Inuyasha/Kikyou or Inuyasha/Kagome?

I know this question probably has been asked quite a few times already, but still. Between InuYasha/Kikyou or InuYasha/Kagome, which pairing do you most prefer.

Personally, lately I've been leaning more towards InuYasha/Kikyou. I find their relationship much more interesting and less cliched. Also, I've been finding the InuYasha/Kagome relationship rather boring now. It just seems like some of their charm has wore thin in the more recent episodes.

I honestly can't decide which pairing I like better....I sort of like Inuyasha/Kagome because I think they're cute together and their arguments are funny(unless she ends up "sitting" him a bunch of times)...but Inuyasha/Kikyo is more romantic/dramatic.....Inuyasha will probably end up with Kagome though because,well,she's still alive,unlike Kikyo (unless Takahashi does an ending where Inuyasha goes to Hell with Kikyo)...

I favor the Inu/Kagome pairing. (But then again, I've always preferred live girls to dead ones. Silly me!!)

Inu and Kikyou had their chance but their own imperfections allowed a cruel and selfish villain an opening to tear them apart. Kikyou might have been a better match for Inu, if she had lived. But that pesky thing about her being dead keeps getting in the way now. Besides, Kagome isn't exactly a bad choice, ya know. While she may be a bit whiny, she also is pretty, clever, resourceful and devoted to Inu.

This topic will probably annoy the Inu-bashers around here no end. But face it, one reason Inuyasha is popular is because it offers its legion of fans fertile ground for discussions such as this. (^_*)

I much prefer Inuyasha and Kagome, based on where I'm at now(a little behind in the manga). Kikyou got played out fast. I was really annoyed because


She finally gets killed "permanently" by Naraku, but after a relatively small passage of time, she gets ressurected again.

I’d have to go with Kagome. There just isn’t enough information about Inu/Kikyo besides they were once in love AND THEN A DEMON DISGUISED AS INUYASHA SNUCK UP BEHIND HER AND SLASHED HER SHOULDER!!! :eek:

Plus Kikyo is dead and made up of dirt and dead people’s souls and quite frankly those are disturbing attributes to have in a lover. Think about that for a moment. You are kissing your lover, things are getting hot and heavy and the next thing you know you have mouth full of dirt and some wierd soul catcher is humping your leg.

Never mind the fact that even if she was alive she’d be like 60 years old and look like Kaede.

Without even discussing Kagome, she wins by default.

Kagome out of nonconditional acceptance. I believe that Kikyo's love for Inu-Yasha seems to be conditional. Remember that she is a priestess, raised to oppose, combat, and destroy demons. In short, I bet that she has never considered friendship with a demon (or ever will) because of her upbringing.

Yes, Kikyo falls in love with Inu-Yasha, but I think the main reason she ever accepted this relationship was the fact of Inu-Yasha's half-human side. She doesn't accept his demon side. She demands Inu-Yasha that their relationship will happen once he uses the Shikon jewel to make himself fully human. This implies that Kikyo has no acceptance of Inu-Yasha being a half-breed. She wants Inu-Yasha to be something he isn't to suit her own needs.

Kagome, on the other hand, accepts Inu-Yasha for what he is, half-breed ears and all. She also has friendships with demons like Jinenji and Shippo. True, she doesn't want Inu-Yasha to become a full demon, but it becomes clear to Inu-Yasha that that offer isn't really for him either (also, she has never once demanded Inu-Yasha to be a full human).

Kagome's love is unconditional. Kikyo's love is conditional. No doubt here who deserves Inu-Yasha.

You know I herd a rumor about Inyuasha dying on the last episode but it might just be a rumor. But you know everybody saying that Inuyasha and kagome is a better couple, but if you look at it Inuyasha and Kagome would never work they live in two different timelines, and plus Kagome world would never would work because the people in Kagome world don't see demons walking around alot. Kikyou and Inuyasha would work she still alive walking isn't she and plus if the rumor is true that Inuyasha dying at the end then Inuyasha and Kikyou would be a better couple since they both go to hell.
