Today something shocking happened to me.
I have become addicted to moldy old soap opera theme songs.
Is there anyway to cure this or will I have to go hunt down some cd with the first "connected circles" Another World op on it?

Well there are a few things you can do, however I suggest fighting music with other music
1) Listen to FF8's "Eyes on Me" that'll get the songs out
2) Listen to Shii's song on ABS http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/shii.php
3) Sakura Wars OT is certainly a song that will get lodged into your head and have you shouting "GO CHERRY BLOSSOM BRIGADE!!!" randomly
4) Earth Maiden Arjuna OST certainly is chock load of awsome songs, so listen to that instead(if you can)
*) If all else fails seek aid of a wise old man on Mt. Hildago

There's a light in the distance. You can see it coming closer. With the force of ages, centuries gone by... they're the protectors of the right, the defenders sworn to fight. Heroes on your side, heroes for all time, out to save the universe. Doesn't matter where you are, if it's near or far, you can always call.
... go grab some WELL DONE TV themes.

in my experience, I have found that "Ride on Shooting Star" to be the perfect cure for song-stuck-in-head.

Well, that's pretty weird stuff right there. I'd suggest drowning your brain in some of the catchiest pulse pounding music you can get your hands on until that is stuck in your dome. Of course you will end up in an infinte loop of music purging as you tire of each new replacement. But at least you won't be watching soap operas anymore. :)
Oh and...
