$35,000 bling for your PSP

Sony's PlayStation Portable just hit the stores and is in hot demand.

But if you've got one and you really want to be cool, consider this luxury accessory at the intersection of fashion and technology: Simmons Jewelry is offering a $35,000 jacket cover for the handheld gaming system. It's a diamond-laden, gold jacket that fits over the PSP.

The accessory adds a pound of 14-karat gold to the PSP and 8 karats of diamonds. It comes with a crocodile finishing on the back.

Dang....... that PSP is worth a LOT of money. Personally I wouldn't do that because for one thing I don't have that much money and second, I tend to lose things and if I lost that I would go crazy.

So how many people would take their PSP out of their house after putting one of those on? This useless appendage completly throws the idea of taking the PSP anywhere out the window. You're going to be watching your Spiderman 2 movie or play GT4 and eventually look around your room and go "Hey I'm better off playing this on the big screen. What the Heck was I thinking?! In fact this thing is to valuable to use now anyways."

I don't know what bedazzles me more. Giving the OK to make this from Sony's office or the fact that less that 2 people in the world outside of the Sony and Simmons Jewery companies will indeed buy this.

I didn't care the one shown. If it's gold, yellow gold is all I wear, I don't care for white gold. If it's going to be a white gold color, just go for broke and do it in platinum.

That might very well be the biggest waste of $35,000 in history. If you have so much money that can spend all of that money on putting gold and diamonds on a vidoe game system you either:

A)Have WAY too much money and should consider giving money to charity or at least spending in on something other than yourself.
OR
B) Need to put your priorities in place on how to spend your income.

I mean, I don't have a problem with buying nice things for yourself, but that's just insane and stupid.
