From various sources, including Rangerboard, and www.lalaine.net (http://www.lalaine.net):

The actress who played Miranda in Disney Channel's legendary series Lizzie Mcguire is currently filming a spinoff series called Stevie Sanchez. The series stars Lalaine, and the title character is played by her sister Stevie. (Wow... they've got some creative parents to have those names. :p)

Power Rangers fans will be interested to know that PR Alum Blake Foster (Justin in the Turbo season) is also involved.

This sounds cool to me. Your thoughts?

Hm... not TOO surprising, given how Disney is integrating Power Rangers into it's fold now...

- Executive Producer of Power Rangers SPD worked on The Famous Jett Jackson.
- Power Rangers can now be seen at Disney-MGM in parades.
- Super Sentai is now slightly being filmed alongside Power Rangers.
- ... and now, the worst Ranger ever (not that Blake Foster is bad, he's actually been pretty cool to PR) goes to a Lizzie spinoff.

I remember hearing of the spin-off before, and it still leaves me wondering: WHY Miranda's sister? Why not Miranda herself?

Although I will admit, I have to give Disney props for basing a show off a girl named Stevie. And the use of PR people of course :D

So the show will feature Lalaine returning as Miranda, but the star will be Lalaine's real-life sister playing a friend of Miranda? Well, that's . . . weird. Like shoujoaifan said, why not just let the show be about Miranda? But, this is Disney after all, so I guess that's just too much common sense.

Oh man, I couldn't stand Blake during his ranger days.. He just seemed so out of place. Maybe centering the show around the younger sibling would give less reason for cameos from the Lizzie show to happen.

I feel sad for her, first she has to live in Hillary Duff's shadow and when she finally gets her own show she ends up playing second fiddle to her sister. Sad, but yet hilarious.

Wonder if they're making this spinoff to attempt to make the best of Hillary's withdrawal... they did say they were planning a new Lizzie series and another movie, so I'm thinking that maybe they're doing this just to go with the plans.

Will Blake actually be on the show, or will he be working behind the scenes? The last role he had was Peter Brady in 'The Brady Bunch in the White House' a few years ago, and he looked kind of out of shape in that movie.
