You've probably read about the incident on the Internet (including this message board). Well, now you can finally see the video of Man-Faye getting into trouble at Anime Expo 2004. Hmmm...you know, Man-Faye doesn't really look that fat. He only needs to lose maybe 10 or so pounds of fat. But, I don't see how someone can be discriminated against for having a hairy ass, I mean, why doesn't he just shave his ass? You know, I'm Man-Faye is gross because he's a man, but rather because he's hairy and flabby, I mean, it would look just as bad if it was a flabby, hairy woman. I wonder if Man-Faye would get more respect if he was a clean shaven body builder.

I always imagined that man-faye sounded like a guy with a faux japanese teenybopper accent and throwing in a japanese word ever other sentence...

but he sounds just like a normal guy....who dresses up as Faye...

it's just that the pants leave a bit too little to the imagination, I bet they were thinking that he would rip them on purpose and go running pantless thru the convention...I think he just needs a more solid and sturdy pair of pants...

Man-Faye is revealed... as a total attention-monger. Very lame.

Though he's half-right on the hentai sale side of the thing, but on the other hand, I can you know, not browse the hentai section of the DVDs and doujinshi. I can only avert my eyes after the fact should I run into man-faye at a convention. He's not neatly filed away with a big warning sticker than I can dodge, unlike the hentai and yaoi.

Exactly - that's the part that gets me the most.

If the people running the convention and the convention center authorities ask you to stop, you stop. You don't claim to be unfairly persecuted because of your hairy ass, and gather a protest group just outside the convention center. He's lucky they let him back in, but I can agree with the officials logic. There's photos of the guy in other (more clothed) costumes - it'd be fine if he just decided to to play by the rules and enjoy the con. But he has to be such an attention freak that he's going to try the same stunt again, and quite possibly drag others into it.

Besides, it's old. He should at least get a new gag. Something less disgusting, preferably. But he's actually been on TV because of this and made money through t-shirts and paypal. He's probably not willing to give this up until it crashes and burns.

Well, I guess as long as people by his crap, he'll keep doing his particular shtick. I know that I've I hadn't broken even on my nerdcore CD, I wouldn't be doing another, but I did, so I'm going to another disc with more of the same basic shtick (better lyrics and production though.) First rule of business is stick with what you know, and Man Faye knows that he sells as Man Faye, unfortunately.
