Let's see what's on the menu this evening for a new episode:

Helping Hand/Neat Freak/Hypno-Kaz

In brief: Yumi sprains her hands signing autographs and uses a bell to summon Ami; Ami tells Yumi and Kaz to literally clean up their act; Ami hires a hypnotist to cure Yumi's nail-biting habit, but Kaz winds up the victim.

Later on, it's new Krypto and Billy and Mandy on the F-to-the-R-to-the-I-to-the-D-to-the-A-to-the-Y-to-the-S.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but this show has produced three good 7-minuters this week. And one of them has become my favorite one of this series to date, knocking out Season 1's "Stu-Pi-Doh!"

"Neat Freak" is the first 7-minuter that I practically laughed from beginning to end! I couldn't believe how much I laughed at the things Ami did. Yes, the whole 'neat freak' thing has been done before, but never to this kind of level! Outstanding!

"Helping Hand" and "Hypno-Kaz" were good, too. There was enough to make "Helping Hand" enjoyable, even with the predictable 'Yumi overabuses the help' policy. "Hypno-Kaz" was a riot! Yumi bites her fingernails incessantly whenever she's nervous? And Kaz acting anywhere from a monkey to a snake? Gold!

8 out of 10 this week. Arguably the best set of the series to date! They haven't gotten rid of the cliché plots, but at least in this instance they still made their spins fun to watch!

I think the show is getting a little better since Season 1.

You know, I gotta agree with you. The writing is getting better, and it's showing.

Although the writing is getting better, the animation still reeks.
