I miss it so much. If it doesn't return. Please don't yell the bad news out to me. I loved the show too much. It will be hard to hear it go... :crying:

The show had a good run. It's contract lasted longer than Rurouni Kenshin's. I'm gonna give a good guess and say that the show's contract will end the day it premiered 2005.

And, I don't think it has a chance of airing on Tickle U. But, then again...

I suspected as much. Hamtaro's #1 fan not having all of the DVDs? Unacceptable.

I think Hamtaro had only a two year contract really. Since it aired staring June 3rd 2002 and stopped playing around there in 2004 (the Halloween special dosen't count because that's treated differently I believe). I also hope Hamtaro comes back on the Tickle-U block though. It's the perfect little kids show and it's a lot better then Baby Looney tunes, even if not ratings wise (then again, ratings seems to be all that CN cares about now really).

YES!!! I love Hamtaro, and with that there, alongisde Krypto (which at least looks good) and maybe one Baby Looney Tunes would be a good lineup! Then, as everyone should know, my favorite show, Pecola! Now that would be a great lineup for Tickle U! Actually, I wouldn't care where Hamtaro or Pecola would air, as long as they DO air. But, that's a long stride for now, and probably forever here in the US.

Pecola rocked! You are right. Krypto the Superdog, Hamtaro, Baby Looney Tunes and Pecola would be a wicked good lineup!

Yeah, as long as they do air. That's all that I care about. ;)

I saw this on the front page of Toonzone. Either I mis-read it or somethib but I believe Hamtaro is coming back, take a look:

Hamtaro To Get Home Movies Soundtrack

In an attempt to cross-pollinate its Adult Swim and morning kiddie fare, Cartoon Network will recycle soundtracks of Home Movies by marrying them to reruns of Hamtaro. The first revamped episode will have the anime hamsters dropping money into a "f****** swear jar" every time they use inappropriate language or engage in acts so revoltingly cute that they cause viewers to utter profanities.

I found this at:

http://follies.toonzone.net/ (http://follies.toonzone.net/). I hope this news makes sense or I am not just making a big deal of this for nothing.

If it had been in a block featuring, say, "Alvin and the Chipmunks", "Smurfs" or even "Sailor Moon", its appeal would have helped neighboring shows and visa versa. It would be a real tragedy if CN were to drop "Hamtaro" just as it finally has a suitable home for it.

Somewhere between the Eddy suspected the Buttercup pregnancy and "United Way Fund Drive To Buy Pants for Brainiac, Donald Duck; Aquaman To Get New Shirt" you should have known it was fake.

On topic, Hamtaro was alright, but as a college guy, I can't admit to having liked it without having to shoot myself afterwards.

Anything's better than Baby Looney Tunes xD
This hamster thing was on Jetix ages ago but I never watched it, so I wouldn't know what it was like. Looked too cute even for me.

You ought to try it if it ever shows up on your local CN. Sure they're cute, but the characters are all pretty likeable. And unlike "Baby Looney Tunes", the sentiment actually fits the characters. (If CN wanted young Looney Tunes done right, it should have picked up "Tiny Toons". Like remakes such as "Down in Tazmania", "Sylvester and Tweety's Mysteries" and "Duck Dodgers", at least it tries to remain true to the irreverance of the originals.)

I was really looking forward to seeing more of it this year, I figured CN was just taking their time with it like they do with all their shows. It would be a good fit for the Ticke U block, the less Baby Looney Toons the better.

I know their still releasing Hamtaro videogames for the GBA, so who knows maybe CN might still get the rest of the series and the movies.:anime:

Absolutely. If they don't want to air the series anymore, then give it to somebody who will.

One question:

Was anything changed from Hamtaro? Yes, I know it's a kids show, but I'm asking anyways

You mean in the second season (on CN that is) or in Japan? If it's the latter, I have no idea, but if it's the former, they did marry off Laura's teacher, they added a rather rough soccer star who neither Laura or the Hams Hams could stand (though it turned out he wasn't such a bad guy after all) and a star child star and her Ham Ham (this pair geninunely should be posted with warning signs, though Laura and the Hams Hams seem oblivious to that), and a new Ham Ham named Stucky joins the gang.

Absolutely. If they don't want to air the series anymore, then give it to somebody who will. You make it sound easy.

A channel has the rights. They can't just give it away. They stop airing the show, and the right runs out.

Then, the distributor may try to market to another channel, but might not hook any fish. It's not just, "Hey, Viacom, want to air this series?"

It's not just, "Hey, Viacom, want to air this series?"Well, if they marketed it to 4KidsTV, I doubt CN would stand in the way, given the prominence of 4Kids shows in CN's schedule. And "Hamtaro" would be an ideal mate for "Do Re Mi"--provided 4Kids doesn't screw up the show beyond repair, that is.

That would work. I remember they did a good job with Tama & Friends a few yeras ago.

I'm afraid not. Although I am a Hamtaro fan and would like for this series to return.

This was a great show. Knowing Cartoon Network, I don't foresee this great show returning--if ever. Pretty sad.:(

I suppose they did at that, though "Tama & Friends" was a lesser show than "Hamtaro" by far. Not horribly bad, just nothing special.
