This has been in the back of my mind for some time, but I was just wondering if series creator Craig McCracken and/or any of the writing staff grew up/live in Upstate New York, especially the Albany area. I ask this because IIRC in the episode "Berry Scary", Mr. Harriman mentioned that the dietician who created the dinner the friends are having was from Schenectady, and in that recent episode about those duplicates of Bloo, Mac gave the address for Foster's at Wilson Drive. There happens to be a Wilson Drive in Glenmont, a suburb of Schenectady.

Of course if this is the case it wouldn't be the first time anyone with Cartoon Network had ties to Upstate New York. Joe Alasky--the voice of Duck Dodgers--is from Watervillet, which is just north of Albany. :)

About McCracken, from what I've read, he's originally from Pennsylvania. He moved to California at 7 years of age. As for the rest, I don't know.

Actually, the ep with the reference to Schenectady is "World Wide Wabbit". I just saw it last week, so I should know.

Oops, muy bad. I don't know why I thought it was "Berry Scary". My memory's just getting rusty in my old age. :ack:

I've wondered where Foster's is supposed to be myself. It very well could be Schenectady for we know Foster's is located in a city and the house itself is pretty old. According to city-data.com, the average house age in Schenectady is "significantly above" the state of New York's average. Also in addition to the "Wilson Drive" DocForbin mentioned, there also seems to be a "Wilson Ave" in Schenectady itself.

So yes, I agree that Foster's could be based on the City of Schenectady.
