Another PR included in the mess of upfront PRs on AdultSwim.com.

Adult Swim 2004-05 Season-to-Date Ratings Up 50%,

Delivery Up 42% with Adults 18-34

All Target Young Adult Demos Now Soaring by Double-Digit Gains, Beating Most Late-Night Broadcast TV

Original Series Aqua Teen Hunger Force and The Venture Bros. Rise 100% in Adults 18-34 Ratings While New Series Robot Chicken Proving a Hit in Just Four Weeks

If Measured as Separate Network, ADULT SWIM Ranks #1 Among All Cable with Adults 18-34

Climbing the ratings and delivery charts in young adults by powerful double-digit gains, Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim is poised to rank #1 in adults 18-34 among all basic cable networks when Nielsen Media Research begins reporting its performance as an individual network on March 28. The late-night franchise of edgy animated entertainment also earned significant season-to-date (Sept. 20, 2004-Mar. 13, 2005) increases across the board for its target demos, scoring particularly strong ratings and delivery improvement with its original series, including Aqua Teen Hunger Force and The Venture Bros. Additionally, Adult Swim will score its best ever 1st Quarter performance with adults 18-34and adults 18-24 since its premiere in fall 2001.

Compared directly against its own performance in the same time period last year, highlights of Adult Swim’s season-to-date performance, along with results from key individual shows, include the following:

Adult Swim (Monday-Thursday, Saturday-Sunday, 11 p.m. - 5 a.m.)

· Adults 18-34 delivery (399,000) increased by 42% and ratings (0.6) by 50%.

· Adults 18-24 delivery (205,000) improved by 35% and ratings (0.7) by 17%.

· Men 18-34 delivery (251,000) jumped by 27% and ratings (0.8) by 33%.

· Men 18-24 delivery (140,000) advanced by 22% and ratings (1.0) by 25%.

· Women 18-34 delivery (147,000) raced ahead by 77% and ratings (0.5) by 67%.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force (All 2003-04 Airings vs. 2004-05 Airings)

· Adults 18-34 delivery (494,000) expanded by 82% and ratings (0.8) by 100%.

· Adults 18-24 delivery (259,000) rose by 59% and ratings (0.9) by 50%.

The Venture Bros. (All 2003-04 Airings vs. 2004-05 Airings)

· Adults 18-34 delivery (388,000) surged by 74% and ratings (0.6) by 100%.

· Adults 18-24 delivery (188,000) raced ahead by 22% and ratings (0.7) by 17%.

Adult Swim also has the distinction of regularly beating many of broadcast television’s high-profile talk shows in their delivery of key young adult demos. Among adults 18-24, men 18-24 and men 18-34, Adult Swim out-delivers The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Show with David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Late Late Show with Craig Furguson (results measuring 1st Quarter 2005, Nielsen Media Research).

Scoring immediately on the ratings/delivery charts, Cartoon Network’s newest original series, Robot Chicken (Sunday, 11:30 p.m.), created by Seth Green and Matthew Senreich, has noted dramatic increases in just four telecasts vs. the same time period last year:

Robot Chicken (Sunday, 11:30 p.m.)

· Adults 18-34 delivery (602,000) mushroomed by 91% and ratings (0.9) by 80%.

· Adults 18-24 delivery (297,000) ballooned by 69% and ratings (1.1) by 83%.

On the acquisitions front, such high-profile shows as Family Guy and Futurama continue to provide top ratings for Adult Swim. Among recent ratings/delivery highlights, the March 1 telecast of Futurama (11:30 p.m.) scored Cartoon Network’s highest adults 18-34 (1,260,000) and men 18-34 (826,000) deliveries ever for a single telecast. Keep in mind those averages are for ALL the airings. Premieres, encores, you name it.

Another oddity. Unlike most Adult Swim shows where 18-24 year olds weigh in as majority viewers, 25-34 year olds are the dominating force in Robot Chicken's viewership.

Sheesh, they may just use every possible verb they can by next year.

Though I agree, they should have mentioned something about their action shows.

Go Adult Swim!

Though I agree, they should have mentioned something about their action shows. They probably didn't do well enough to be worth mentioning. Neither did Tom or Sealab.

I'd have thought FMA's ratings would be worth bringing up, but I guess after factoring the three encore airings they aren't as impressive.

Still, nice for ATHF and Robot Chicken, and AS overall is looking great.

Well, according to that the anime at least beats the Late Late Show with Craig Furguson and possibly Jimmy Kimmel, but apparently, Conan O'Brien is the one late night show that Adult Swim can't beat...

And it's been that way for a while. Conan is the toughest of the bunch to beat (I can see why). NBC, CBS and ABC aren't too concerned though because 25-54 and 55-dead seem to be where they're targeting their late night talk shows towards.
