Make money, don't spend it.

Ah,the resolutions of a broke woman.

The main thing I'd like to do this year is start taking better care of myself. Mostly by cutting back on my soda intake - during really stressful times I've been known to chug back 3-4 Mountain Dews a day, and I'm pretty sure that's not healthy. :ack: I'd also like to get involved in some kind of self-defense class, for some moderate physical activity. I'm not overweight or anything like that, but I am out of shape nonetheless. I can run out of breath just going up a flight of stairs. =\

Also, my room seriously needs de-junking. Been putting it off for so long, it looks like Pack Rat Paradise. :p

New Years resolutions are stupid, no one does them, and I'm not making any. I mean, If you really wanted to do these things, you wouldn't need New Years as the excuse to start doing them.

They may be stupid, but they're a fun old tradition. It's a way to reflect on the year's past events while looking forward to the next. Chill out, don't be such a party pooper.

Now moving on.... my main has to be STOP PROCRASTINATING! Sigh....it's such a hard habit to break, but I'm going to try.

[edit] I need to start excercising more. I mean I do excercise, but I don't think it's good enough.

My New Year's resolution is to break every last one that I may make.

I've decided to completely cut out polka dots from my wardrobe.

Okay I'm just kidding.....I could never do that :D

Actually, mine is to get my butt back to the gym and ditch the spare tire that seems to have appeared over the past year.

1. Stop procrastinating. That's a big one.
2. Eat healthier/stop drinking so much soda.
3. Practice my guitar more!

I'm sure there's more, but these are the ones I'll be doing. Not too hard to live up to. :D

1. Lose weight! I'm going to Weight Watchers with my mom, it's time to actually stick with the plan for good now and be thinner by season.
2. Start running. Pitchers do a lot of running for conditioning, and I don't want to be dead before season.
3. Stop procrastinating! My biggest problems in school come from this.
4. Call my friends in Atlanta more often. They're my best friends in the world and I don't talk to them much:ack:

2. Get Girlfreind
3. Change the world

Not too many, but they're important...

1 - Wear more brightly colored clothing. Blacks and greys get so dull, don't ya think?

2 - Decide for myself. Asking everyone else what you should do everyday gives them the power to decide your life. It's my life.

3 - Do those things that I always wanted to do when I was a kid. Those dreams we have? Today's the day to start living them.

4 - Trying is success enough for me. There's nothing to lose by going for something you don't think will ever work or happen. All you can do by waking up is GAIN.

5 - Stop thinking two steps ahead. I keep thinking about something that I'm not doing rather than enjoying what I am.

6 - Spend less. I've got all I need.

Sound good? No fears people. Life's for LIVING.

Very long list...

Stop procrastinating
Eat healthier (pretty good at it...not great)
Exercize (I'm pretty thin but I'm out of shape)
Take some form of dance
Take an acting course
Get straight A's
And by the end of the year I want to be able to ride my horse without a bridle or a saddle. That should keep me busy! :D

I think it's time I learned how to drive. By that, I mean passing my test.

For Toon Zone, well I'd like to get more work done on my site.

I'd also like to stop posting when I'm drunk. Nothing good ever comes of it. :p

Hmm. I like most of my bad habits, though!

Seriously, I really need to cut down on the stress. I'm getting it in a such a way due to college and stuff I've managed to tie my intestines in a literal knot. This of course means better planning, less procrastination, and better care of my overall self. The money-making would also be a good idea, since I plan on continental hopping over the summer. The immediate resolution is to get myself out of this deep blue funk of mine.

1. join my YMCA and begin getting back into shape (god my days of collegiate athletics seem SO long ago). prolly time for a dietary adjustment as well did this today, so its no longer a new years resolution. instead it'l be

1. Get back into playing shape :)

2. rejoin my local muncy golf course. my family (in a wide sense, encompasing a LOT of my mom's dads side of the family) were members for years. while most are dead or dont play anymore, i cant believe my dad let our membership lapse a few years back. they're offering a deal to get old members to return, so i think i'll take advantage of it.

3. work on getting an NBA franchise into St. Louis (i wish the Miami Heat would move here!)

1. Think up a New Year's Resolution for next year's New Year's..

- Start smoking
- Stop fighting
- Control Beethoven
- Finish schoolwork before the last minute, ala no procrastination.
- Disband the Untouchables
- Stop smoking
- Wait till the PSP gets it's price lowered a bit
- Sell all of my Shonen Jump when subscription ends
- Feel good

Wonder how it'll feel in 2006 when I look back and remember(or not) how I failed the previous year, so as to keep it in mind for that year itself. But then forget about it and just go on regularly without making promises.

But Spidey, that adds panache! :D

As for myself...

1. I'm a pretty good weight already, but I'm hoping to do more lifting and increase my muscle definition.
2. Lift my GPA up by half a point, from a 3.0 to a 3.5.
3. Rock-climb more.
4. Cycle more.
5. Learn archery and fencing, two skills I've wanted to pick up but been putting off for a while.
6. Complete filming on a planned mockumentary with friends.
7. Read more.
8. Actually finish my comic on 24 Hour Comics Day this year, instead of falling asleep while inking.
9. Eat healthier, darnit!
10. Master the harmonica, move on to a new instrument.
11. Start updating the LiveJournal (http://www.livejournal.com/users/freemarketmarx/) regularly, and with quality content this time.
12. Sweep someone off their feet. How I'm gonna pull that off, I don't know, but I've got 365 days to figure it out.
13. Take a road trip.
14. Learn the ins and outs of photography, courtesy of a friend who's a photojournalism major.
15. Be a better person in general... nicer, kinder, more patient, less cynical, more idealistic.
16. Volunteer more.
17. Find a job, save some $$$
18. Relax
19. Post pictures on the Photo Thread.
20. Be just ambitious enough.

New Years resolutions are stupid, no one does them, and I'm not making any. I mean, If you really wanted to do these things, you wouldn't need New Years as the excuse to start doing them.
Of course you don't need it, and in all logic the practice doesn't make much sense, but the New Year has that "fresh start" feeling to it, so it's a good and logical place to take on the challenge. Besides, for long-term goals, a year is a nice block of time to set yourself to.

I don't know about anyone else, but my experience with keeping New Year's Resolutions is actually pretty decent. I had ten last year, and I wound up doing eight of them. Not too shabby.

My resolution is the same as it always it: Get buff enough to co-star in a B action movie.

My "Don't eat crap" consumption shift seems to be working, and not dropping a buck fiddy a day on vending machine snackies seems to be adding some pocket change to buy books while taking a few inches off my waistline. Since I started my bold "Don't eat crap" vending machine boycott at work back in early October, I've dropped from a 38 to a 36 waist and lost a solid 10 pounds. You can actually see my abs again, which is nice.

I also resolve to get more sun this summer. Last summer blew because I had to work so much flippin' overtime that I didn't really get outside. This summer I shall, as they say, work smarter not harder. :p

One New Year's resolution I have is to be more outgoing with others. All my life I have had trouble making and keeping friends and although I have improved greatly over the years, I feel I can still do better.
