View Full Version : My sister keeps getting into my account!

The Dark Gundam

I've changed my password twice, and somehow, my sister has gotten into my account nearly everyday. I've been wondering why it kept on saying that I last visited at 8:13 AM this morning when I'm at school then, and my sister goes into school at 8:30. I don't know what to do. How does she keep on getting my password? I don't give her hints, I log off my account, but she somehow ends up getting on it. I'm changing my password again today, but I hope she doesn't log in on my username again. I don't know what to do. Anytime I leave my house, she could post some crap and end up getting me banned! I'm just sick of it. I don't know what to do.

She can READ YOUR MIND!!!! hahaha.:p

Maybe you could like change your password to something really complicated.

No cookies for j00.

(it's a riddle, figure it out)

I swear, your sister could star in a M. Night Shyamalan movie.

If she finds your password... gee, don't know really... Metroid Spy's suggestion seems the only possible solution, change your password to something she has no clue about, but other than that... I don't know.

Do you stay logged in at all times? That could be the problem.

get her her own account

Make sure you log out, you don't leave the autocomplete on and use a set of numbers you have written down somewhere.

Might also want to check your email. Could be she knows your email addy and your details well enough to use "forgot password" and sneak into your email account.

Whatever it is, you need to sort it out because if she starts messing around in your name, I'm afraid the account owner has to take full responsibility for the actions taken in that account name.

That's probably it! she is likely using the "I forgot my password" option that she is using.

get her her own accountThat wouldn't be such a good idea. She hates Toonzone and thinks it's "evil." As people have heard, she's even resorted to burning my Gundam Wing DVD. And she's nine. She once snuck onto the forums with her friend, Jamie and her brother, Joe, who was also known as RaveMaster1 when he had his own account. They were banned within two days. And RaveMaster1 didn't take it lightly. I was playing football in the yard with some of my friends, when he came up and shot me with a paintball gun right in the... well, I don't wanna talk about it. I somehow got up, took the gun, and hit him in the face with it, and he ran off cussing at me (I kept the paintball gun:D ). Then I just laid down in pain, and my friends had to help me up. And Jamie, my sister's friend, was the one who gave her brother the address. Ever since that happened, I've been in a lot of pain for the last couple of days. Trust me. A LOT OF PAIN.

Just remember to log off every time you leave the computer, even for just the bathroom. Then it should be fine.

What a spoiled brat!

Somebody should teach that brat a lesson.

Just remember to log off every time you leave the computer, even for just the bathroom. Then it should be fine.
She knows dude.

Well....what is ONE thing she doesn't know about you? Put it in.

Either that, or she's hacking.

Time for revenge. What would make her cry and also make sure she never goes to TZ again? You think about it.

Well....does she still fear the parents? And is she watching you while you're changing it?

If you have notes lying around that tell of your current password, memorize it. Take it to school. Memorize it there. And then rip them up and throw it out....well, at school.

Just make sure your password isn't saved anywhere on your computer and make it really complicated, like f6Gt778TT65r3

Right before you sign off, change your password, right it down, then delete the e-mail!

Maybe it has nothing to do with Toon Zone... Maybe she knows the password to your e-mail!?!
So, change your e-mails password, and see if she stops!

Just an idea:D

Is there a library or college near-by? They normally have computers you can use, and sometimes colleges will let non-students use them if you can't find a library close by. Just remember to log out when done.

Yeah, figure out a new password for both here AND your E-MAIL. If she knows you well enough, find something on the web or real life you would not be interested in normally, something she wouldn't think of, and then scrammble it up in case.

If worse comes to worse, you could always open a new account here and a hot-mail account or anyother free web-based e-mail service, and ONLY, ONLY use that TZ name and Hot-mail/whatever accounts AT THE LIBRARY.

The last one is a LAST RESORT, you must never go to TZ or that e-mail account when home (don't even get tempted to do it if home alone, you might leave the page up and logged in and she might be pop up.)

And of course using the library for either your current or, if last resort, new account name will be worthless if she SPIES on you at the library, since I'm assuming she's gonna read MY post eventually. Make sure you get a computer that someone can't easily see from far away and is away from any book selves or anything she can spie from.

(Sorry about the caps, wanted to make sure you got all that.)

Good luck to you, and you wouldn't be offended if I talk to her right now and call her a *****, would you? 'Cause I really want to talk to her right now and call her a *****.

"Yo kid. You're a *****."

"Also, relax before you hit puberty, get so stressed out you quit being so conservative, go to a liberal way of life, but to radical, unhealthy extremes, and end up as a pregnant teen, having totally destroyed your future. 'Cause you know all the pregnant teens you hear about in health class and on TV? Guess what. They're real, and some were just like you."

I didn't offend you, did I The Dark Gundam? Because if I did, sorry, although I won't apologize to her.

She could have placed a key logger on your pc, alowing her to read every key stroke you make, even when you change your password. Key loggers are usualy made to spy on others so they are almost undetectable. When you reboot your machine, make shure that there is no software thats loading on startup that you dont know. And if this doesnt help, go to alt+ctrl+delete and go to prosseses tab and see if there is any program running that is suspitious, (i.e. keylogger.exe) or something like that.

Edit: they are also very easy to get and install, download.com (CNet) has a few free ones.

...............Sorry, that was out of line. She still is being a little witch with a "B", but the rest? I went overboard. I've been kinda depressed lately with college and my crappy part-time (NOT that its an excuse, I went from justified insulting to unjustified and completely overboard). I went off the handle in another thread, calling the Sealab creators children just becasuse they had a bad ending to a good episode. Maybe I should just stay offline for awhile or limit my time per day until I get out of this.

Sorry again for going too far.

Oh....that could be the reason why.

Try to run a scan for EVERYTHING. You could try also downloading Hijack This! But, doing that won't be too easy. I suggest you get help from Sampo. He's one of the Senior Members here. He knows a lot of technical stuff.

shoujoaifan...that would be great to say right in her face. I would add something to make that brat cry. And her friend, and her friend's brother.

But that's just me. Sorry mods if that's unappropriate, although I won't apologize to those three.

No cookies for j00.

(it's a riddle, figure it out)Clear your history, basically. Delete all cookies. Get a new e-mail address, and change your profile to conform with that new e-mail address. Make such a complicated password (use a word that most people don't use 'till they're 60) that she won't figure it.

If not that, then change your username. But, keep it complicated for her/simple for us.

As I said before, they are made stealth, only a techie or a hacker (like myself) can detect them and stop them. But I would need to be phisicly at the computer, or have a virtual network running so i can see what he sees.

Yeah try to make up a really long password that you will remember, or one that's hard to spell. I'm the only one in my family that can pronounce my password let alone spell it.

Wild Goose

The problem with making up these passwords is that if she's installed a keylogger on his computer, it's useless. It's like typing in the password in the dark, but she has NVGs, and can see which keys are being pressed (which, incidentally, is one of the puzzles in Tom Clancy's Spilnter Cell).

That kid sister of yours is also a spoiled brat. My brother and I have our own issues, but one thing we agree on: we don't touch each other's stuff. (Except for manga, since that's more or less joint property to us). Educate her...

Actually, if you want to scar her for life, there are a large number of things I could think off - but if she blabs, well, you're in trouble. Also, I suppose it would take too much time. Whenver you change your password, lock your door, and close the curtains and windows, and make a sweep of the room for hidden cameras. She can't possibly have acess to the tiny spycams, so if there is one, it should be visible.

Find some dirt on her, and use that as leverage - but since she's 9, I doubt it'll work very well. Alternatively, since she's a girl (no offense to tech savvy girls here), there are some things you can do to pysically stop her. Unplug your keyboard from the INSIDE, for example. Set passwords that use letters and numbers: my brother and I use Evolution, GT-R, Trueno and Impreza chassis codes as our passwords, along with a word that's an Initial D referance.

Lastly, tell her that if she has a problem with Toonzone, that's all fine and well, and that if she continues to be an idiot, you'll ream her a new one good. (influence of noddy and yagami, I suppose....)

Thanks for the plug. :) I don't mind helping folks out there. Although, I'm no expert. Just a guy who messes around with his computer too much and a person who can't stand random garbage slowing my comp down.

Edit: they are also very easy to get and install, download.com (CNet) has a few free ones. Dang, but she is 9 years old. Also those Keyloggers at download.com are mostly trial versions. Based on the various reviewers comments, there are nag screens that pop up or have a short trial time before they stop working and you have to pay for the full version.

Although here is a Free program that supposedly Protects you from Keyloggers Link. (http://www.download.com/SnoopFree-Privacy-Shield/3000-2092-10336141.html)
It's called SnoopFree Privacy Shield. I only used it once so I dunno if it actually works. It is really easy to install and uninstall and there appears to be no spyware loaded with this program. I guess it's ok.

Best thing to do. Just what Toonmaster said, when you log off also delete your cookies and history. To do this with IE.
-Go to your menu bar, select "Tools"
-Select "Internet Options" from the drop down menu.
-Under "Temporary Internet Files" Hammer on "Delete Cookies" "Delete Files"
-Under History, nuke that by hitting "Clear History"

Hmm if you want. Everytime you have to leave the computer to do something, reboot it. I know that sounds dumb, but eh it's something

Or just use Firefox browser, it leaves no Cookies on your hard disk, just your memmory, and you can clean it with one easy step. From your Firefox browser, go to Tools, Options, go to Privicy, and click Clear All.

And like someone mentioned before, just unplug your modem.

Yeah, go get Firefox. Also come up with a new password for you that's VERY complicated.

Also, if you have Windows XP, if you log on, make ANOTHER complicated password. So she can't get in.

Anyways...an update please?

Not sure even that will work, because she could stumble across it and then she'll know what he's doing.

You might want to keep a hidden camera that is not in focus of the computer screen and keyboard. So when she has been creeping in, you'll know when she's been going in, what she's been doing, etc. So, you can complain to your parents, etc.

Or, find something really dirty about her and try to shut her up.

Other than that, threaten her with bodily harm. Collect evidence of her wrongdoing, confront her, and if she gives you more ****, then give her the *****-slap of doom, ala "Take no **** from pilots" Bright Noah.

There are also more invasive methods that could be pursued, but for those, I'd have to check with the guy who claims to be my sensei.

There is a non violent, full prof solution to this mess but this would take some time. If this is realy a bother to you, just format your pc, change youe email and toonzone passwords and install a free SnoopFree Piracy Shield on your pc. And or Hacker Eliminator ($$$) but works like a charm. Also, Norton Internet Security would not hurt. (I got more Firewalls, Antivuruses, Skip signals and switching nodes on my pc than the Pentagon:D) I am peranoid against piracy, because I have been hacked once and almosed hacked 4 times.

Edit: I use Ad-Aware SE Pro 1.05, and it works against all key loggers, adware, spyware, malware, and trackware.

WG, but if she rats on him, then he's in trouble. If they take his side, she'll just cry.

Well, at the time I posted that, I wasn't in my usual "WG is happy and loving to the world" mood.

*shrugs* How am I supposed to know? I've only had a brother. I still say find some dirt on her and use it as leverage. You'd be surprised how useful it can be... And if she spills anything on you, you can fire back with the dirt. Mutual Assured Destruction. That was the policy of the USSR and the USA during the Cold War, with both sides staring at each other with thousands of nukes.

Alternatively, you could go the H-manga route and seduce her - but that'd be illegal on more counts than I care to tally up (not to mention morally rephrensible, but I'm just presenting options here).

OR we're all over-estimating her, and she just knows how to get into his E-mail...

I did that to a freind once. He left his GameFaqs account logged in at school, so I changed the E-mail adress and had it send me his password. Then, I changed it back. He also used universal passwords, so I was able to get into his E-mail.

That's probably exactly what your sister did.

Wild Goose
04-24-2005, 08:45 AM
That actually makes sense, and for a tech-savvy kid, is perfectly doable...

By the way Tash, why are you tired? Delievering tofu up Akina-san at 4 am? ^_^

That's why I say, use passwords that are chassis codes, like AE86, SXE10, BNR32, CE9A, etc... no 9-year old girl is goin to know what these things mean.
