Super Agent Much? - #067

Sam and Alex confront Clover about slacking off during their missions. On the next mission, when they lose track of Clover, they later find her single-handedly defeating the villain. Suddenly, Clover is acting differently. Her spy skills keep getting better and better. When Sam and Alex investigate they find out that another agency has secretly modified Clover into a super agent so they can recruit her. In the climax, it's Sam and Alex versus the super agent to try and get the old Clover back. In a b-story, Clover's busy social life is interrupted when she becomes a super agent.

Bad things first off:
- Animation error? When Arnold shows the 'Clover's popularity chart,' why doesn't anyone point out the big downslope to nothingness the line graph goes to at the end? Bad foreshadowing here... bad!
- Clover: Popularity :^:, Shopping :v:? What's wrong with this picture?
- Now I can honestly say for the first time this season that I have noticed Jerry's voice change in an actual episode. And it was terrible. I couldn't tell the difference for the first 15 eps this season... why change now?
- Clover coming up with a plan to increase the girls' "successful villain capture" percentage by 47.9% (by nearly half). I know the girls aren't perfect... but is their rating really that bad?!

Yeah, I'm being really nitpicky. Anyway... the good stuff:
- "Why are you screaming? We've done this a thousand times!" - Clover. Good point... you'd think you'd get used to it. Then again, who could ever get used to suddenly falling down holes that whoosh them away?
- "This would be real cool if it wasn't so evil." - Alex. Eh... sounds way too similar to one of Ron Stoppable's (KP) secondary catch-phrases.
- "A true spy isn't all gadgets!" - Sam. To a point, it's true. I would've gone along the line of, "A spy is only as good as how well he/she uses his/her gadgets."
- Seeing Clover become the super spy, catching pretty much every villain in existance, and ending up a cyborg (in name only) for S.P.I.? Priceless. And, yeah... the fact that her eyes were each a different color was freaky, too.

I'll give "Super Agent Much?" an 8 out of 10. Much better than I originally expected.

My comments:

I too noticed the error early in the ep with that chart. The animators must've been half-asleep when they did that.:shrug:

Also, anybody notice cameos of Martin Mystery & Diana?

Wow, Geraldine from "S.P.I." has returned and turned poor Clover into "The Bionic Teen!":eek:

The freakiest part was Clover's use of that glove--instant female Freddy Krueger!:ack:

I'm just glad Sam used the high-frequency sound device to help Clover snap-out-of-it, and then Jerry using that anti-dote serum to revive her.:anime:

However, I just couldn't help feeling sorry for Clover at thew end after she realized she quit all those clubs and her popularity hit rock-bottom.:(

Still, a great ep. I give this ep 4 stars. Don't worry, Clover. I don't care what anybody here nor in any other forum thinks or says about you. You'll always be popular to me, girl. Really.:(

I loved this ep!! =] After seeing clips of the rest of the season 3... its getting better and better! I never expected Geraldine to return.. how do all these villains escape WOOHP custudy jeez! lol

I enjoyed it. One of the better episodes. I too noticed the animation glitch. In the old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series there were many glitches like this in each episodes. It's not like Totally Spies is as old at TMNT, so they can easily fix their mistakes. Guess there was miss comunication between the animators and the voice actors.

Definitly freaky to see Clover have two different eye colors. I like the episodes that are like this episode. Probably 10 out of 10.

I like Clover. I like her more and more every episode I watch.

Wonder how many more episodes there will be until the end of the series? Hopefully quite a bit more!

Sweetness. After watching FMA every Saturday night, I need my light-hearted Sunday TS.

Can't really think of anything to say about this episode that hasn't already been said(that's why I'm so late posting). It was alright. 7/10
