View Full Version : Get a free plastic hand from Nintendo
http://www.touchingisgood.com/
That is by far the weirdest promotion I've ever seen Nintendo do. I'd personally rather have another demo card for my DS.

I'mjust confused as to why Nintendo would even bother... I mean, 2 stylus' come with the DS, why on earth would you need a hand is just beyond me.

Um, they're giving away money and DS games and handhelds, not the hands. The hands are just there for you to order if you can't find one of your own.

Oh yeah  That changes everything. God... I am dense today :D
But this competition, Nintendo are certainly shelling out in the cash... I wonder why? Maybe they've suddenly become immensly generous.

If I had three hands, I would have two for both ends and one for the stylus, making the DS a lot easier to use. No more choosing between the buttons or just the stick.

Click where it says "Touch this" to watch the video. Reeaaallly weird stuff. I think the toilet paper part towards the middle is a tribute to Wario Ware:Touched if I had to guess. :p
Still, it's a pretty unique promotion for the DS.

The hands are just there for you to order if you can't find one of your own.Just click "give me a hand" and they'll send you a mannequin hand for free (if you are a Nintendo.com member). I've already received my shipment status.

For those of you who signed up, how long did it take for a shipment status? I typed in my User Name and Password, but didn't get like a confirmation screen or anything, but "my order is confirmed".

Got the shipment confirmation and email! Took just a day so you should be getting yours soon if not already.
This really is a freaky odd promotion, but I like the idea, and free stuff rocks no matter what. I'm gonna carry it around and have everyone stare at me funny! Woo! Now, to think up a 'Touching is Good' entry for the contest...
