Looks like the box art hasn't been finalised yet. All they show is a group shot of the gang in virtual form. Not that that's a problem.:D

It's coming on the 21st June, according to Joshua Lane, a reputable source.
I hope that Xana Unleashed comes with the first four or five episodes. I'm guessing four or five from the price. Other DVDs from FUNimation with three episodes (non-anime) are usually 10 or 11 bucks.

CODE LYOKO VOLUME 1: XANA UNLEASHED DVD EDITED
Edited? No uncuts???

Yeah, that can be confusing.
It seems that on the Internet, all FUNimation DVDs that aren't anime DVDs (otherwise, Canadian/French) are classed as edited, even if they are not, which is always.
But, you can look forward to something spectacular!

no with box version? I don't know to get this or not since CN will rerun it a million times but maybe the extras will be worth it?

I mean take a page from aqua teen hunger force, they offer so much crap on their dvds...its somewhat the standard on dvd release to have some goodies that the user can see...

But, it would be nice to see the voice actors at work.

I figured as little was going to be released. Its a shame though, but its just hypothesis, maybe just maybe, it might surprise me (not likely but hey miracles can happen).

Too late, it already has been aired to death...am I the only forgetting about what happened in the summer/fall? overkill by 1,000

I hope it will have the full season.

Edited, eh? I've noticed a few bits cut here and there, but I haven't seen the English episodes in a while so I can't confirm.

I hope it will have the full season. Not for $15, it won't.

So, not edited. Atleast given the usual trend.

Are we sure they're not what we saw on TV, though? Or if they include a French track?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it'll be the same thing. But, I do have a problem with one episode where Aelita isn't audible that needs to be addressed.

Everything Funimation does that doesn't have a Japanese langauge track gets labeled edited. Now, given the licencing involved, I'd figure French langauge would be part of the deal, if only because it means it's fully marketable through out the US and Canada (Quebec counts, as they are one of the largest single markets in Canada.) Funimation is buying this direct from the source, not sublicensing from who ever has the domestic broadcast rights as such my bets are that it's gonna be about as uncut as the original content holders will allow.

Interesting.. though I wouldn't mind them taking out the eye-catches like they did on TV, they're a bit distracting.

They wouldn't be too bad if they weren't misplaced. But, anticipation ensues.

So then, nobody knows if it will include the original French language track on it? It would be a shame if it wasn't included.

Well, Nelvana shows had(ve) French tracks, but are not included on the DVDs, so I'd have to say no.

I like the English voices better, personally. Although Aelita sounds pretty hot in French. Odd sounds like a little girl, though  Yumi and Ulrich sound about the same, and Jeremy sounds a bit like his first English voice

Well, I've never seen the French version, which is why I would like it to be on the DVD. And I can't stand Jeremy's voice in the English version. He sounds like Jimmy from South Park.

Jeremie's voice definitely improved over the course of the season.
I have a feeling that I won't be buying this, only for the fact that it's not the entire first season. I don't like buying small collections of something I'd rather have all of. Which is why I don't have any Looney Tunes yet.:crying:
