to be honest, i think there's something cat - fishy about this one.. but i liked it, anyway.

The first ep was pretty good. The robin needs a name though. I suggest Boyd. :D It was kinda weird that he was grown up enough to go south, but couldn't fly unassisted. I enjoyed the fact that the only thing that the Bathound fears is an overly (un)helpful adolecent bird. It was kind weird watching the robin channel Darkwing Duck at the end, however.

The second ep was okay. We definately found that Kryptonite, at least the red vareity, affects Streaky. Oh well. It was an okay show, but there were time I wondered about Dooley (Dooley was a good ol' boy who lived below the mill...) When he started freaking out about Streaky being a cat and "Cats eat fish!" my reaction was, "What do you care? You're a mammal! And you eat fish too!" Interesting to see Delilah as well. Guess Snooky Wookums had some personal time.

The first episode was good with The Bathound,Joker's Hyenas and the robin, but I'd have to agree about the second episode falling short. But at least it showed Streaky's resourcefulness and ability to get out of jams.

About time Macanicats other minion returned. He really needs to hire more evil cats as he seems to only have the over worked Snooky and the under worked Delilah. Once again Streaky saves the day and gets little respect doing so. Oh and Red Kryptonite can effect anyone not just Superdog and cat as was shown in the first episode it appeared in.

An Ace ep followed by a Streaky ep? Awesome!

The first one was funny, even if Robbie was annoying. Seeing Ace laugh like that...weird. I wonder if Kevin's parents find it strange that he leaves a note for Krypto (then again, they probably didn't see it).

I guess I liked the second one better than you guys. My only two major complaints was that sharks, a whale, and a sunken ship were quite close to the shore and that there was no Aquaman mention (I've wanted to see his Seahorse Storm on the show for a while now). Still, Streaky looked and acted hilarious, and I laughed when the Supers flew out of the water and knocked that surfer over.

For the second week in a row 'Krypto' puts the spotlight on my favorite characters, Streaky and Ace. I enjoyed both of these a lot.

Bat Hound and the Robin
Ace just gets more and more interesting. At first he seems such an unflappable hero, but then we see him uncomfortable around the Dog Stars and now we learn that he can be so flustered by a small bird who hinders his crimefighting efforts. Funny idea and fortunately it ended just as it seemed they were about to run the joke into the ground and before that bird got too annoying. A fun little episode, but I hope we've seen the last of the Robin!

Furry Fish
OK, I admit the plot may not have been the greatest, but I can forgive that because this is Streaky the way I like him. He was funny but also got a chance to show his heroic side as well. I've always enjoyed the way that he can play the goofy sidekick but then surprise you with his ability to get out of tough spots, something we hadn't seen in the most recent Streaky episodes. Interestingly, while Krypto usually dominates the heroics, without their powers the two seemed to function more as equals and that was very refreshing for this fan of the cat. Glad to see Delilah back. She could make a good recurring villain for Supercat as there seems to be a real personal grudge between these two. Noticed that Mechanikat remembered Streak as Superdog's "annoying cat." Go Streaky!

I'm starting to miss Ignatius. Is he supposed to appear any more this season?

Bat Hound and the Robin: A cute episode though Robbie was wee bit annoying. Towards the end when Robbie said he was going to quit being Robin, I half expected him to show up in a black and blue mini-Nightwing costume instead. Funny Fact: When I first saw the title for this particular show, for a moment I thought Ace was going to be pestered by the actual Boy Wonder. So I half expected to see the other Robin show up.

Furry Fish: Streaky and Krypto looked ok as fish. I had doubts about this particular episode (what could happen in an underwater setting?) but I was wrong. This was an entertaining episode with a great new character, Dooley the dolphin. Though when he rescued Streak and Krypto from the sharks, I also thought Dooley was going to eat the two fish as well. It was also good to see Delilah as the cat villain of the day instead of Snooky. (It gets kinda old seeing the same evil blue kitten over, and over again. I like to see diversity on Krypto's villains).

So...if Superman got exposed to red kryptonite, would he turn into a fish?

I had to miss it due to my mom forcing the entire family to go on a family outing at the fair. Does anyone know when they will show a re-run of this episode?

Red kryptonite in Kryto has the random effect power that it had in Pre Crisis comics. Who knows what it will do and when.

It would depend on which Superman you watch. It wouldn't in Smallville, but any other Superman series have varying effects.

I loved Robbie the Robin. Ace's paranoia of him shows just how people do need their privacy at times. I also loved Krypto and Streaky as fish with all the catfish/ dogfish jokes.

Shouldn't this be in the DC forum or something?

Bathound and the Robin: I think I found a LOT of this very funny. It was the little things like the note Kevin left for Krypto and Ace's increasing paranoia. I have to say Robbie was kind of cute too and I found it funny how amused Bud and Lou were with him. Cute episode. ****.

Furry Fish: This was even better. Streaky's my fave so any episode that turns him into a fish wanting to eat himself is automatic gold in my book. I also loved how he STILL wanted to eat fishsticks at the end forgetting the moral completely. Streaky rules! ****1/2.

Average: ****1/2.

Didn't see the episode (and now that my job with Time-Warner Cable is no more, who knows when I'll be able to afford cable... *hmph*...).

Anyway:

In the original comics (the pre-Crisis, Earth-One, Silver Age mythos I, at least, grew up on--yeah, so I'm old ;-) ), Red Kryptonite affects all Kryptonians (but not anyone else) with a unique-to-that-piece bizarre affect, with the effect lasting from 24-48 hours, after which, the effect wears off, and a Kryptonian is forever immune to that piece of Red-K. Hence, if Superman were exposed to the Red-K that changed Krypto and Streaky into fish, he'd become a fish, as well.

Me too.

About the red kryptonite thing, why did the effects of this one not last 24 hours I wonder? Have they even been consistent with that? I haven't been paying attention (but I know they mentioned it).

Is there another time after Tuesday when it re-airs?
