This is a one-question thread. I know there's already a talkbalk for the film, but I haven't seen it and don't want spoilers. Make sure you keep all comments about the quality of the movie, specific scenes, etc. on that thread, not this one.

So, like the title says, does anybody know which books in the Hitchhiker series are covered by the movie? I just finished the first book but the previews seem to indicate things that I haven't read yet. Is it just the first book with some added stuff? Does it cover the whole series? Or is it kind of a Liminy Snicket (sp.?) deal where it does like the first three?

It's a heavily rewritten version of the first book, which was a heavily rewritten version of Fits 1-4 of the radio show.

EDIT- Oh and it does include THE SHOCK TWIST! that was in Restraunt at the Edge of the Universe and Fit the 12th

Thanks, Lord Dalek. But, ummm...what exactly are the Fit's? I never even heard about the radio show 'till now. If it would give anything away to tell me, then fuggedaboudit, I'm just curious. At least now I know to finish Restaurant before seeing the flick.

Yeah, never heard of Fits and I'm a Hitchhicker fan from way back.

I was thinking that they really can't do "The book" in the movie. I just don't know how all that comedy would translate. The book is soooooo funny but most of it was in the discriptions and what happened was just kinda oddly funny.

People who know more feel free to correct me but I beleive "fit" refers to individual episodes of the radio programme.

GMB is correct. Fits are what DNA decided to call the episodes of the original radio show.

Currantly we are at Fit the Eighteenth.
