I love "Daffy Duck in Hollywood", but one thing about that cartoon has always bugged me. No matter how hard I try, I can't roll my "R"s like the director did. I've tried for years and years without any luck. It must be a genetic thing.

It's sort of a gargling motion. Open your mouth wide, flatten your tongue on the floor of your mouth, and let the air from your throat vibrate against your soft palate. That should do it. I've heard a lot of first-year Spanish students who share the same complaint. This is the South, after all...it's very hard to speak perfect espanolwhen one has a thick Southern accent. :cool:
