Ugh...
I just bought the first Volume and I have to say I'm kinda pissed off.

They didn't include the Pilot edition of Rabbot. They kinda did, but I mean the ORIGINAL pilot that was shown at like 3 am or something.

I have it as a DivX file on my computer but I'd like to see it on DVD really.

Are the Second and Third season DVD's worth buying given this disappointment?

yes, actually - the next two seasons are far better in terms of extras quality, and contain some of the best episodes in the series. So you'd really do well in picking those up.

Yeah it'll be a while till I grab them.

I'm just kinda miffed they didn't include the pilot as it originally showed and was slightly funnier than the one that aired on adult swim.

Thanks for the help

How many versions of Rabbot do you need? You've got the final cut of the pilot and the rough cut.

There were 3 versions.

The Rough Cut (Animation problems and all)
The Pilot (The Roughcut missing several scenes but lip sync is correct and animation problems are fixed as well as Superfriends bumpers)
Final Cut

Still woulda been nice to have it included on it.

It's the worst episode of Season 1, so who really cares?

So, what are the differences between the rough cut and the final version?

My thoughts exactly. Shake was too annoying for even himself and Frylock was trying too hard to be Lt. Worf! Meatwad...meh.

This episode is forgiveable though...it is the PILOT episode afterall...so don't expect any major breakthroughs.

Speaking of which.... I'm sure the same thing will hold true for the upcoming Harvey Birdman DVD- the version of "Bannon Custody Case" they'll put on the DVD will probably be the Adult Swim airing, NOT the stealth airing.

I never saw the stealth airing, though. All I heard that was different were minor musical cues and a few pieces of animation. Sounds like it's sorta the same with "Rabbot".
