bad cliches, they at least need to be funny. I won't judge the show any farther until I've seen a few episodes. :)

I can assure you, Stella comes with some funny comments. And there's some other funny stuff too.

Not that many people at the CN forums really care (in fact, does anyone who didn't watch the show before it come to CN care?)...

'Winx Club' moves one half-hour later to 5:30 pm E/P, effective today. This is the last week of CN premieres... the season 1 finale episode airs on Thursday.

On a somewhat related note... I like the new, refined 'Winx' talkback button. Anyone willing to take credit for it?

So in europe, they showed the end for this show?

So far, only Italy [the show's origin country] and (I think) Germany have begun airing Season 2. Italy should roughly be 8 episodes in, Germany about 4 (guessing... I don't know the official numbers).

The season 1 finale in the U.S. aired last December. Season 2 is expected to premiere on 4KidsTV in August or September.

(in fact, does anyone who didn't watch the show before it come to CN care?)...Not really no. Personally, it's not a show which was designed for anything close to my tastes, so I can cut it a bit of slack there.

Season 2 is expected to premiere on 4KidsTV in August or September. But the big question now is who will get it in the USA? Will 4Kids show it on 4KidsTV on Fox or show it on CN as part of the new 90-minute Sunday night bloc combined with Totally Spies and Atomic Betty? (Don't laugh at that idea, especially given CN's programming habits....)

I'm wondering that too. I have no idea which channel is going to get it, and what time it'd going to air.

Winx Club Season 2 will be on 4KidsTV, and starts on September 10th.

Winx Club Season 2 will be on 4KidsTV, and starts on September 10th.But, it will be very interesting to see if 4Kids allows CN to show Season 2 this Fall. The potential for an episode block (which I'll call Girl Power) on Sunday nights which looks like this:

1900 hours -- Winx Club Season 2
1930 hours -- Life and Times of Juniper Lee
2000 hours -- Totally Spies
2030 hours -- Atomic Betty

...With all-new episodes on all four shows could be a big ratings winner.

Agree with you 100% If Cartoon Network would only bring back Cardcaptors, and air it next to Winx Club, then we'd be set! An Hour of Magic Power! I know it won't happen, but it's fun to dream!
