It's all falling apart.
Wednesday, bad things happened to cookware
Thursday, my Laptop's hard drive shredded itself.
Friday, a 5-year-old repaired ding in my car's windshield spontaniously cracked 8 inches across.
Saturday, the Battery in my watch Died.
It's all coming apart!... THE CENTER DOES NOT HOLD!!!
Hey wait, what's that sound... but that's impossible! it's a!....

I feal that way often. Just this week, my dishwasher quit working, and my heater went out. Sometimes you just have weeks were everything breaks down.

Right, zman, don't take this personally... but stand very still. Yes, right there. Now don't move. :draws 30 foot perimeter around the marked one:
I'm sorry, I don't mean to laugh at your misfortune, and in fact, I'm not. You have my sympathies. I just find this sort of thing humerous.
And all I can envision is that Python sketch where Eric Idle enters some estate house, and everyone dies and the house falls apart around him.

Once my refridgerator died, then my car, then my watch, then my computer, and then my shoes fell apart. I was left stranded in the house hungry with no way to tell how long I'd been there.

No, its just that your warrenties on all of your stuff expired a few days ago and they decide to stop working. Stuff that you can learn from reading all the Garfield comic strips.:p
Ok, ok I'm sorry that all your stuff broke down.:( It happen to my once. Plus it took a long to fix my computer. It had alot of viruses and stuff plus the sound doesn't work anymore so no more music on my computer.

I know you're partly joking, FOS, but there is some truth to what you say.
I had a beloved Toshiba vcr for ages, and then one day, it died. Totally. Completely. Kaputt.
I couldn't find any current/new models in the stores that I liked, so I went on ebay to find a used (but working) toshi model like the one I had. All of the ones listed had 'recently stopped working' also.
