I don't get it, I keep using Anti-persperant and it doesn't work, I put a crapload on and I am usually soaking wet within an hour. It's pissing me off! I am afraid I have BO, SOME ONE HELP!:(

if you're nervous and worried about something then that usually ups your sweat quotient

old spice high endurance is the best stuff you can get. I still smell good after a whole day of sweating in this hot, humid weather.

if it's hot outside, there is nothing you're gonna do about sweat. (except maybe lose weight, if that might be a contributing factor?) also if you're sweating constantly because you're anxious, you might have an anxiety disorder.

Old Spice High endurance...is that the spray bottle kind? I got the Right Guard Extreme, what a ripoff, it doesn't work at all!

Some people sweat a lot more than others. If you're using anit-perspirant and still sweating a lot, you might want to go see a doctor. There's a condition called hyperhidrosis (http://www.parsec.it/summit/hyper1e.htm) which causes people to sweat a great deal, and you may have that or something similar. There are medicines available to help conditions like that, so you may want to look into it.

I feel so embarassed. I can't control it, it just starts leaking out. It seems to happen when I am nervous, because whenever school is over and there arn't any people around, I can relax and it just stops sweating. I must stop this evil sweat/odor. Somebody help!

I don't know how much anyone here can do to help. If you're really concerned about it, go see a doctor. The doctor will be able to tell you if it's stress/anxiety related, a skin/glandular problem, or if you just need to switch anti-perspirants. There's not too much anyone can do over the Internet to help you out.

I'd say go with what Shnay says.

Seeing your problem, it looks like it's stress related.

Well, here's my advice: please do not put a lot of AXE, if you buy some of the products (the cologne ones, not the body wash they now have). It smells bad mixed with sweat.

Well I use AXE body wash in the shower. I use AXE anti perspirant stick deoderant, This morning I used Right Guard Extreme(The New 40% Stronger) and it didn't help. I have people sitting next to me and I always hear sniffles and I heard a girl whispering to another girl the other day about it. It's awful, the more I get nervous, it starts pouring out of my pits!:(

Because Axe and Tag are not anti-perspirants, they are just body sprays . I would defenetly recomend seeking profesional help.

Should I mention that it is mainly my pits sweating, not my face or stuff. I feel scared to lift my arms, and keeping them down makes it sweat worse!

You are defenetly recting to something, some alergin maybe, because if its stess related, you would sweat all over. When did it start to happen, and during what serconstanses?

Wear one of those little scented air freshners shaped like a tree around your neck. Not only will you smell fabulous, all the girls will think you're pretty fly (for a white guy).

It just happened recently, I thought it had to do with the heat & my wearing of a sweatshirt, obviously not though since I have been wearing a T-shirt for the past week with no change. I don't get why my pits are sweating when I am nervous but nothing else isn't, and it just started happening recently

You realy should see your doctor. He will run some tests to tell you for shure.

But if it was allergies, why would they stop sweating when I am not nervous:sad: If you can wait till I get my docturate and MD Ph.D, I would be able to answer that question for you (hipocratical is a serious oath:D). But for now, see your doctor.

Kill yourself.You first, sparky.

Anyway. I recall hearing on some news magazine about people with gland disorders, I think, in which the body will perspire a great deal for little to no reason. I suggest going to a doctor and asking about it, or doing some research online.

I belive Shnay is right, it sounds like stress. When I was school I used to be within a lot of stress, especially when I was in Year 10 & 11, even though my school shirt was very thin, I used to sweat like hell. In my last few months at school (between Nov 2000 - May '01 -ah, those were the days!), I didn't sweat as much, as there was less homework, and I gained a lot of popularity. One word of advice, don't wear a dark shirt and use dry spray deodorant!

If you can, get the 24 deodorant. Trust me, I've used all the kinds, and even when I was nervous and started sweating, I still smelled great. A plus is chicks think you're wearing axe, because it smells similar.

Rght now I use Old Spice Sport, but it doesn't last nearly as long as 24, but I think it smells better and I no longer have a problem with sweating randomly.

Where do they sell 24? Is it spray or rub on?

My information isn't any more valid than any one elses, but,,,

I don't see your age but I'm guessing you're a teen. If it's just happening during stress and exersize,,,, relax. Sounds silly I know and it won't really help, but it doesn't sound like a "disorder". Everyone is a little different and alot of it is about how your body is accustomed to heat. I've looked into oversweating from a medical point of view (no, I'm not a doctor, and am not the final authority) and options are limited as far as drugs that I've heard of for medical conditions. But armpits sweat, most antipersperants use the same aluminum somethingorother and can only control so much. Try different deodorants/antipersperants, some will work better than others for different people

Youv'e been getting a lot of people telling you to go to the doctor, so add another one. don't be afraid or embarased to go to a doctor, if you have a problem they can and will do their best to help. again DO NOT BE AFRAID to go to the doctor.

but, I will just say this, UNTIL you go to the doctor, maybe you could try something like baby powder or talcum (sp?) powder or goldbond or something like that. (.....are these all the same?)

bottom line, even if it isn't a condition and it is stress related, go to the doctor NOW. If he can't help you, he will refer you to someone who can, like a (I can't think of the word....) Skin Doctor.

puberty perhaps?

guinaevere
04-24-2005, 12:28 AM
Spongebrain, yes, puberty may have been the cause of the sudden increase in your perspiration.

BUT FIRST: Relax a bit. breath in... and out. Breath in... and out... nice deep breaths? Controlled? Good!

NOW MORE IMPORTANTLY: Tell Mum or Dad that you need to see a doctor (a family/general practitioner). And go see him. =)
