So what concerts have you guys been to over the years and which one was your favorite.
I've been to
Savage Garden
Bruce Springsteen
Matchbox twenty
Lee Greenwood
Ones I was forced to go to with parents
38 special (had no idea who they were and did not really like them)
firefall (that concert was so loud I could not hear for the rest of the night)
Concerts I had tickets for but never went
Tom Petty (wanted to do homework for some reason so I did not go, what a mistake)
Sting (never found the tickets)
My favorite was probably Matchbox twenty because I went twice after he got sick the first time and then the second time he felt so bad about that concert that he wanted to be there all night singing different songs from other groups. Plus my seat was in the hockey box next to the stage so I got a nice view of him. :anime:

Eeh... I've been to a lot. Uh, how about just the couple of concerts I went to last year?
Hanson (free concert though I went through hell to get the tickets!)
Blink 182
Alanis Morissette and Barenaked Ladies
Hanson, again.
and my favoritest band... Troubled Hubble.
The best concert I went to last year was the Alanis/BNL one. I had great luck, because after BNL played a chick came up to my sister and I (my sis is a big Alanis fan, like me) and asked us if we wanted her seats because she had to leave. The seats were 7th row! Best seats I've ever had at a concert at that big a venue. It was truly awesome.

Like Kurt, I've been to way too many to count. Austin is a good place for live music, so I've been to a whole lot of smaller shows over the years. I try to see live music at least once every couple of weeks, so there's no way I could list all the acts I've seen. Most of them are relative nobodys, though. If I focused on the larger, more well-known artists, the list would look something like this:
-Elvis Costello
-Robert Plant
-The Eagles
-B.B. King
-The Toadies
-Robert Earl Keen
-Los Lobos
-Solomon Burke
-Neil Young
-Los Lonely Boys
-Pearl Jam
-Alice In Chains
-Stone Temple Pilots
-Soundgarden
-Willie Nelson
-Buddy Guy
-Eric Clapton
-Spoon
-Franz Ferdinand
-Modest Mouse
-Al Green
-Fastball
-Beck
-Stevie Ray Vaughan (when I was weeeee tyke)
And that's good enough. It helps to have music festivals like SXSW or Austin City Limits, because that's a cheaper way to see a whole lot of artists than going to big, single shows.

SXSWGah, I wish I could go to SXSW. Milwaukee kinda sucks for concerts usually. Most of the bigger bands go to Madison, or just skip Wisconsin completely when they tour. I always look forward to Summerfest, though.

Pearl Jam and Matchbox20, the latter being my favorite. Rob Thomas has great stage presence, and Pete Yorn and Train were also there that night opening before Matchbox came on. So it ended up being quite a long and very satisfying night.
I've been to plenty of concerts at the Music Center in LA, featuring the LA Philharmonic, and the Hollywood Bowl, which are more fun with programs from musicals and movies in the mix.

What did BNL play?Music. :p
The only reason I went to that concert was 'cause of Alanis, though I did grow a small liking to BNL. The whole time the guys were on stage my sister and I were talking about various things and/or making fun of them... Teenage girls are so cruel. :anime: (but seriously, who knew Barenaked Ladies had both Kevin Bacon and Drew Carey!? =P I kid, kid.)

I've only seen Shania Twain.
Good show, high energy, but I learned that it doesn't matter where you sit...you can't really join in on the fun. Concerts, no matter how rowdy, are still just parties you can only stand close to and watch, but never fully partake in.

The energy of the crowd alone is wow, and live music rocks my socks. Especially if there's no seating, though I am short and it can be a pain, it's more fun 'cause you can bust loose a bit more. And I almost always come home from a concert with a weak voice.

The only one I've been to was Summer Sanitarium back in 2000 with Metallica, Korn, Kid "Bathroom Break" Rock, Powerman 5000, and System of a Down. Metallica and PM5K were awesome. Korn was pretty good, and I didn't give a damn about SOAD at the time, plus it was a July afternoon in Phoenix. Not a good environment for people opeining for 'Tallica.

My brother went to go see them when they came here in September (?). Godsmack opened up for them. I WAS SO JEALOUS!!
The tickets were $80-$100.

My most recent show was Elvis Costello at the House Of Blues earlier this month. Incredible show with a fairly long set (although the band seemed to burn right through the songs most of the time).
Some other shows that warrant a mention include the first concert I ever went to; Marilyn Manson and Monster Magnet (Hole pulled out of that tour prior to the show) with my Dad, my homeroom teacher (8th grade at the time) and some of her kids in March of 98. Since Ms. Love's departure left a void in the line-up, a replacement opening act was found. If you care to know more about said opening act, or wish to hear how my father's very life was threatened by the members of this act, PM or AIM me, and I'll gladly tell (cos this story contains quite a bit of crude, family-unfriendly language). :ack:
During the summer of that following year, the next show that I went to was originally supposed to include Limp Bizkit, with Ridrock and Staind. Luck would strike me yet again as Fred Durst pulled out of the show (on the very day of that show) and took Staind with him. Needless to say, the local rock station DJs had a field day tearing ol' Freddie a new one with a hilarious parody of "Nookie". Anywho, two other acts were brought in to open for Kidrock, who actually put on a pretty good show, considering how screwy things got in the 24 hours leading up to the event.
Next was Red Hot Chili Peppers and Foo Fighters sometime in 2000. Nobody pulled out of this one, and thoings went fairly well, although I was in the nosebleed section and had to squint a lot (forgot my glasses at home >_<).
Then December of 2003 rolls around and who else but W. Axl Rose himself decides to emerge from his spiderhole of solitude, go on tour with some guy named "Buckethead", and call it Guns N' Roses. This was supposed to be the big one. This is what memorizing the words to every song was supposed to be for. This was my chance to let loose and finally unleash the rock n' roll animal inside of me. This was going to be the greatest thing to ever happen to me.....ever. Hell, I was even willing to spread the some of the joy I had by asking a number of female classmates to go to this show with me (and considering how socially gauche I normally am, even that little bit seemed like a miracle at the time). Well......there were a few tactical errors I made. The most important error was forgetting that the chances of Axl even arriving to a show was 50/50 at best. And after no-shows (that turned into riots) in LA and Philly, the plug was pulled on the tour (two days before the show I was supposed to go to) and I got was is commonly refered to in these parts as "the shaft". :crying:
But EC come along and made everything better. :anime:
And there you have it. Pedro's sexy concert history.

Oh man, I've been to tons of concerts. Off the top of my head:
-Megadeth, with Corrosion of Conformity opening ('95, my first concert ever)
-White Zombie, openers Wickerman and Filter ('95)
-Ozzy Osbourne, openers Type O Negative & Sepultura ('96? Ozzmosis tour)
-Iron Maiden, with Fear Factory opening (X-Factor tour)
-Pantera, with openers Coal Chamber/Machine Head/Pumpjack (I think in '97)
-Megdeth (again), with openers Coal Chamber & Life of Agony (Cryptic Writing tour)
-Dream Theater (Falling Into Infinity tour)
-Fear Factory (again) with Spineshank (1999? Osbolete tour)
-Ozzfest '99: Slipknot, Static X, (hed)pe, Fear Factory, Drain STH, System Of A Down, Godsmack, Primus, Deftones, Slayer, Rob Zombie, Black Sabbath
-KISS farewell tour (lol)
-Anthrax/Megadeth/Motley Crue (took my 15 year old sister to this one)
-Fear Factory (3rd time) with openers Dry Kill Logic & American Head Charge
I know there's alot more, but I've got a bad memory now. Loudest show was by far the first Megadeth show (I was deaf for almost 2 weeks), but Ozzfest was the most fun. I used to have a female friend that would use her "feminine charms" to get us backstage all the time, but now I gotta go to shows like a normal person and it's less fun. Lame.

Less Than Jake/Anti-Flag/New Found Glory '01 (I was only there for Less Than Jake. At that point, I had never even heard of the other two.)
Less Than Jake/Whippersnapper/Guttermouth '02 (Once again, only there for LTJ. They used to be my favorite band in the world.)
Warped Tour '03 (Saw Thrice, Tsunami Bomb, The Ataris, Face to Face, Suicide Machines, Rancid, and Less Than Jake. This time, I wasn't there just for Less Than Jake!)
Warped Tour '04 (Saw Thursday, Alkaline Trio, Bad Religion, The Bouncing Souls, The Vandals, Autopilot Off, Coheed and Cambria, and the Matches. This was pretty awesome.)
Voodoofest '04 (Saw The Killers, Sonic Youth, The Pixies, Green Day, and a bit of the Beastie Boys. The Pixies were soooooooo amazing. Sonic Youth was fun. Green Day was very disappointing. The Killers and Beastie Boys were both pretty good.)
Against Me!/Smoke Or Fire/A Hunger Artist '05 (This was exactly one week ago and it was quite possibly the best concert I've seen. Against Me! was amazing, Smoke Or Fire was really good, and A Hunger Artist was...just ok but you can't win 'em all.)
I'm HOPING to see The Mars Volta next month and the Decemberists in May but there's a good chance this won't happen. Blech.
And I've been to a couple of local shows but none are really all that worth mentioning.

Yeah, Macca's the best I've seen too. Where'd you see him at? And how was the Pearl Jam show? Never seen them live though I'd love to.I'm having trouble remembering now. It was in Chicago. The United Center maybe? Or it could have been at whatever the Rosemont Horizon is called now.

Hoping that Live 105 has a summer festival which they will, but I hope they have something I'll enjoy. I'm shooting for Green Day possibly. Too bad I won't get to see Coachella. It was dissapointing to miss out on it last year and it'll be dissapointing to miss out on it this year.
Depeche Mode and Radiohead have new albums so I'll probably check out their tours. Coldplay maybe too.. I'd see U2 but it's so freaking expensive and always sold out.
