This has been driving me absolutly insane because everywhere else on the internet has yet to tell me who said

" I'm ready for my close-up Mr. DeMille "

if anyone can just tell me who said it and where. it'd be greatly apprecitated

(this is such a stupid question lol)

thanks again

From http://www.pestbouncer.com/k040305.html:

Odds are that nobody remembers actress Norma Desmond, nor the classic 1950's movie named "Sunset Boulevard", but that's the origin of this familiar line: "I'm ready for my close-up now, Mr. DeMille" (http://www.pestbouncer.com/k040305.html).
From the IMDB quotes webpage (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0043014/quotes):

Norma Desmond (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0841797/): [to newsreel camera] And I promise you I'll never desert you again because after 'Salome' we'll make another picture and another picture. You see, this is my life! It always will be! Nothing else! Just us, the cameras, and those wonderful people out there in the dark!... All right, Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my close-up. Gloria Swanson played Norma Desmond.

Odds are that nobody remembers it? Isn't SUNSET BOULEVARD pretty much considered a classic film?

In any event, I saw it in one of my film classes years ago and didn't like it. William Holden gave a good performance, though.
