Still waiting for an answer.

Ok this is my second fic my other one is still in the works but i couldnt ignore this idea. And alot of these scenes in my mind (christmas ones) are now on paper and were previously in my locker but the teacher made me clean it out:( and now there at home! Well here it is! Hope you all like it!

Chapter 1- All hope is not lost…

"We're not gonna be just apart of their game. We're not gonna be just the victims. They're taking our dreams and they tear them apart. Til everyone's the same" Simple Plan. Me Against the World.

The room was completely silent. Three people stood there, staring into the shadows. There was one window and by its light you could see that the three people were Jynx, Gizmo, and Mammoth former members of HIVE. They still carried that name even though the academy had been taken down long ago by (the thought by them) notorious Teen Titans. To them HIVE was there home and ever since it had been destroyed they vowed to get revenge. Over the past few days someone had appeared in their midst that had given them great hope.

“Finally we can finish of those annoying Teen Titans.” Gizmo said enthusiastically.

“Yes. Definitely.” Mammoth replied as he pounded his fist into an open palm.

“Especially now that we have a new secret weapon that is sure to cream the Teen Titans.” A devilish grin spread across Jynx’s face.

“And that secret weapon…” A figure stepped out of the shadows. “Is me.”

Very cool. I just have one little nitpick: Her name is Jinx, not Jynx. Anyway, I can't wait for the next chapter. Post more, please!

Chapter 2- Got Hunger?

""We've been blowing up were the issue its a condition. We are the fuse in the ammunition." Ammunition. Switchfoot.

4 days earlier….

“Aww man! When will we learn that WE-NEED-GROCERIES!”

Cyborg slammed the empty fridge door shut. Beast Boy was rummaging through all the cupboards looking for just a morsel of food.

“Don’t give up hope Cy! I have found…” Beast Boy’s face brightened with excitement then faded to disappointment “instant rice?”

Beast Boy shook the box and heard a rattle, he flipped it upside down and one single grain of rice fell out.

“It’s mine!” Cyborg yelled diving for the rice.

“I found it first!” Beast Boy turned into a squirrel, grabbed the rice, and climbed to the highest cupboard.

“They way you two are fighting is like it’s the last piece of pizza.” Raven and Starfire both entered the main living room. Raven went directly to her pre-prepared cup of tea and Starfire headed for the fridge.

“I already checked Star. There’s no food.” Cyborg started to jump at the green squirrel.

“We have absolutely no food?” Starfire questioned. After eating the one piece of rice the squirrel jumped onto the floor and changed back into Beast Boy.

Cyborg let out a sigh. “Absolutely no food.”

“Speaking of pizza!” Beast Boy referred to Raven’s last comment. “Why don’t we go grab one since were out of food?”

“Yes that sounds most glorious!” Starfire chirped in. “I shall go retrieve Robin!” She left the room.

“Boo ya!” Cyborg rubbed his hands together evilly. “I wonder if the pizza place will let me quadruple the meat!” He dreamt of a large pizza with all the works, and licked his lips.

“Dude. You know how I feel about that!”

“Here goes round number 2.” Raven said sarcastically all the while rolling her eyes.

Robin was in his room. The dark and mysterious room that held all his gadgets, and his newspaper clippings that were all hung on his walls. Each one had a different caption “HIVE infiltrate the Titans tower”, “Mumbo caught once again” and “Teen Titans: Are they really gone?” But the one Robin was studying was the one that brought back the most memories. He was leaning up against the wall, clipping in hand and staring at it intently. He read it in his mind.

Is Slade really dead?

He remembered Terra how she had joined the Titans, how she had betrayed them, and how she had given her life to save them and the city.

Is Slade really dead?

He painfully relived the experience as Slade’s apprentice, following his commands, facing his friends, and having the fear of being able to lose them at the push of a button.

Is Slade really dead?

He thought back to being Red X. He stole chips to catch Slade, he lied to his friends, and in the end it got him nowhere.

Is Slade really dead?

Thunder and Lightning. Two teenage boys with great powers but Slade used them to create a monster that in the end Thunder and lightning had to destroy themselves.

…..

Then he remembered before the Teen Titans had formed a team. Slade was alive right? He thought. He could have been in Gotham. Robin remembered when he and..

“Robin?”

Robin jumped at the sound of Starfire’s voice. He usually didn’t get scared easy but at that moment he was deep in thought. He turned around to face Starfire.

“Yeah Star?”

“We are going to the parlor of pizza. Do you wish to join us?”

“Ok.” Robin’s stomach growled and he smiled. “I was getting hungry anyways.”

He placed the article on his desk.

“Most wonderful!” Starfire yelled gleefully. She then took his hand and led him out the door.

The titans stepped out of the T-car to see the sun setting over the horizon. It had long since pass the end of fall, the trees were bare and it had become extremely cold. Jump City seemed deserted, everyone had retreated to the warmth of their homes. Well everyone except the Teen Titans. They started to sit down at their table when Starfire let out a small yelp and sent a mini starbolt soaring at an unseen object.

“Starfire whats wrong?” Robin said alarmed.

“I just saw some flying objecting floating through the sky!”

“Dude. I think Star is going crazy…” But then a white fluffy thing placed itself on Beast Boys nose. “Hey! Its snowing!”

As if on Beast Boys command a uncountable amount of snowflakes started to float all over Jump City.

“What is this snow?” Starfire inquired.

“Well…uhh.” Robin tried to think of the easiest way to describe the simple matter of snow. He turned his head to see something that he had saw a minute ago and now could hear. A siren ran out throughout the street from a local bank, then the petty thieves ran out with a sack of money slung on one of their backs.

“TITANS GO!”

The titans traveled to the middle of the street to face the bank robbers.

“Do they ever give up?” Beast Boy asked.

“Who? The bank robbers or HIVE?” Cyborg pointed to the oncoming Jinx, Mammoth and Gizmo. Hive stopped a couple feet ahead of the Teen Titans with the bank robbers standing helplessly in the middle.

I was wondering when this was to be posted, I'm really glad to see it up.

I must agree, Jynx is way cooler than Jinx. Personally, if that's the way you want to type it, than nobody should really complain.

In the second chapter, I loved the 'Is Slade Really Dead?' Between every paragraph. That was a nice touch. I loved that a lot.

Instant rice made me laugh very hard. You definitely have the Titans personalities down flat.

I can't wait for more!!!

Very, very, very cool. I, like Decka, would like to get a glimpse of Mr. (Ms.?) Mystery. Characterization is very good. Actually, scratch that, characterization is awesome. I love how you captured everybody’s personality. Also, I like that you have Jinx in your story. (She never got nearly enough screen time) Please continue writing.

Whoa. This had to be the longest chapter ive have ever posted :anime:. Thanks for the feedback.

Chapter 3- Invisible



A mechaniacal arm extended from Gizmo’s back lunging at the robber. It grabbed the cash and returned it self to Gizmo who now had a huge smile splattered on his face.

“Stealing from stealers. How honorable.” Robin pointed towards HIVE. The robbers who were now trembling ran for it as the Teen Titans charged for Hive.

“Attack Pattern C!!” Jynx yelled as she flipped into the air and sent hexes flying at Raven and Starfire.

“Azarath Metrion Zinthos.” Raven blocked one of the lavender energy blasts coming from Jinx while Starfire attempted to blast Jinx away but was a little to late in the attempt and was sent flying away from the battling titans. Mammoth turned to his side and plowed his way towards Robin like a football player. Robin used Mammoth as his spring board and leaped away from the attack. Beast Boy transformed into a cheetah and chased after Gizmo who was using four spider-like legs to escape from the battle. Cyborg wasn’t too far behind him holding his sonic cannon out. He blasted one of the legs and Gizmo started to collapse.

“Boo Ya! Perfect shot!” Gizmo pulled back the legs which folded up into his back pack. The battle continued.

In a nearby alley a figure stood watching the Titans and Hive battle it out. The figure took out a pair of sunglasses that had smooth edges. The person put them on and then started to study each of the people. The person pressed a button on the top of the glass which really was a screen. Behind those lenses the glasses zoomed in on Starfire. Starfire had placed her hands together and fired a huge starbolt at Mammoth. He was forced back quite a bit but got up.

“Hmm. A tamaranian. Powers… Alien strength. Starbolts. Laser eyes. Cool.” The voice was slightly higher then Raven’s voice and it was higher because it had emotion. The person switched her view past Robin and past Cyborg and fixed their gaze on Raven. Robin and Cyborg had decided to take on Jinx. Jinx was succeeding at blocking each of there moves and even managed to throw a few hexes at them. Raven used her telekinesis to pick up a mail box and sent it skidding across the road towards Gizmo. Letters flew everywhere on the street. A mini grenade launcher appeared on Gizmo’s right shoulder and he let off three. They each made there way towards Raven but she found no problem in stopping these. One of them destroyed the oncoming mailbox.

“Azarath, Metrion Zinthos.” She raised one hand in a police man stop sort of motion. One of them was cover in black energy and turned around so it started to chase after Gizmo the other one was stopped in mid air and fell to the road with a clash.

“Wow. Raven. Born in Azarath. Telekinesis. Teleportation. Empathy and healing abilities. Very cool.” The persons head turned to Beast Boy. He had jumped on Gizmo as a cheetah and took the money in his mouth and ran. When he got near the rest of the team he turned back to his human form.

“I got it!” He yelled in victory.

“I don’t need these to see what you can do.” The person glanced at each of the Hive members.

“Jinx, Gizmo and Mammoth.”

Mammoth started to throw punches at Starfire in random directions. They were all dodged but Mammoth managed to hit some walls and the road.

“What’s the matter girly?” He threw another punch that nearly hit Starfire’s shoulder. “Getting tired?”

Gizmo stood up and a pair of wings sprouted from his back pack, and the missile launcher moved directly in the middle of them. He flew away from Raven and towards Jinx.

“These losers are totally wiping the floor with us.” Gizmo said annoyed. Mammoth was sent airborne by one of Starfire’s eye blasts. Gizmo turned towards Raven and shot a group of missiles at her, she placed both of her palms forward and sent sheets of black energy soaring at the missiles. They collided with each other and the missiles were left laying on the floor half broken, sparks flying everywhere.

“What are we suppose to do?” Jinx did a back flip to avoid being hit by one of Robin’s birdarangs but ended up barely missing Cyborg's cannon.

“There’s only one thing you can do.” Robin started to walk towards Jinx. “Retreat.”

The titans gathered together and were about to do there final attack when Gizmo yelled.

“Mammoth! Let’s get outta here!” Mammoth stood up rubbing his head and then ran with the rest of the Hive members.

“Don’t worry you scum-guzzling wimps! We’ll be back!”

And that was Hive’s marvelous exit. The police had arrived and were cleaning up the crime scene.

“Dude this bag is packed with money!” Beast boy yelled his eyes were sparkling. “Do you think the police will let us keep some because we stopped Hive?”

A police officer walked up to Beast Boy and grabbed the bag. He gave Beast Boy a dirty look and walked away.

“We didn’t stop them.” Raven said in her monotone voice.

“Yeah. They’re still out there and we still haven’t gotten any food!” Cyborg’s stomach growled very loudly.

“Friend we must enjoy our victory! Lets us enjoy a pizza!”

“I second that thought.” Beast boy walked up beside Starfire, and Cyborg. They started to walk back to their still unoccupied table. “Dude. Are you guys coming?”

Raven glanced at the alley. The person had disappeared from sight.

“Raven. Are you ok?” Robin asked.

“Yeah. I just thought I sensed someone.” Raven shook her head. ‘It was probably nothing. Let’s go. I don’t usually admit it but I’m pretty hungry too.”

Robin ran to catch up with the rest of the Titans and Raven levitated after them.

It was a darker side of Jump City. The three Hive members entered a rundown apartment building with nothing but disappointment.

“Those losers are nothing but…losers!” Gizmo slammed the door shut which rattled on its hinges.

“Face it we lost.” Jinx slumped on the couch. From the inside the apartment looked brand new except for the exception of the walls, the wallpaper was peeling and it had a dark green mold resonating on some of the edges. Mammoth rummaged through the mini fridge, looking for none other than food. He took out a sub and started to munch on it.

“What if they follow us?” He said between mouthfuls.

“I set up security systems all over the building. Those idiots will never get through my patchwork security.” Gizmo jabbed a thumb at himself proudly.

“Well it wasn’t that hard to get through.” The same voice that was in the alley way appeared behind Gizmo. He swirled around.

“Who are you and what do you want!?”

“Are you a teen titan?” Jinx stood up and got ready to attack.

The person was a little bit taller than Jinx and it was a girl. Her hair fell just below her ears and had a flip look to it. It was black and to Jinx it looked odd because it had one sky blue streak but then again Jinx had pink hair. They couldn’t see her eyes because they were behind sunglasses. How dumb. It’s not even daytime. Gizmo thought to himself with a smirk on his face. She had a long sleeve light blue shirt and Jinx couldn’t see it but it had a hood at the back. The girl’s sleeves were tucked into faded black gloves. She had on a regular pair of dark blue jeans which were also tucked in to the most unusual pair of boots ever. They ended below her knees and looked like something Gizmo would create. There were two metal plates that covered the side of the boots, the tips of her foot and the heel. The rest had a hard black material with small electrical panels placed on them. A silver wire was connecting the heel to the shin part of the boots, and it didn’t look as if she was trying to hide the small buttons at the side at all. She put her hands in front of her body in alarm.

“Whoa. My name is Shock. I want to join Hive. And I’m definitely not a teen titan.” She smiled. “I’m sure that with my help you can beat the Teen Titans. But if you don’t want me to help I can just leave…” She started to turn around. Jinx turned towards Gizmo and bent down. She whispered in his ear.

“If she really is telling the truth then this might be our chance.”

“Fine.” He looked back at Mammoth who took no notice to this new person, shook his head in disgust and turned to Shock. “Wait. We’ll give you a chance and see what a dim wit like you can do.”

Shock shook her head, rolled her eyes and looked to Mammoth. He had gulped the rest of his sandwich down and had gotten up. He noticed the new girl.

“It’s late. I’m going to bed.”

“And I need to work on one of my inventions so we can beat those scuzz-munching dummies.”

Gizmo and Mammoth left down the small corridor.

“So that’s it? I’m in?”

Jinx smiled. “Oh were not done with you yet. You can sleep on the couch if you like unless you have your own place.”

“Ok.”

Jinx started on the same path as Mammoth and Gizmo. She turned around right before she was out of view.

“We start tomorrow.”

Shock laid on the couch. “This is going to be interesting.” Then she fell into a light sleep.

P.S. I learned how to play Avril Lavigne's Happy Ending on my guitar. Its an awesome song and its so easy to play.

PSS. I have no idea why i called this chapter "Invisible". i thought it because well Raven does see her but just thinks she imagining it and the rest of the titans dont.

about the secret weapon. This is going back to where the new character meets hive, the next few chapters will show proving herself to Hive, initiation (mwahahaha) umm and ofcourse the teen titans... and why she is the sercret weapon and just character development...its ALL COMING (i planned it)

Chapter 4-Testing 1 2 3
3 days earlier..


“So let me get this straight. You want me to get the two other chips without being caught by the teen titans?” Shock strolled into the now unguarded chip room with two finger pressed to her ear. The two guards were now lying in front of the door unconscious. She reached out for the red chip, grabbed it and tossed it carelessly into her pocket. As she was exiting the building the guards were starting to stir. The snow that had fallen had almost completely melted leaving a gloomy slush on the streets of Jump City.

“Yes.” Back at the apartment Gizmo was smirking. Jinx and Mammoth were standing on each side of him, the screen Gizmo was staring at had a red dot signifying where Shock was in Jump City. “The next chip is on the corner of this street.”

Shock saw the building up ahead from it you could clearly see the titans tower.

“I was hoping that if I was to fight the Teen titans it would be with you guys. If someone calls them. What am I suppose to do?”

“Run.” Over the earpiece Shock could here them laughing.

Or roller skate. She thought to her self. The building also had two guards except these guard had guns. The stood in front of the outside door. Shock bent down and picked up some slush forming it into a small ball. She threw it at the ground a bit away from the guards. They rushed out to see what the commotion was.

“Stupid kids.” One of them muttered. Shock started to run and then using the slush slid underneath the two guards. They moaned in anguish as they hit the ground and their guns went flying in the air. Shock stood up and kicked the guns away as they landed. She ran into the building as the guards began to search for their guns. The blue chip was in a cylinder-like glass case and had a mini computer at the bottom. She tried to hack into the computer, but the screen flashed red and yelled “Error! Error!”

“No duh.” She tried again and got the same response. “Screw it.” She placed her right hand on the face of the terminal. In a seconds time sparks flew from the mini computer and the screen went blank. The glass case shattered and the chip fell to the ground.

“That was easier.” She picked up the blue chip and tossed it with the other one. The room began to flash red. The alarm had just gone off. “Great.”

She flipped her hood up and ran out the door.

“Gizmo. Tell me where the next chip is quick!” She saw the t-car zooming down the street towards the building. She was surprised to hear Jinx’s voice.

“Turn left on this street and it’s on the corner.”

“Thanks Jinx.”

Shock stopped away from the building and knelt on one knee. She pressed one of the buttons on her boots and four wheels sprouted from the bottom. As she stood up she heard Robin’s well known phrase “Titans Go!”

She skated with skill towards the small square building. She pushed through the doors and searched of the guards. No guards… Shock saw two large panels opened and two huge robots emerged with large machine-like guns at there sides. Her glasses said they were very powerful. Ha. They’re machines.

“Intruder! Intruder!” They yelled and started to aim there guns.

“Who me? No way!” She kneeled down and placed both hands on the floor. Electricity flew towards the robots and when they reached the robots they fell apart instantly.

“That was a challenge.” She said sarcastically. She slowly skated toward the chip (avoiding any parts), pressed a button on the side and a panel swung open revealing the green chip. She grabbed it and started to skate back to her new home.

The titans were way behind this new villain. They were still studying the last crime scene when Starfire spotted the escaping villain.

“I will succeed in catching this villain!” She flew promptly after Shock. Robin was a little suspicious of this character but he was sure Starfire would catch him or her. They titans didn’t say anything either they just tried to find any clues.

Shock was confident that she wouldn’t have to deal with any of the teen titans. Until... she turned the corner and saw a traffic jam. She began to skate down the side walk when Starfire appeared flying beside her.

“Huh?” Shock turned and stared at Starfire. Starfire couldn’t see Shock’s face beneath the hood.

“Please do not run. In these times of villainy I only wish to be your friend!”

Shock held down laughter but then saw Starfire wasn’t kidding. She stopped rapidly.

“You and me? Friends?” Shock looked around and saw this was probably the only titan she would have to face. “You’ve got to be kidding me.”

“No I do not wish to kid.” Starfire knew by the voice it was a girl. “If you would not surcome to the life of crimes we would be able to be friends.”

Seeing as Starfire probably wouldn’t give up and Shock was desperate for time.

“Ok fine. Ill be your friend if you’ll return to where ever you came from.”

“And the life of crime?”

“I will not steal anything anymore…?”

“Good job my new friend!” Starfire clapped her hands gleefully together. Shock rolled her eyes under her hood.

“Now your part of the deal. Leave…please?” Shock tried not to sound too mean.

“Farewell!” Starfire knew Robin would be disappointed that she didn’t catch the “villain”. She flew off and then turned around to ask what her knew friends name was but Shock was gone.

Shock slammed the door and leaned her back against it breathing heavily.

“What happened?” Jinx asked. “We lost touch with you at the second building.”

“I must have lost the earpiece.” Shock dug into her pocket and took out the three chips and held them up. “Happy?”

Gizmo’s eyes widened. “We’ve been trying to get those chips for forever!” He rudely took them from her hand and ran to his room happily.

“Now your in.” Jinx said smiling. “I have one question though.” She handed Shock the yellow hexagonal shaped communicator with the black H printed on it.

“And that is?”

“How did you beat the robots?”

“That’s hard to explain.” She bent down and pressed the button turning her skates back into high tech boots. “My powers. I can control machines but its also electricity…”

“Cool.” Jinx simply said.

“Welcome to Hive.” Mammoth said.

“Thanks. But if you don’t mind…” Shock walked towards the couch and yawned. “I’m going to sleep. Night.” She fell on the couch and fell asleep instantly.

Chapter 5- Let it Snow

The teen titans woke up to how some people would say a winter wonderland. It seemed as if over night Jump City had been buried underneath a white sheet. The titans had just come out of the tower and were about to look around the city for the chip thief when Beast Boy hurled a snowball at Cyborg. It clunked him at the back of his head.

“Oh now it’s on!” He bent down and formed a rather large snowball turned around and sent it flying towards Beast Boy’s face.

“What is o-ouf!” Beast Boy had ducked and the snowball had hit Starfire’s right shoulder. Robin in return to seeing Starfire get hit picked up two clumps of snow one in each hand. Robin stood in front of Starfire. His eyes got narrow and an evil grin spread across his face.

“Beast Boy. Ill give you 5 seconds to run.” Beast Boy threw his arms up and began running around looking for a place to hide. “5” He looked around. “4” Beast Boy stood behind Raven. “3 2 1!” Robin threw the snowballs knowing what Raven would do. She levitated above Beast Boy and the two snowballs crashed into his face. His eyes stood out beneath the snow.

“RAVEN! What the?” Everyone, even Raven stood around Beast Boy towering over him. Oh and did I forget to mention each had a snowball in one of their hands.

“Its payback time!” In unison everyone threw a snowball at Beast Boy. Leaving him covered in snow head to foot. His two glaring eyes stood out amongst the snow. After that they all started to have fun in the snow, forgetting that they were ever superheroes. Robin tried to explain to Starfire the point of snow angels.

“But I do not understand Robin. What is the point of making an angel in the snow? Does it not melt? Do people not step on it? Does it fly?”

“Uhh. Starfire I think it’s just for fun. And when you do it, it looks pretty.” Beast Boy had recovered, and was now lying in the snow in front of Starfire demonstrating how to make a snow angel.

“Like this Starfire!” Beast Boy raised his arms and legs up and down in unison making the snow part. He stood up and marveled at his work.

“Beast Boy your snow angel looks more like a snow devil.” Robin smirked and pointed to the “angel” that had two pointy elf ears.

“Well it’s probably better than Cyborg’s snowman.” Raven who was levitating in the air with her legs crossed pointed to Cyborg. Cyborg was working hard on his creation and it took him a while to realize what Raven had just said.

“HEY!” He shot a glare that would usually belong to Raven. Cyborg returned to forming the snow into an unknown shape. After a couple minutes he stood back.

“Boo Ya! It’s like looking into a mirror.” The rest of the teen titans stared at the snow Cyborg. Each had a sweat drop on their forehead. The snow-thing was lopped sided and it looked more like Plasmus than anything like Cyborg.

“I also do not understand this aspect of the so called “Christmas” Starfire looked puzzled. “How does a human man turn into frozen matter like snow?”

Earlier Robin had tried to explain that it was almost Christmas, and that the snow was also a reminder of Christmas.

“People make snowmen to” Robin’s eyes widened. Then his face was splattered in snow.

“I got you back!!!” Beast Boy started to laugh. He picked up some more snow then threw it a Raven. “Come Raven! Let’s have some fun!”

Robin dived behind a near by hill and Starfire quickly flew behind him.

“Ok Star. When I stand up I want you to blast the snowballs that they throw. Then ill throw snowballs at them.” Robin smiled. “This is going to be an all out war.”

A small wave of water crept up the sand and touched Shocks toes. It then returned back leaving her toes numb.

“What’s the point of me doing this?” Shock was standing near the water. Her boots, gloves and shirt were off, leaving her with only a light blue tank top and a pair of jeans. The jeans were rolled up to her knees.

“It’s your initiation.” Mammoth said.

“You already proved that you’re strong enough to be on the team.” Gizmo was smiling.

“Shock all you have to do is run in, dive and then run back out.” Jinx was sitting on a bench beside a towel and Shocks belongings.

“But the water is freezing.” She looked at the titan’s tower. “Can’t I just knock on their door or something?”

“No.”

“Just go!” Mammoth pointed to the water.

Shock walked a couple feet into the water until it was below her knees. She realized she was still wearing her glasses. ‘You never do take them of do you’ she told herself. She pulled them off and threw them towards Gizmo, who scrambled to not drop them.

“Hey! You could have come back and gave them to me!” Gizmo glared at Shock even though her back was turned to him. Shock was now wading through the water which was up to her waist. She flinched every time a wave touched her side.

“This is so stupid.” She muttered to herself.

“Just dive!” Mammoth yelled.

On Mammoths command she dived into the water. In a moments time she jumped out of the water and ran for the shore. Gizmo started to laugh maniacally.

“AH!” She yelled then looked at Gizmo’s small mechanical backpack. Shocks eyes flashed blue then Gizmo’s backpack erupted with sparks. Gizmo’s eyes widened then he threw off his back pack.

“What the hell! You idiot you know how long it took me to rebuild that from our little fight with the titans?!”

“Actually no.” She had a short laugh while picking up her glasses. She grabbed her stuff than walked over to Jinx who was holding a towel out to her.

“Why do you wear those glasses all the time? It’s not like there fashionable or anything.” Shock put her boots on then pulled her shirt over her head. Jinx saw that her eyes were a deep blue. She studied the glasses for a moment then put them on.

“They show the statistics of superheroes…and villains.” Shock sat down next to Jinx and took the towel. “Why do you hate the titans so much?”

“I’m a villain and they’re heroes. Do I need to explain anymore?”

“I don’t think that’s the reason you want to beat them.” Shock raised an eyebrow while drying her hair. Why not tell her Jinx thought as she saw Gizmo ruin Mammoth’s snowman and then they started to have a snowball fight.

“We were once on top of the titans.” She stared off into some unknown space. “We actually stole that tower of theirs.” A smile crept up on her face. “H.I.V.E gave us to a guy named Slade to work for.”

Shock shuddered Slade.

“Well we seemed to be on top of things until they found a way to set of the alarm and catch us off guard. We tried to stop them, but they seemed unbeatable. We were surprised. Very surprised.” Jinx looked back to Shock. “We returned to H.I.V.E and I can’t remember how long we trained I just know it was very long.

“After a couple of weeks, maybe months. A new guy named Stone came to H.I.V.E. he had extreme power. We let him join our little team, he went through the initiation. Way different from yours.” She pointed to the water. “It was perfect. Our team was on the top of H.I.V.E’s list. We were the best. Until...” Jinx became silent.

“What happened to H.I.V.E?”

“It was Stone or Cyborg I should say.” Jinx muttered.

“That half robot guy?”

“Yeah. He led the teen titans into H.I.V.E. giving them our home. That’s why I want to get revenge.”

“You liked Cyborg didn’t you?” Shock grinned.

“I didn’t like Cyborg I liked Stone.” Jinx cheeks had gotten a light blush. “But Stone was a fake.”

“What if I told you I could get the titans tower back?”

“That’s impossible.” Jinx stared at Mammoth who threw a snowball that hit Gizmo in the place where the sun doesn’t shine. She smiled as Gizmo fell face first into the snow whimpering. Shock put on her black gloves.

“Nothings impossible.”

Jinx rolled her eyes.

“We’ve tried millions of times to beat them. And you think we can take their tower.”

“You forgot one thing. You now have me.” Shock smiled. “All you have to do is change your attack patterns, and at the most learn a few new moves”

“What about the security? The Titans tower has very high tech security.”

Shock laughed. She raised he hand and a small bolt of electricity danced to the top of her finger. “Its electrical isn’t it?”

Jinx smiled but she still had doubts. “You really think we can beat them?”

“I’m sure of it.”

Two snowballs zoomed past their heads nearly hitting them, Jinx and Shock both had a surprised expression on her face.

“Should we go beat them up?” Shock pointed at Gizmo and Mammoth who had two snowballs ready to throw.

“Yeah lets.”

And the battle began.

Great!! I liked how Shock got 'initiated', then smashed Gizmo's backpack. That made me laugh. Hard. I loved the snowball fights (with the H.I.V.E. and the Titans) and Cy's 'snowman'. Hilarious.

Just watch out for punctuation and capitalization. They bite.

I loved it! Its always nice to see winter fun among villains and super heroes, The 'Payback' was funny, BB hiding behind Raven... that made me laugh. The initiation was also great, well, instead of listing how good everything was, the whole chapter was awesome!

Chapter 6- Mission not so impossible

1 day left….getting excited?



Mammoth peered into the fridge. After some thought he picked out a jar of mayonnaise in his right hand and set it on the counter top. His hand reappeared back in the fridge. This time it helped his other hand take out a head of lettuce, a tomato, a wrapped up package of some unknown meat and a jar of pickles. He set these items beside the mayo then scratched his head. He was missing something. He went back to the fridge and took out a small box of Chinese food. Shock raised an eyebrow as she watched him.

“Uh. My special ingredient?”

“Yeah. Ok then.”

She returned back to the large blue sheet she was examining. Shock had brought a stool up to the extended counter top. Her eyes met the large butcher knife Mammoth was using to cut the lettuce and the tomatoes. Slowly and cautiously she brought her eyes back to the paper. The corners of the paper were persistently curling up to the middle as if being beckoned by a magnet of some sort. Shock was just as persistent and continued to press them back down. Gizmo had taken apart his metal backpack and was repairing a tiny part with an equally sized blowtorch. The parts surrounded him appearing like a barrier. Jinx was seen bobbing her head enthusiastically to the song of her headphones lying on her head. She was laying on the couch with her back on one of the armrests a magazine in hand. As she listened to the music, she would occasionally glance at Gizmo (who would be getting frustrated), laugh quietly then return to her magazine.

Life had become simple. H.I.V.E had gained a new member and was still unaware of the plans for the next attack. Each member had gone and done there own thing Mammoth doing his routine of cleaning out the fridge, Jinx…well she usually had something productive to do but today she didn’t feel like doing anything, as for Gizmo and Shock they were plotting there victory inside there head. Like most of us do.

“Hmm.” Shock muttered.

“What’s that?” Jinx had gotten up from the couch and was peeking over Shocks shoulder. She slid the headphone over her two tuffs of lavender hair and let them rest on her shoulders.

“It’s a map of Jump City. Let’s just say I borrowed it from one of my old friends. I’m trying to figure out how to steal the titan’s tower.”

“Why can’t we just beat them and take the tower?” Mammoth shoved half of his sandwich in his mouth.

“Well you think you guys would have already done that. And anyways where do they go where they’re beat?” Shock rhetorically asked. “Ok. Here’s where we are.” She placed her index finger on a large H. “And there are the titans.” She moved her finger to an equal sized T, all the while Jinx and Mammoth’s eyes followed.

“The plan is….”

I don’t think she knows what she’s doing… Jinx mused.

“…me, Jinx, and Mammoth will rob some store that’s on this street.” Her finger traced the street. “Gizmo will be hiding somewhere near the tower and he will tell us when there coming.”

“That’s all I do?!” He stood on a stool near the rest of the team. “I’m the smartest and all I do is wait for those stinking brain dead idiots to come out from hiding?”

“Glad you joined us…” Shock said sarcastically. “That’s not the end of our little fight. When we fight the titans were going to use these.” She fumbled in her pocket then brought out four metallic silver balls. They each had a small red button. “These will knock the titans out for at least 20 minutes. All we have to do is throw them at the ground directly underneath them. The gas knocks them out. Then we head to the tower where Gizmo will be waiting. I’ll help him hack into the security system and the tower is ours. But when the titans come back we’re going to have some fight.”

“So smart one. Why are there only four gas bombs there are five stinking titans?” Most people know who that was.

“You guys already know that I can control electricity and machines. Stuff like that.”

“It’s Cyborg. He’s half machine.” Jinx was right. “If you can stop him then were equal to the titans. 4 to 4.”

At least she’s not clueless Shock thought.

“Yeah but i'm not sure if I will be able to stop him. After all he is half human, so I it might not work completely?”

“Completely?” Jinx shot a look of shame at Mammoth who shoved the rest of his sandwich in his mouth and went back to the fridge for more.

Nobody noticed Gizmo go back to his inventions. Shock dropped the bombs back in her pocket. She smiled.

“I might only gain control of his legs or his arms. Tomorrow we should fight the titans.”

“For what? We never fight the titans without a reason.” Mammoth mumbled through a mouthful of food.

“To test my theory about Cyborg and for some fun.” An evil grin spread on her face. “And you said you were villains.”

“Dude its lopsided just like your snowman!” Beast Boy scuffled with the colorful ornaments he held in his hands.

“BB you need to get some new eyes. The tree is perfect.”

Starfire flew up and placed the final touch, the star.

“Now it’s perfect.” Robin said entering the room.

“Robin! You have finished the tracking of the H.I.V.E?”

“Yeah. I figured they gave up. They haven’t committed there daily crime.”

“Maybe they are resting for this holiday of Christmas.”

Robin looked around at the Titans decorating job.

“Great decorating.”

“Decorating the tower is pointless.” Raven had spoken up from her corner where she had been recently meditating.

“C’mon Raven! We know you love Christmas.” Beast wiggled the end of some tinsel in front of Raven’s face. She put her book up in front of her face.

“I don’t “love” anything. Except.” She annunciated “except” making it speak out from the rest of her sentence. “I love it when you don’t bother me.”

“Friends this Christmas you speak of sounds most glorious!”

“So… Robin. When will our “glorious” Christmas shopping start?” Beast Boy moved away from Raven.

“I guess…when ever we have another day like today.”

Robin sat on the couch and picked up the remote. Everything was perfect, no criminals, no urgent problem that needed to be fixed they could just relax and have fun. And for once Robin was glad that Slade was gone. He had put the newspaper clippings away and decided to drop the idea that Slade never died. Relax. Have some fun. That’s what he told himself that but something seemed odd. H.I.V.E had just disappeared, did he really think they gave up. An odd looking sparrow flew by the window, he glanced at it, shook his head then returned to aimlessly changing the channels. Cyborg sat down beside Robin and he pulled out the game station with two controllers.

“Ya’ll wanna play Maniac Fighters 4?”

“Sure why not.” Robin took one the controller from Cyborg’s hand. Beast Boy jumped over the back of the couch and landed beside Cyborg.

“I play the winner!”

“Which is gonna be none other then Cyborg!”

“Not if I have anything to do with it!” Robin shouted then the game started.

Chapter 7- All hail the mighty H.I.V.E
Present (finally)

“And not to pull your halo down around your neck and tug you to the ground. But I’m more than just a little curious how your planning on making your amends.” The Noose. The Perfect Circle.



The street H.I.V.E stood on was oddly different. There were no traffic jams or cannibal shoppers it was just empty. It was near Christmas…there should be lots of shoppers but there wasn’t. Then one of the shop doors opened and a man came out holding two grocery bags one in each hand. He looked over at Jinx who had her hands on her hips, as he saw who was standing not too far away a shocked expression showed on his face.

“Boo.” She said and the man scurried away leaving the bags on the ground, Jinx grinned.

“Good more food.” Mammoth said licking his lips and staring at the food.

“Uhh Mammoth can we get on with this?” Shock pointed to the jewelry store near Mammoth.

“Right.” He cracked his knuckles and approached the store. There was a large clear glass window and Mammoth saw the lady behind the cash register duck behind her desk in fear. He pitched his fist at the wall of glass and the shatter echoed threw out the deserted street.

“Those cludge-monkeys better get here quick.”

Mammoth returned back to the rest of his team. The red siren light from the store blinked on and off, and it was starting to annoy Gizmo until he heard screeching tires and the T-Car take a sharp right turn on the street that they were on. Shock slowly disappeared behind Gizmo, Jinx, and Mammoth. So it appeared that H.I.V.E. had never gained a new member. The teen titans rushed out of the T-Car and ran near H.I.V.E. Robin of course leading the gang.

“Dude I thought you said H.I.V.E gave up?”

“I was wrong.” Robin said angrily. “H.I.V.E its time you finally gave this up! Tita-” Robin was about to say his catch phase until he saw the person walk out from in between Jinx and Mammoth.

“Shock?” He said dumbfounded.

“Hey Rob. Long time no see?” Shock had a smug look on her face. “H.I.V.E GO!”

“Uhh Robin isn’t that your saying except “Titans Go!”?” Beast Boy asked.

“Never mind that lets kick there butts!” Cyborg started to run at Shock and then began to pull his hand back, giving her one hard punch.

“Cyborg NO!” Robin yelled. But it was too late Shock held her hand up and it illuminated in a light blue. She shut her eyes, when she opened them Cyborg was frozen with his arm pulled back right in front of her hand.

“What the? I can’t move!” Apparently Cyborg could still talk.

“It actually worked.” Jinx said. She ran at Robin sending waves of purple at him, he back flipped away from them, and they crashed into the ground.

“Titans GO!”

“You idiots don’t stand a chance now!” The wings that Gizmo had used in past similar battles emerged looking new and revised. Both had a small rocket launcher underneath it. He fired two at Starfire, she flew backwards and she easily hit the one that was coming to her the fastest with an equally sized starbolt. The other however hit Starfire sending her plummeting to the ground. She finally skidded to a stop near Shock who was fighting Raven. Starfire stared up at Shock who had just punched a black force field.

“You are the villain that stole those chips and gave what Tamaranian’s call the Clorthax promise of Gurlads!”

Shock swung a lower kick underneath Raven. Her aim was to trip Raven but Raven just levitated upwards and avoided it.

“I’ll admit that I stole the chips…but I don’t know what the heck you’re talking about.”

Shock placed her hands in front of me and created a tiny ball of electricity. She put more of her energy in it and it grew to the size of a baseball. Shock pulled her right hand back and threw the ball of energy at Raven. It hit her and she flew back a little bit but she recovered easily.

“What’s the matter Raven? You can’t even dodge a simple energy ball.” Shock said that in a too-bad sort of manner. “You really should go back to Azarath and train your powers more.”

“How did you know that?” Raven glared coldly.

How could somebody figure that out, especially someone she had never seen in her life. She had told her friends but it’s not likely that they had told other people. Raven was mad. That was personal information that should only be shared with people she knew.

A blue car that was parked to the side of the road was consumed in black energy and was sent speeding towards Shock. She jumped on the hood and ran on the top. She used the car to give her jus enough height to jump up and grab Raven’s cloak. Bringing Raven down to a more equal level.

A green rhino stamped past them and charged at Mammoth. Mammoth grabbed onto the rhino’s horn and pushed him back, he moved his arms so he was now holding the rhino in mid-air. Starfire was throwing a bunch of starbolts at Gizmo who was flying through them as if he had done it many times. Mammoth tossed the rhino at Starfire and right before the rhino made contact with Starfire it turned back to being Beast Boy.

“Friend you must watch out where you are being thrown.”

“Star its not like I can help it!”

Beast Boy stood up and rubbed his head. He looked around and saw Gizmo at his feet placing something on the ground.

“What the?”

There was a blinding flash and then all Beast Boy could see was grey. He rubbed his eyes and stared into the grayness. Beast Boy thought it was a smoke bomb so he started to walk straight…into a pole. He stumbled backwards trying to gain balance. But his tries were hopeless and he landed back on the ground unconscious. Starfire stood up and searched for Gizmo. He was nowhere in sight, so Starfire decided to look for Beast Boy who was also gone. Starfire flew over to Raven and started to help her fight of Shock.

Gizmo’s wings had returned and he flew over to the frozen Cyborg. He knocked on Cyborgs forehead.

“Hey now he really is a bucket of bolts!” Gizmo laughed at his own joke.

“OH you little! Just wait till I can move!” Cyborg shouted.

“Gizmo!” Shock turned away from Raven and didn’t see Starfire approaching. “Stop fooling aro-” Starfire had thrown a beam of energy at Shock knocking her farther away. A look of regret appeared on Starfire’s face.

“Time for a little baseball ladies.” Mammoth ran in swinging a street light pole at Starfire and Raven. He hit a home run. Starfire went flying into the T-car. It rocked on its wheels then stopped there was a new dent in the side. Raven threw two garbage cans at Mammoth who used them as baseballs. The garbage can twirled in the air and then came in contact with Raven knocking her near Starfire.

Robin’s thoughts were flying through his mind. He didn’t know what to think. Was that really Shock? He dodged more of Jinx’s attacks not making any offensive move. He remembered. Shock had stayed in Gotham City with her family. That was it; there was no point of her coming to Jump City. Then another question blared through his mind. If she’s so much of your friend why is she fighting on H.I.V.E’s side?

“C’mon Robin you can’t deal with a little bad luck?” Jinx changed her direction of firing towards the ground. The pavement peeled up and like a wave of water rolled towards Robin. He jumped up. In the air he scanned the battle area. Beast Boy was unconscious, Starfire and Raven were hurt, and Cyborg stuck in time. They weren’t doing to well. The wave slowly disappeared leaving the pavement cracked and rocks everywhere. H.I.V.E had regrouped in front of Robin. He took out four disks and held them in between his fingers. He threw them at the ground and smoke covered H.I.V.E.

“Titans retreat!”

Starfire and Raven got up; Starfire rushed over and grabbed Cyborg. She put him in the backseat beside Raven. Beast Boy regained consciousness and turned into an eagle to fly back to the tower. Robin got in the drivers seat and drove away as fast as he could.

Shock rubbed her head.

“Did we just win?” Shock said the smoke started to drift away, and there were no titans.

“We just won..” Jinx muttered.

They turned to look at each other and exchanged smiles.

“Can I get a large pizza with all the toppings and uh extra cheese?”

Shock had her elbows on the table and was using her shoulder to hold up the phone to one ear. They had decided to order pizza in celebration of the victory. Mammoth and Gizmo sat at the table waiting impatiently for it. Jinx walked over too Shock.

“You better make that two. Knowing Mammoth he’ll probably eat the first one by himself.”

“True. Can I make that two large pizzas?” A mumbling sound came out of the earpiece. “WHAT!er fine.” Shock hung up the phone then pulled a chair out sitting with the rest of her team, Jinx sat down beside her.

“If there late…we better get the stinking pizza free!”

“Who cares about paying for the pizza we won!” Jinx said with a big grin.

“Yeah we beat those wimps!” Gizmo yelled.

“Even though I could have been spared getting hit with one of that tamaranian's starbolt.” Shock said glaring at Gizmo.

“Yeah Gizmo watch what your doing.”

“Did you order two pizza’s or three?”

Everyone turned to look blankly at Mammoth.

“What?”

“Anyways…” Jinx said obviously trying to change the subject. “It looked like you know Robin.”

“I knew him. I...” The doorbell rang. Yes, just in time. Shock thought. She answered the door. The boy looked about 20; he had a winter jacket covering his pizza boy “uniform”. He held a large red package out to Shock, the pizzas.

“Two large pizzas all the toppings. $18.95” Shock pulled out a twenty and handed it to him.

“Thank you Ma’am.”

She tried hard not to laugh as he took the twenty and left. Nobody had ever called her “ma’am”, it just seemed weird.

“Pizza!” Shock brought it to the table and everyone started to eat forgetting about how Shock knew the gung-ho leader of the titans.

The door slammed shut as the titans returned home. Cyborg had started to regain mobility of his limbs as they got farther away from Shock, he became quiet trying to figure out what happened. Robin walked over to the window and stared outside. The rest of the titans approached him.

“Robin. This new girl we faced knew you and by your response you knew her too.” Raven said.

“Yes Robin it was most obvious that you have met this girl in the past.” Starfire placed her hand on his shoulder.

“Her name is Ashley Kurke. I grew up with her in Gotham City. She was one of my closest friends.” He paused. “Two years ago her father killed her mother than turned on himself, leaving Ashley and her little brother orphans.”

“That’s horrible.” Beast Boy muttered.

“The police had no clue what happened…they seemed to be perfectly happy. He just went crazy.”

“But how did she do that weird freeze thing?” Cyborg asked.

“That’s her power. She can control electricity and machines. And seeing that you’re half robot she just stopped your system. Like Raven’s powers her powers are control by emotions. She loses control over them to emotions like anger, sadness, or fear.” The last word reminded Robin of a memory. He and Shock had gone to the movies to see a new horror film. He had forgotten the name but the memory was clear.

~Flashback~

“Ashley are you sure you want to see this movie?” Robin looked at the lady holding two tickets out to Ashley. She took them and turned on her heel around to Robin.

“Why Robin are you scared?”

She gave him a half grin then continued to enter the main room of the theatre. He followed. As he looked around he saw that there were people of all ages, couples, and little kids. There were three lines for popcorn. The theatres surrounded them with there bright lit up signs showing the names of the movies.

“How scary can it be it only PG13.” She grabbed his hand and pulled him towards theater number 13. Lucky number.

“Don’t you want popcorn?”

“No time…movie’s about to start.”

The stared up at the black screen. The movie went on, and on about dead people and ghosts. Then out of nowhere as the protagonist was talking to another character, a dead girl’s face popped up on the screen. Robin jumped out of his seat and Shock yet out a short yelp/scream and the screen went out. A bunch of mumbling came from the other viewers. Robin leaned over to Shock who had a huge grin on her face.

“I think we should go.”

“Yeah. Let’s do that.” They slowly exited the theatre avoiding any people. To Robin that scary part had seemed absolutely pointless but it was scary. The left the building, and as soon as they set there feet on the pavement they both burst out laughing. As soon as they caught there breath they noticed that the street light had gone out too and the neon sign that read “Gotham’s National Theatre” now was a dead grey.

“Oops.” Shock said. Robin just smiled, knowing that the lights would soon be on, and that his friend had just blacked out the entire city.

~End Flashback~

Robin was smiling and the titans were looking at him oddly.

“Dude. Why are you smiling we just lost!?”

“Robin any clue as to why this Ashley wants to fight you?” Raven asked. “You did say she was your closest friend.”

“Yeah Robin what’s her deal! She totally fried my systems.” Cyborg was using his left arm to repair his right.

“I don’t know why.” Robin conscience was fighting with what he was saying. He knew why she was here, he knew why she was fighting with him, and he knew he wasn’t going to tell the titans the truth. That was it.

It was his past and it was going to stay in the past.


OOC. Has anyone seen the village? and if so is it just me or did that movie suck?

Chapter 9- A little birdie

Starfire raised her hand up to knock on Robin’s door. She had felt something was wrong with him before coming to his room. He had left after Starfire and the rest of the titans stopped asking him questions about this new girl. Starfire felt the guiltiest since she was the most persistent in asking questions, and she wanted to apologize. She tapped twice lightly on the door.
“Robin?”

“Yeah Star?” The door slid open and Robin was standing in front of her.

“I just wanted to offer you my utter most apologies.” Starfire fidgeted with her fingers. “It seemed as if you were stricken with sorrow and I only wish for you to be joyful.”

“Thanks Starfire and you don’t have to apologize I just wanted to be alone.”

Starfire noticed that there was something crumpled up in Robin’s hand, she decided not to ask what it was.

“I’m going to go back to searching for HIVE’s hideout.” Robin stretched his hand out to press the button that shut his door. He was surprised to feel the warmth of Starfire’s hand touch his.

“Robin you should not consume yourself in all this “searching.” Come Robin lets return to our friends.”

Starfire beckoned Robin to come and leave his room, and for once he agreed and let Starfire take him back to the living room. They entered the living room still hand in hand, but those hands were quickly separated as Starfire raise her hand to her mouth and gasped. Robin just stared wide eyed.

The living room was a disaster. The sofas had been flipped over, all the chairs were flipped over and every object was either on the ground or out of place.

“What happened?” Robin scanned over the living room and noticed that Beast Boy was chasing some flying object. It soared past Robin and Starfire, they both ducked. Cyborg had a net in his hand and ran after it. Raven was floating a couple feet in the air meditating when the thing flew past her head, in the next moment she was sprawled on the floor with Beast Boy beside her.

“Uhh…watch out.” Beast boy stood up grinning then continued to chase the thing. Raven shot him one last glare then continued to meditate. Robin and Starfire ran after it. Starfire aimed a starbolt then fired. It hit the thing and it came spinning towards the ground. A trail of smoke appearing from its tail. All of the titans except Raven huddled around the object. Each of them curious as to what the thing was. The smoke slowly drifted away.

“Wicked shot mate. But I’m afraid to tell ya that tis highly impossible to destroy me.” A British voice spoke up.

When the smoke parted the titans were left gaping at the most strangest animal ever. Well that’s what Beast Boy thought. They could see it was a small bird, it was covered in dark silver panels, one of its wings seemed more realistic than the other none the less it was a machine. Three metallic feathers protruded from its rear end.

“Jack…” Robin muttered disgustedly.

“What the heck is that?!” Beast shouted pointing to the animal.

“It seems like an earth animal.”

“I know earth animals Star and that is not an animal.”

“Sorry for my rather rude entrance.” The bird placed a wing in front of his chest and then bowed. “The names Jack. Jack the sparrow.”

“Ya’ll know how he talks?” Cyborg muttered staring at it.

“Shock built him. As I remember it took her forever to get him like this. Annoying and arrogant.” Robin muttered staring hard at the bird.

“Similar to Beast Boy.” Raven said loud enough for Beast Boy to hear.

“HEY!”

Robin grabbed the bird by its feet and brought it upside down to eye level.

“With you here something is probably going on with Shock. Now tell me what do you want?” His voice was strict.

“I ‘master Robin’” Jack said it in a rude manner. “have left Ashley. And you as my side creator are my next master.”

“No.” Robin tossed him away but Jack flew back beside Robin’s head. Robin started to walk back to his room, Jack followed.

“How do I know your not being controlled by Shock?”

“Robin, Robin, Robin you of all people should know that Ashley created me to be her friend and friends are never controlled by one another.”

“Whatever just go bother somebody else.”

Robin entered his room, his sanctuary, his way to escape the rest of the tower. This way he could work on his problems one, by one.

“DIE SNOT!!” Gizmo yelled as he pressed all the buttons on the controller at once. The screen blared “K.O”.

“Oh well. Mammoth it’s your turn.” Shock tossed the controller and moved beside Jinx Mammoth took her spot. As usual Gizmo started to yell rude names at Mammoth. After a couple minutes Shock slowly crept away and only Jinx noticed.

She walked down the hallway past Jinx’s room, past Mammoths room, past her room that Gizmo laughed at and called a closet, and then she saw her goal Gizmo’s room. Shock opened the door half way then slipped in. She saw one of the largest computers that she has ever seen. Lots of screens covered the back wall of Gizmo’s room with just a space to add things to the many towers. Shock approached it uneasily. Even though she thought Gizmo was a brat, she didn’t want to break his precious computer. She sat down at the tiny computer seat, and pulled something from the inside of her boot. After plugging it into the back of the tower she hesitantly pressed the on button. The screen turned on and she clicked on the program that she had plugged in. The sound of footsteps came for just out side the door. Shock turned around quickly but nobody was there. She started to filter through the programs and type in half her password when…

“What are you doing?”

Shock screamed and one of the towers exploded.

“Jinx!” Shock took a deep breath and controlled herself. “You scared the crap out of me.”

“What are you doing in Gizmo’s room?” Jinx stared at the screen, and saw the half password written in.

“If I tell you you can’t tell the others ok?”

“Whatever.”

Shock finished writing the password and the program started up. Each screen showed a different area in titans tower, and in one of them you could see the titans moving around.

Anyway, it'd be most interesting to see what connects Robin snd Spark, and what Spark intends to go with Gizmo's computer. That's a hint, by the way...:evil:

Tons of twists and turns, I love where this is going. Shock and Robin's "relationship" is so intruiging, it makes me want to read a lot more. I have no critisms, because the Titans and the HIVE are both really cool!

heh....well...heres the next chapter. The song doesn't fit the chapter exactly but it is close enough.

Chapter 10- Bad enough

It seemed like a broken record. Especially to Jinx. Gizmo was whining over there communicators. She was usually used to this, but today it was getting on her nerves.

“I don’t understand why I have to watch the stinking titans in their stinking little tower. I’d rather be fighting them…or at least watching them get their butts kicked.”

Jinx held the communicator up and glared at it. Right now she felt like tearing it apart. The cold didn’t make it any better either. The fluffy snow was floating all over Jump City, and a foot of snow had resigned on the streets. Jinx shut the cover down in the middle of Gizmo’s talking.

“Any objections?”

Jinx looked back at Shock and Mammoth, who both shook their heads at the same time.

“Let’s go here.” Shock pointed to a small bank. They walked in. People stared from there places in line.

The small bank didn’t look so small inside. There were large oak desks lined along one side of the walls. The people stretched from wall to wall. Jinx turned and forced her palms out creating a large purple wave at the nearest desk. It twirled over all the people’s heads and crashed into the back wall becoming a million pieces.

“Nice one.” Shock said smiling while the people screamed.

“Everyone to that side. Now.” Mammoth pointed. All the people scrambled and huddled at the other side. H.I.V.E saw that at the back there was a large vault. They started too walked towards it.

While they were walking Jinx remembered seeing the titans on the screen in Gizmo’s room. Somehow Shock had gotten a “camera” into the tower. The titans were planning to try and get Shock to join them; Jinx had thought that they should have sent Shock undercover. But Shock insisted that it would never work. So they had stuck to the original plan.

Shock looked around at the people. She noticed that they were really really scared. She heard murmurs throughout the crowd as her foot hit something. Puzzled she stopped walking and stared down at her feet. She realized she had kicked a child’s teddy bear. Shock picked it up and studied it. It looked fairly worn and was missing one of its button eyes. A soft whimpering sound came from the crowd. Shock turned her head and saw a small girl that looked to be about 4 trying to get away from her mother to retrieve her teddy. She had blond hair that was in pig tails, her face was streamed with tears. Shock walked over to her and knelt on one knee.

“You have to be quiet okay?” She handed the girl the doll who grabbed it and then turned to her mother. Shock ran back to her team. Jinx was staring at her oddly.

“What was that all about?” She questioned.

“I was just making the kid shut up.” Shock looked at the vault. “Let’s do this.”

Mammoth punched the small keyboard. If crumpled under his immense strength. A red light immerged from a panel above them, and started to flash.

“Does every store have a red light?” Mammoth asked.

“I guess we don’t have to steal anything now even though we never do. The Teen Titans always come just because we break in.” Jinx rolled her eyes.

“Let’s go outside and wait for them.” Shock turned around and started to walk towards the door. “Remember throw the gas bombs at their feet. Anywhere else and it won’t affect them.” She tossed two of the gas bombs at them and they caught it. She paused in thought about the upcoming fight.

“Hey…I want you two to go over there.” She pointed to a near by alley that held a few garbage cans. A look of disgust came over there faces. “Just trust me on this.” There communicators rang in unison. Jinx and Mammoth turned and sulked into the alley.

“That must mean that the titans are com-”

Shock stopped talking and turned to the corner of the street. A low rumbling sound coming from an engine was heard in the distance. In a minute’s time, the boy wonder himself came riding his one and only R-cycle. Shock grinned and then crossed her arms. He stopped quickly after seeing Shock.

She purposely changed her emotions to sadness.

“Robin?” She stared at him with fake tears welling up in her eyes.

He removed his helmet and started to walk towards Shock questioning her purpose. Robin knew in his head that something wasn’t right, but his heart said otherwise. Seeing her sad and seeing the tears that flowed down her face made him pity her no matter what she had done. She was his best friend but

Something wasn’t right.

As the space between him and Shock shortened, he remembered the times they shared together. Going to school, the movies, just plain hanging out, and even the odd time when they would stop a robbery. He hoped that they were going to be friends again but

Something didn’t feel right.

Robin stepped in front of her, the snow crunching underneath his feet. She didn’t attack him, didn’t move, just stood there staring into his eyes.

“I just wanted you to know that I never wanted to be on H.I.V.E’s team. They forced me to steal those microchips; they forced me to help them beat you. I never wanted to be like this.”

Shock bowed her head in sorrow, Robin stared at her blankly. He never expected this. He expected her to burst out in laughter due to the fact that he believed her sadness. This…was different. Robin placed his hand on her shoulders and she walked closer.

“Ashley….its ok.” He heard the T-car swerve near him, and the doors slam shut.

“Robin!” Cyborg called out at him. “Don’t! It could be a…trap.”

He gazed at her face. The sad frown had turned into an evil grin. It made him sick and angry. He had actually fallen for one of her traps. Robin stepped back and reached for his bow staff, he saw that she was holding something.

“And I thought you would have been last to go. Night night Robin.” Shock threw the ball at his feet, and it erupted in a small cloud of gas. He swayed a little, then he reached up to cover his mouth but he had already inhaled some of the gas.

“He actually fell for it…” Shock muttered smiling but inside she still felt guilty.

Then he fell to his hands and knees at the one person’s feet he would never trust again.

this would have been up sooner but ive had so much homework that last week...and i have a science project that im suppose to be working on..but i can save that for later:D ONCE AGAIN i will remind you that im not good and i dont like writing action chapters but nevertheless this is one...soo enjoy!

Chapter 11- Thieves

Shock took her glasses off and wiped her eyes with her sleeve.

“Are you guys just going to stand there?”

Jinx and Mammoth walked over. Mammoth gave Robin’s body a nudge with the toe of his foot.

“Is he dead?”

“No. But we will be soon if we don’t fight.” Jinx did a back flip to dodge the oncoming beam from Cyborg’s cannon.

“Yall better move out of the way. Titans GO!”

Shock stepped over Robin and ran at Cyborg. She danced around Starfire’s starbolts and pointed at Cyborg.

“Sure lets make a deal. I will move and you’ll stop.” Shock smiled as her gloved hand glowed blue light blue. “Oh. I forgot you don’t have a choice.”

With his cannon facing in the direction of H.I.V.E he froze.

“Nice. Better put that down.” Cyborg’s cannon swung lifelessly to his side and change back to what would be a normal hand to him.

“If I ever figure out how to fix my systems so you can’t do that! YOU WILL PAY!!”

Cyborg started to threat her some more but she was caught off guard by one of Raven’s force fields covering Cyborg. Shock was thrown back while Raven started to walk towards her.

“If this is just for revenge. Stop it. Revenge is pointless and it leads to no where.”

“Who are you to tell me what to do?” Instead of getting up Shock rolled the metallic ball over to Ravens feet. The tiny explosion of smoke drifted up to Raven’s head.

“Azzarath…Metrio…n” Raven tumbled drowsily to the side.

“Raven!” Beast Boy shouted as she fell to the ground. Shock stood up and dusted off her pants.

“Three down two to go. Wow Robin this team of yours is not really doing its job of uh… being a team.”

“What’s your deal!?” Beast Boy morphed into a gorilla and swiped at her with a giant hand, she ducked and jumped to the side. Shock tried to half stumble and have crawled away but was too slow and was pinned to the concrete wall by a green tiger. He changed back into himself.

“What did you do to my friends?!”

She was about to give Beast Boy one heck of a bolt of electricity when Jinx did a roundhouse kick that sent Beast Boy sliding across the pavement. Jinx and Shock both started to close in on Beast Boy….

“Robin! Please friend of mine! Awake!!” Starfire knelt beside Robin cradling his head in her hands. He was still alive and she knew that. But her thoughts traveled to that “girl”, the one girl that seemed to change the Robin she knew to another Robin that was unfamiliar to her.

“Sorry but your little boyfriend isn’t going to wake up.”

Mammoth reached with one of his hands to grab Starfire away from Robin. But she flew up into the air while tossing starbolts at him. Starfire heard a noise coming from behind her and turned around just in time to be hit by a wave of lavender energy. Starfire flipped through the air and when she finally got a hold of her body she realized she had stopped right in front of Mammoth. He grasped her with both of his hands.

“Now it time for you to join your friends.”

“I refuse to lose to criminals like you!” Her eyes blazed green as she shot an eye beam at him. He fell onto the pavement releasing Starfire. Starfire glanced over Jinx’s shoulder and saw Beast Boy lying in a heap of cement that was now being covered by a light snow. We are going to fail she thought helplessly.

Jinx shook her head. “Guys can’t do anything right.”

Being careful not to fall on the now icy pavement Jinx fancily cart wheeled out of the way from another storm of starbolts coming from Starfire’s direction. She then quickly sent three hexes following each other surprising at the ground; it sent the pavement and the snow flying up at Starfire like a giant wave. Chunks of cement were sent flying like torpedoes at Starfire she managed to block some of them but a large enough one knocked her to the ground. Mammoth who had recovered walked over to Starfire.

“Have a nice sleep girly.” He dropped the ball near her head, and it exploded as he ran back to Jinx.

“We have ten minutes.” Jinx said, and she couldn’t help but grin. The titans were at there feet...literally.

“GET OUT OF MY SYSTEM!”

Both Jinx and Mammoth spun around to Cyborg. They saw Shock grinning from behind him.

“Don’t you guys want to travel in style?” She held up the light blue square key that Cyborg used to start the T-car. It would usually be inside his chest plate but she had figured out how to take it out without his permission. She tossed it to Jinx.

“I’m taking Robin’s motor cycle.” Shock said then ran over to the motorcycle and turned it upwards. Swinging one leg over, the T-car pulled up beside her. Jinx looked at Shock through the glass, grinned and then revved the engine signifying a race. She then booted it leaving Shock in the smoke from the exhaust. Shock started the motorcycle up using her powers and tailed the T-car. They traveled across the bridge to the tower, side by side. At the end Jinx finished with a sideways swerve followed by an abrupt stop, claiming victory. All three of them left their new vehicles, all with one goal…to see if Gizmo had done his job of hacking into the computers. All three of there jaws dropped at the sight at what Gizmo had done.


Now it gets interesting....

Chapter 12- Home sweet Home

“IT WAS A SIMPLE TASK! HOW COULD YOU SCREW IT UP?”

Shock paced back and forth infront of the door to the tower, Gizmo was standing in front of Jinx and Mammoth.

“All you had to do was hack into the main computer system of the tower…change all the passwords so they suited us…and then GET IN!” She stopped pacing in front of the small computer terminal that Cyborg would usually place his hand to open the main doors. It had been smashed, the screen the small keyboard and the place where you put your hand.

“But no…Gizmo has to smash the computer.”

“Well you cludge heads were taking so long! If you had gotten here earlier this might not be destroyed. I hacked into the computer and changed the passwords, but when I tried to open the door it was being stupid, and wouldn’t let me. Seems those cruddy titans have gotten better security. Well then I got frustrated and decided to be like you and destroy it.”

“What are you? An idiot? I don’t have a choice when that happens!” The light bulb that was lighting up the entrance way exploded.

“Point proven.” Jinx said while stepping up to her. “Shock can’t you just control the system and make the doors open. Because after that I think Gizmo would gladly reset the systems for you.”

“If it was that simple I wouldn’t be mad. The wires are probably all screwed thanks to Gizmo.” She shot him a glare. “I’ll try it anyways.”

She placed her hand on the glass screen that was cracked, it glowed a faint blue. The doors opened completely and Gizmo let out a sigh of relief. But then soon after they crazily opened and shut repeatedly and they all gasped in response. Mammoth stepped up and positioned his hands between the two doors and stopped them, and then he pushed them apart.

“Ladies first.”

Jinx strolled through the doors and looked around, Shock followed.

“Jinx?”

“Yeah?”

“Sorry about that back there, if you hadn’t interrupted I think I would have beaten him up.”

“It’s fine. Sometimes I feel like beating him up too. He is so annoying.”

“HEY you snot brains! I’m right here!”

“Yeah and you should be fixing the door.” Jinx said walking into the kitchen, while Gizmo sulked over to the broken door.

“I wonder if they have any food. I’m starving.” For once that wasn’t Mammoth. Shock walked over to the fridge and peeked in. “Wow. These guys are stocked up.”

“I guess they recently went shopping.” Jinx opened the cupboard and took out two chocolate bars from a blue box, she tossed one to Shock. Mammoth walked over and snatched Shock’s bar. He downed the whole thing while Jinx took a bite out of hers.

“Ugghh. Tofu chocolate.…” Jinx stuck her tongue out.

“It’s better than that blue food that was here last time…”

“The blue food won’t be here anymore. As long as were here.”

Robin slowly came to; since he was the first to fall asleep he was the first to get up. He stood up and rubbed the side of his face, it was numb and tingled at the sign of movement. All he wanted was to get Shock out of Jump City so she couldn’t cause anymore damage. Robin stood there for a moment; maybe the truth was he didn’t want Shock to hurt him anymore. He walked over to the cold curb and sat on the edge.

“Great Robin sitting down is definitely going to help the situation.”

“I don’t know if you’ve noticed but there isn’t way of going anywhere.” Robin’s thumb jabbed out at where the R-cycle used to be.

“Oh yeah I forgot we had no legs.” Raven said sarcastically.

“Please friends let us stop this fighting and figure out who has taken these items of transportation from us!”

“Not just transportation.”

“Now I know what I want for Christmas…a new tower.” Beast Boy chirped in, his hair was covered in small specks of debris.

“Not a good time BB.” Cyborg said as he joined the rest of the team. “It took forever for Beast boy to find the right circuit that Shock disconnected.”

“Wait a minute.” Robin raised an eyebrow, ignoring Cyborg’s comment. “Beast Boy, why would you want a new tower?”

Raven moved to the side so Robin had a clearer version of the tower where the two “missing” vehicles were now parked.

“H.I.V.E has taken our home from us again?”

“Then we’ll just take it back!” Cyborg said. “So…a full fledged attack?”

“No but I do have a plan….” Robin turned in the opposite direction of titan’s tower and started to walk.

Shock lifted the picture frame up to eye level, studying it as Jinx (in the background) paced around the room stopping to look at something then tossing the object carelessly over her shoulder. The carved wooden frame held a picture of Robin and Cyborg seeming to have the time of there lives. A sigh of regret left Shock’s chest. No she thought Don’t do this now, not when were this far.

Her conscience was acting up on her, and she hated it. Shock put the picture back in its place face down, and decided to go fool around with something else in Cyborg’s room. She walked over to the computer desk that unusually had two computers. Swung out the computer chair and sat down and started to search around in the files. She had no idea that she was in Cyborg main computer system.

“What are you doing?” Jinx said gazing over her shoulder.

Shock ignored the question and changed the subject.

“Look it’s like his memories….but in diary format.” Shock started to laugh, but Jinx was not amused. “It’s not that bad. Today I took Jinx to the Sady Hawkins Dance.” She started to read. “It was amazing, we danced for hours. Her eyes shone like diamonds in the moon light, making the stars look like dull light bulbs.”

Shock erupted in laughter grasping her sides, but stopped quickly as she heard a crash from behind her. Swerving around she looked wide eyed at the door that was now lying on the floor crumpled up.

“Jinx” Shock ran out of the chair and jumped over the door. “Looks like Gizmo has some more work to do.” Shock looked up and down the hallway. “Jinx? I was just joking…I made that ending part up he would never had put that.”

A shot of sorrow hit her like a raging bull. The one good friend she had made, and she had to act stupid.

“Oh c’mon Jinx. There was no moonlight at the Sady Hawkins Dance….you told me it was underground.” Great more stupidity.

She started to walk through the hall, passing Starfire’s and Beast Boy’s room, then she stopped in front of Raven’ room the door was half open.

“Jinx…..”

Cautiously she stepped into this strange room, avoiding unseen objects she traced her hand along the side of the wall searching for the light switch. After a minute of fumbling she gave up and used her powers but nothing happened.

“Jinx, if your in here I just want to say I’m sorry. I didn’t know he meant that much…” Shock continued to walk only guided by the light of the bright moon. Strange shadows bordered this room, and it was a strange object that she tripped over. Falling forward she landed on her hands and knees, slowly she looked up at a weird shaped horror mask. She yelped than scrambled to the other side of the room. When she reached it she saw a glimpse of lavender.

“Jinx.”

“Ha, you should have seen your face.” Jinx tossed the mask on Raven’s bed.

“You’re not mad?”

“No I heard your apology.” Shock wasn’t surprised, Jinx usually didn’t take things personally and if she did she would probably take it out on Gizmo later. Jinx stepped around a few misshapen objects and opened the closet. Anyone could explain Raven’s closet in two words. Blue. Robes.

“Wow…can anyone say blue?” Shock grabbed one of them and put it on, and Jinx studied her and shook her head.

“I don’t think that’s your style.” Jinx put one on, and yanked the hood up she waved her fingers at Shock. “Azzaarrathh Mettrionn Zinthos!”

“It’s not doing much for your style either.” She winked.

Mammoth’s head popped into the room and he raised an eyebrow.

“Um..you guys should come see this.”

woah... i really thought this chapter sucked..oh well your the critics!I've fallen prey to that thought too. Trust me; your "critics" are right.



The progression of your writing skills has grown exponentially. I’m quite pleased to finally get some time off so I could catch up on some of the fics here. Of course I had to post on yours first! I would have to say that your fight sequences are second to none. Character interaction has become some of the best I have read in a while. Also, you have developed a style that is truly your own. I’m glad to see you taking a direction with this fic that most other writers seem to ignore. The complex interactions of our favorite enemies and the people and places they encounter.



I only have one suggestion… post the rest of the chapter! :evil:

Figured I should let you know that I just read the first three chapters.

It's not bad. Some interesting ideas, including (of course) a new character.

However, you should work on your grammar a bit more. It's nothing big, it's just that I sometimes have to read a line of dialogue over again to understand HOW the character is supposed to be saying it.

"Face it we lost" should be written differently, to separate the two phrases.

"Face it: we lost," would probably be the correct way of doing it, I guess.

Just a peeve. Nothing more. Making sure your grammar is good is important because it helps the reader better understand how you try to say things, and it's also easier on the brain.

Of course, I don't even know when you wrote that, so, for all I know, you
ve already fixed that problem. After all, I've been writing my Teen Titans for 1.5 years now, and I'm sure my writing has changed quite a bit since.

Continue, at any rate.

ok sorry guys this took awhile and its really short! the next chapter is pretty long so it makes up for it.
I wasn't interested in this main part so i worked on the epilogue and parts of future chapters thats why i havent posted this for a while.

So here is the short but sweet end of chapter.

Robin took out his lock pick and fumbled with it. He heard the click that told him it was unlocked. Turning the handle and pushing Robin felt the door refuse opening. It was frozen shut. Backing up, while the Titans shot him a weird expression, he ran and kicked down the door. The titans then realized where they were.

“Dude how do you expect to get home if we’re at Chang’s hideout?” Robin ignored his comment and walked into the now dusty hideout.

“Friends I ask why are we in this place of “hiding out”? Do we not wish to fight?”

“Star, this is the way to get the tower back.” Robin muttered, searching for the power switch.

The rest of the Titans began to enter the pseudo home. Raven began to meditate with her legs crossed ignoring the situation.

“ROBIN the tower is this way!” Beast Boy pointed towards the direction of the tower. Robin ignored him once again, he found the switch. Fluorescent lights lit up the main room exposing barrels of some valuable substance to Professor Chang. The main computer burst into action, random numbers sped across the screen. Making his way towards the computer he started to explain his actions.

“Attacking HIVE head on won’t do any good. For all we know they could have more of those bombs which would put us in a whole new situation. We need to get them away from the tower. Someplace where they are vulnerable.” Robin began to type rapidly, while the titans made there way up to him to see what he was doing. “Cyborg you’re not going to come with us. You going to make you way back to the tower, and get back our security.”

“SAY WHAT!” Cyborg said furiously. “I should be kicking their butts with you!”

“You wont be much help if you cant fight. They won’t refuse a challenge. We’re going to fight them in the junk yard in the west of Jump City. Now quiet.”

Three dots blinked on the screen, they faded away and the faces of Shock and Jinx appeared on the screen.

“What do you want?” Jinx asked, Robin saw Shock pushing Gizmo’s head out of the screen.

“WE WANT OUR HOME!” Beast Boy yelled Robin glared at him which shut him up.

“That’s going to be hard, when were living in it.” This time it came from Shock.

“That’s why I called. The teen titans challenge you to a fight, whoever wins claims the tower.”

Jinx laughed, but a puzzled expression was on Shocks face.

“That’s it Robin? A fight and we win. I think we’ve already won.”

“WE’LL DO IT! WHERE AND WHEN BIRD BOY!” Gizmo appeared in between Shock and Jinx.

“Tomorrow at sunrise, in the junk yard, west of Jump City.”

“Fine…be prepared to lose.” Jinx muttered grinning and then the screen went blank.

This is a totaly new spin on Fan Fiction! It looks through the enemies eyes as well as those of the heroes. It is so well writen that you are actually able to sympathise with the "wrong" side!

Chapter 14- The Fight

"In the middle of a gunfight in the center of a resturant.

Shock felt a soft tap on the top of her head. She groaned then turned over. The tapping continued. Without opening her eyes she muttered. “Gizmo! Stop!”

“My name tis Jack not Gizmo. Who is this Gizmo you speak of?”

Realizing who was talking to her she quickly got up, and Jack remained perched on her head.

“If I may ask what are you doing in Robin’s room?”

Looking around she was in Robin’s room, the newspaper clippings covered the walls, and the small desk was decorated with birdarangs, half a bow-staff and other gadgets Robin was planning to use. She stood up from the small bed.

“Hey Jack I haven’t seen you in a while. I must have fallen asleep in here” She walked over to the desk and studied a birdarang. He flew over on to her shoulder. “Did Robin actually believe that you left me? I mean Robin’s not that stupid.”

“He as always had many doubts about me. But now really why would I leave you?”

“Don’t sound too excited about staying with me.” Her eyes scanned the desk, they passed over something familiar and then darted back to it. It was a photo that had been crumpled up. She unfolded it then pressed out the creases with the palm of her hand.

“Oh that’s nice Robin.” Shock tossed the photo back on the desk. It was faded picture from two years before the “fight” and before they left each other. In this framed memory Shock aka Ashley and Robin aka Dick were in formal clothes. Robin in baggy black jeans and a red t-shirt his hair was spiked up its full height. Shock had the same black hair minus the blue streak. Wearing tight fitted blue jeans and a light blue sweater Shock was seen giving Robin a friendly punch; they seemed to have shared a joke since they were booth smiling at each other. The past was the past.

“Now what did you expect Ashley?”

“Shut up and don’t call me that.”

“Why isn’t that your name?” His sarcasm was enough to make her hurt him but she didn’t. She just continued to walk through the door and into the main room where Jinx, Gizmo, and Mammoth waited.

“You know what Jack? You should go make sure Robin isn’t planning on tricking us.” She brushed him off her shoulder and he flew away. “Let’s do this.”

The fog covered Robin’s field of vision but he could see well enough to know that he was centered in the middle of the junk yard. Trash surrounded them and to the left a bulldozer was left untouched and ready to use. The sun still hadn’t risen but you could see light barely skimming the horizon.

“Titans spread out. When HIVE gets here they’ll be together, that way we’ll have the advantage of attacking them.”

“Dude how are we suppose to attack them if we can’t see through this fog?”

“There is only one entrance Beast Boy.”

“Riiiggght…”

Without further waiting the titans separated placing themselves in different spots surrounding the entrance. Beast Boy was across from Raven he gave her too thumbs up and she gave him a roll of the eyes. Raven heard Robin talking on his communicator to someone. Cyborg Raven thought they must be coming now. Her hands were covered in black energy as she got ready to fight. The sun began to hang low in the sky giving everything a light glow. Beast Boy shouted out from beside a broken dryer.

“Robin you said SUNRISE! You know I need my beauty-” Beast Boy was cut off by Jinx jumping in front of him and sending a hex right at his stomach. He got up from being thrown back and rubbed his head.

“Surprise.”

“Beast Boy!” Raven used her powers to pick up two refrigerators and sent them flying at each other with Jinx in the middle.

“Don’t just stand there MOVE!” Shock ran by and grabbed Jinx away as the refrigerators crashed into each other.

“Thanks” Jinx muttered, as they separated trying to dodge the oncoming starbolts. The starbolts seemed to be coming from somewhere beyond the layer of fog. While running away Shock was hit by one in the shoulder and tumbled right underneath Robin.

“Titans go!” He ignored Shock and jumped over her to throw three birdarangs at Gizmo mechanical wings. Shock stood up.

“Come back and fight me!” But Robin already disappeared into fog.

All three birdarangs lodged in one of the wings. They immediately folded back into the backpack. Gizmo smiled as he tossed a disk in between Robin and him. The disk exploded and several holographic Gizmos appeared. Robin took out his bow-staff while the real Gizmo hid behind a pile of rubble where he could fix his broken wings.

Jinx continued to run away from the following Raven and Beast Boy. She moved quickly behind an old car hidden from their view. She didn’t know what to do. She knew she could probably take them on but there could be more of them hidden. She noticed another old rusty car perched at the top of a hill of junk. It moved back and forth as if on a teeter totter. It was located right above Beast Boy and Raven. Jinx ran towards in until she was at the back of the pile. Looking up towards the vehicle she hit it with a small hex that made it tip right over the edge. A loud screech was heard by all the titans particularly Beast Boy and Raven. Raven stopped the car with her powers but as she looked started to release the car Jinx jumped in and punched her. Beast Boy transformed into a bear and lunged at Jinx. She backed away slowly and then ran right up to the bear. With her hands out at the bears stomach she quickly created a large lavender hex that sent Beast Boy into the rusted old car. Transformed back into himself Beast Boy rubbed his head.

“Why can’t you guys give it a rest!” He transformed into a ram and charged after Jinx.

Shock noticed Raven levitate after Jinx so she began to silently chase Raven. Getting ready to attack Raven she was interrupted by Mammoth.

“Shock! A little help here!” Mammoth yelled cupping his hands around his mouth making his voice travel even farther. She looked over squinting through the fog. Shock saw what he was pointing at, a bulldozer. Shock raised her hand and it shined blue, the bulldozer obediently started up, then she ran after Raven into the fog.

Mammoth started to randomly hit piles of junk. One of the junk piles had fallen on top of Robin. After he saw what was happen he realized he couldn’t control the bulldozer. I might hit one of my team members Mammoth desperately thought.

Robin had began to dig himself out piece by piece and when he reached the bottom he saw that he had stepped into a deformed metal framing belonging to an ancient machine. He tried to pull his foot out but it refused to budge. Right then Robin felt the most helpless.

Meanwhile Mammoth was fumbling around in the bulldozer looking for the break but he couldn’t find it. He jumped out onto a worn out sofa, and let out a sigh of relief. The bulldozer disappeared into the fog. He was glad that was over. Now, it was now speeding towards Robin. Robin squirmed and when he realized that he couldn’t get his foot out of the rubble he moved into his kung fu pose and got ready for impact. He looked around to see if any of his team members were there to help him, but he was disappointed to see that he couldn’t perceive any of his friends through the misty fog. Robin waited for what seemed like minutes but was really seconds as the bulldozer got closer and closer. As he got ready he felt someone push him out of the way. As he looked at his foot he realized it was bare. Why didn’t I think of that before? He scolded himself. Robin heard a screech. Then he turned back to the bulldozer and saw that it had stopped farther than he had stood and a figure that was lying limp near the crunched metal that had trapped Robin. He stood up and put his boot back on, he began to walk over to the body. As he got closer he started to realize who it was, and his mind shunned the idea of it. Just to make sure he wasn’t hallucinating he began to turn the person over so he could see their face. Even though the fog clouded his vision he clearly saw the person smile up at him then faint.

It was Shock who had saved him.

He picked her up, and then ran over to Starfire, who had stunned Gizmo with one of her eye blasts.

“Star get the rest of the titans we’re going back to the tower.”

“Are you positive that is the right decision?”

“Star…” He wasn’t sure at all, but he knew one thing for sure Shock was the one that saved him. “I’m sure.”

He ran towards the entrance and left the junk yard still debating if it really was Shock who saved him. Even if it wasn’t the best idea. If she was away from HIVE it would be easier for him to sort this out. Robin used the T- Car to get home. He placed Shock in the passenger side and no time during the ride did she wake up. While driving Robin noticed a large bump forming above her right eye. He figured that was probably from being hit by a bulldozer. Why had he been so stupid? Did he want he want this to happen? What if it was him who had got hit? And the one main question. Why had she saved him?

Robin brought Shock up to the tower and found Cyborg fixing what Gizmo hadn’t; the front door.

“What is she doing here?”

“Cyborg she saved me.” He said while stepping over a broken security panel.

“Still Robin. She’s the enemy” He said following him in.

Robin made his way to the couch and placed Shock down. Her glasses had snapped in half and were hanging loosely on her face. Robin pulled them off and tossed them on the table. She’s not going to be happy about that he thought.

“Great Robin. The next thing ya’ll see is her taking old Cy for a ride.” Cyborg said frustrated, he returned back to the door mumbling under his breath. Raven entered the tower, followed by Beast Boy. They both walked over to Robin’s side.

“Dude you left in the MIDDLE OF THE FIGHT!”

“I know Beast Boy but I had to bring her back here.”

Beast Boy gasped.

“Robin you do know who that is right?” Raven said.

“It’s better if she stays here that with HIVE. About HIVE where are they did they follow you?”

“No. There back at the junk yard searching for her.” Raven said.

Starfire flew in as Shock began to stir, the titans all looked closer as she came to.

“ACK!” Shock fell off the couch on her hands and knees. She looked up at the titans with wide eyes.

“Greetings! Old friend of Robin!” Starfire approached Shock with open arms but Shock backed up.

“Robin who?”

“Ashley give it up already.” Robin said sighing.

“Give what up? Who’s Ashley? Who are you people and why does my head hurt.” Shock was completely oblivious to her surroundings. “I’m so lost.”

“Dude! She doesn’t remember anything!”

Raven walked up to Shock and raised her hand up to Shocks forehead avoiding the bump. Raven closed her eyes and entered Shock’s mind. All she found was confusion.

“She’s telling the truth.”

Surprisingly Robin was glad that Shock had lost her memory.

“So who are you people again?” Shock said with a puzzled expression on her face.

I've read lots of posts on these boards and you seem to be the one who just knows how to make someone happy cause when i first logged on I was thinking about not writing anymore of this fic because it hasnt been getting that many reviews. Then i saw that some people have been reading but just haven't replied except Matt.
Now i know some people are busy with school and such. Im not any different i have 7 exams coming up fast. But there are alot of Fanfictions on this board who haven't been getting any feedback. Take PC's fic for example he got alot of replies but no one voted for him for the Hall of Fame. I for one thought his fic was amazing. When i first read it i added him to my msn list immediately and we became friends and we still are. He feels the same way about the replies too.

I know i should'nt say anything i mean it is your opinion. But just think about it..

Take PC's fic for example he got alot of replies but no one voted for him for the Hall of Fame. I for one thought his fic was amazing. When i first read it i added him to my msn list immediately and we became friends and we still are. He feels the same way about the replies too.Yeah... I had writen a great reply and I must of hit the preview button instead of the submit button. Feh... darn computers...

But anyways... Yeah really! Where the heck is everybody? I swear... Mya and I have been friends for a long time now and I always read her stuff. I'm just glad you keep posting. Most people would have given up if they recived the lack of posts on their story. But I, for one... am glad you keep it up. You have more fans than you know. I just hope they come here and let you know.

Seriously though, I have this little "policy" when it comes to reading stuff on World's Finest:

1. If someone has commented on my work, I will comment on theirs. I will do my utmost to give all my readers that treatment, no matter how long it takes (even "Winds Of Fate", which has taken me three months and counting...). After all, the least I can do is return the favour to people...
2. To comment on every chapter of every story that I read, even if I can't think of anything more informative then "this is cool, keep going". Even if I haven't said anything particularly deep and meaningful, at least the writer knows that I'm still paying attention.

That's why I get about so much. It's as simple as that.;)

Wow..i havent posted in like a YEAR!... ok not really but you get the idear. So heres how it went down gangster style yo:p I went to a place called Port Elgin filled with bunnies and deer and fish...really! it was cool...yo. And it was suppose to be for two weeks but me and my mom left early cause she didnt like it there at all. So then i come back here and im like man i should write but then i didnt and we went on another trip. Then i kept putting it off and off and offf..hey look a PENNY! :eek: But yeah so now its done...YO!

Chapter 15- One thing.

"I've been dealing with something thats worse than these

Still looking puzzled Shock studied each of the titans.

“So who are you again? And why does my head hurt?” She lightly rubbed her head, and then gazed down at her pants. “And why am I so dirty?”

It was a custom to let Starfire introduce newcomers, and it wasn’t as if any others were planning to do the job.

“We are the Teen Titans. I am Starfire of Tamaran! It is most glorious to see you again!”

“Wait Star! You know her?” Beast Boy asked.

“Yes…” Starfire bowed her head in guilt. “This is the thief who vowed to be my friend if I let her escape.”

“The chip thief...” Robin said glumly. His first guess at the identity of the thief was Red X. But during his investigation at the scene of the crime he saw no actual “red x” anywhere, just the semi-unconscious guards and broken robots.

“Wait a minute, so I’m a thief, and you’re the Teen Titans but that doesn’t explain the questions I asked earlier.”

Raven summed up what had happened…half the truth, and the half she didn’t know she had made up. Raven also lied about a lot of things, like the part about Shock being a member of HIVE. She thought it would be for the better. Robin would probably tell her the whole truth later.

“You still don’t remember anything?” Robin asked.

“Nada.”

“Titans.” Robin said as he beckoned them into the kitchen area.

The titans followed Robin into the kitchen area, but they stayed in view of Shock. Just in case.

“This could be used as an advantage to us.” Robin had lowered his voice down to a whisper. “If she’s away from the rest of her team it will be easier for us to take them down.”

“Robin…” Raven said making her voice even lower. “As much as I would like having our newest enemy living with us, something could happen, something bad.”

“Yeah Robin. Something bad like her messing with my circuits again!” Cyborg looked back at Shock who was just staring at the titans blankly.

“Dude why did you even bring her back? And how can you lose you memory from getting hit in the head? I’ve been hit in the head a lot of times.”

“And that’s what makes you so smart Beast Boy.” Raven sarcastically said crossing her arms, and rolling her eyes in one whole motion. “It’s amnesia.”

“It doesn’t matter anymore, she’s here and it’s better for us if she stays away from them.”

Beast Boy suddenly looked surprised. “DUDE! You know what today is?!”

“No.” The rest of the titans said each raising an eyebrow.

“December 21! Robin you promised we could go to the mall for Christmas shopping if we got the tower back. And where are we? The TOWER!”

“Ugh…” Raven muttered.

“That’s a great idea Beast Boy.” Robin said with a wide grin on his face.

“WHAT?” Cyborg yelled.

“Robins got a point. After HIVE is done searching they’ll come here. We can avoid a fight if were at the mall and it will be the last place they would think to go.”

“You gotta be kidding me.” Cyborg said sighing.

“This will be most enjoyable! We shall go partake in the shopping of the mall!”

“YES! Oh I’ve got everything picked out!” Beast Boy said rubbing his hands together.

“This is going to be fun…” Raven said groaning.

The ride to the mall wasn’t eventful at all. Beast Boy never once tried to get anyone to laugh at one of his stupid jokes. Of course everyone couldn’t fit in the T-car, so Cyborg, BB, Raven, Starfire and Shock went in it and Robin took his R-cycle.

Cyborg was focused on driving and on cleaning out the garbage left from Jinx, Gizmo and Mammoth. Beast Boy was gazing wide eyed at all the stuff Shock had taken out of her pockets.

“How did you fit all that in there!?”

“I really…don’t know.” Mixed in with all the stuff was her HIVE communicator. She picked it up and then looked at Raven’s communicator resting on her belt. “Why is mine different from yours? Mine has an H and yours has a T, and I’m guessing T stands for Teen titans but what does H stand for?”

Beast Boy took his communicator out then took Shock’s. He placed them together so it was “HT” but then fixed them so it was “TH”

“Dude we just need an “E” communicator then we can spell “THE”” Beast Boy had a big smile on his face, as if he had accomplished something.

“At least now we know BB can spell “the”.”

Shock shook her head smiling. Beast Boy turned and glared at Raven, and then he saw her hand was motioning for him to give her the communicator. He placed it in her hand, and the owner staring oddly at someone familiar…someone with lavender hair.

~Meanwhile~

Jinx had seen the R-cycle and T- car zoom by, and she had guessed at where they were headed. But she didn’t know why they were going to the mall of all places. Jinx walked back to the hideout and grabbed a winter hat and a coat, not much but it would be enough to hide her from public, and keep her warm. As she stepped outside she felt a cold crisp breeze blow by her. She zipped up her coat to save the warmth that was left from inside. Jinx started to walk down the street in the direction of the mall. She stuffed her hands in the pockets of the coat and pulled out her communicator. She called Gizmo and told him to meet her at the mall pronto. They were going to find out what Shock was up to.

When Jinx walked closer to the mall she could make out Gizmo’s short stature leaning up against a pole. He was still wearing his usual attire, and glared at Jinx when she approached him. She raised an eyebrow.

“What are you looking at?”

“This is a stupid time to be shopping!”

“I’m not shopping Gizmo. I found Shock.”

“At the mall!?”

“Yes. At the mall.” Jinx pointed to the T-car.

“She’s with the stinking Titans!”

“That’s what it looks like.” Jinx and Gizmo walked up the steps to the entrance.

The titans broke off into separate pairs this way they could shop quicker. The mall was packed with busy people. They seemed to be too pre occupied carrying packages of all sizes out the door to realize that the town’s hero’s had just walked through the door. The teen titan’s liked it that way. Robin took Starfire, Beast Boy went with Cyborg, and Raven hesitantly took Shock.

The two passed by an electronics store where Jinx and Gizmo were pretending to look at items.

“Something has to be wrong. Why would she go with them?”

“Maybe it’s one of her stupid plans.” Gizmo said while fumbling with one of the remote control cars.

Jinx answered her own question. “Something is different about her I just can’t tell what.” She squinted her eyes trying to get a better view of Shock. “Let’s move closer.”

Raven was reading one of the articles about H.I.V.E and there recent attacks, while Shock was standing nearby watching little kids line up to sit with the Santa.

Gizmo walked up to Shock but he was hidden behind one of the fake Christmas trees. Raven turned to Shock.

“Stay there ok? Ill be right over here.” Raven pointed into the bookstore.

“Sure.” Shock replied.

Gizmo decided this was his chance to speak up, in his own way.

“You dimwit! Going into enemy territory is the stupidest thing you could have done! Is this another one of your stupid plans?!”

Shock looked down at Gizmo puzzled. Then she pulled a dollar bill out of her pocket, then took Gizmo’s hand and placed it in it.

“Here you go kid. Why don’t you go buy yourself some candy?” She then slowly walked towards Raven casting another curious look back at Gizmo. Jinx had to stop Gizmo from yelling out mean names, she dragged him over to the line of children.

“Now we know there’s something wrong with her. She would have at least told us what she was going to do. I guess well just have to wait it out.” Jinx sighed.

Raven had been watching and gave Shock a strange look.

“What? He walked up to me…Raven…what is that?”

Shock had turned and was looking out at the crowd gathered around the Santa. They were all looking up at a part of the ceiling that was glowing red.

“That’s not normal.”

“No kidding.” Raven pulled Shock outside the store, and pulled her over so she could get a better look. People had started to yell and were rushing to get out of the mall. Where the red glow had been coming from a robotic arm had crashed through the wall sending dust and debris flying everywhere. Raven and Shock covered there mouths as they entered toward where the hand had disappeared. Raven was a hero and couldn’t just stand there.

Raven saw a blue beam fly through the dust and hit something, she then heard Robin’s voice yell out.

“Cyborg look out!”

Raven turned to Shock. “Stay here and don’t move. Oh, and try not to get in the way of that thing.”

Her hands were engulfed in black energy, as she disappeared. They heard crashes and bangs come from within the dust. Jinx and Gizmo also saw or should I say heard what was happening. They had gotten a good look at what had come out through the wall before it had decided to start destroying things. It was truly tall just barely glazing the ceiling. It had one arm that had formed into machine gun; the other was just metal that continued to change its shape. The mech was covered in grey-ish plates that were able to deflect Cyborg’s sonic cannon, Starfire’s starbolts, and Robin’s bird-a-rangs. Its legs were able to shift and move, so it could easily avoid confrontation.

“What is this…thing?” Starfire said to Robin as she fired starbolt’s at its arm. It ricocheted back and barely missed Cyborgs head. Beast Boy turned into a rhino and ran at the machine, but all he did was hit it and then stumble back and hit it again. The machine took no notice, it seemed to be looking for some thing. Raven tossed one of the large pieces of debris with her telekinetic powers. It fired its machine gun at it reducing it to dust. It then turned to Cyborg and fired not bullet but a small metallic disc. It latched on and Cyborg fell to the floor.

“Cyborg!” BB yelled.

Robin took out three discs then tossed them at the mech. They latched on and blinked. Then covered the machines weak points with ice. It immobilized, the titans relaxed. Then it sprang to life, sending shards of ice flying everywhere. It’s created a metal plate and swung it at the titans, the plate came in contact with Starfire and Raven. They had tried to use there powers to stop it but it had seemed to absorb them and gain speed. Robin and Beast Boy had dodged it, but on it second time around it had hit the titan leader. Beast Boy changed into a t-rex and charged at the mech. It fired an electric net that encased Beast Boy.

It then turned and looked down ominously at Shock, whose eyes were feared with dread. Its robotic voice filled the empty silence.

“I have a message for you, Ashley.”

That returning chapter, I must say, was well and truly gangsta (sorry, I couldn't resist). Shock's amnesia has just been utilised to outstanding comedic effect - her giving Gizmo the dollar bill nearly had me rolling on the floor with laughter - but not at the expense of removing the mystery from it (ie, can she be trusted now? I'm not sure, and I kinda like it that way). And speaking of which...what's the deal with the robot? Either way, it means more of the unknowns that I like so much...;):anime::anime::anime:

That was a great chapter, it appears lots of us are coming back with a bang these days. And you certainly came back with a bang (plus an evil, EVIL cliffhanger :mad: ). I agree with Matt, the amnesia is a hilarious touch. My favorite part was the one with dollar bill and Gizmo. That was hilarious!! :anime: But evil, evil, evil, evil, EVIL cliffhanger. :mad: :mad: :mad: EVIL!!!

well...the next chapter mates. AND might i add I got floor tickets for My Chemical Romance!!! :D They rock!! Anyways, this chapter was a little bit on the iffy side for me, and it was a bit hard to write...It doesnt serve justice to what i had in mind but i guess its ok.
Here Goes.


Chapter 16 - Memories

"And she was just like I remember (just like I remember)

Robin got up, his head was throbbing. Little white specks clouded his vision, but he did however see Jinx and Gizmo jogging away. Right now he would give anything to just get an aspirin but right now there were more important things to be done. He ran over to Cyborg and tore off the metallic disk. Immediately Cyborg’s eye opened, he stood up. He looked dumbfounded.

“First your girlfriend. Now this thing! I’m SERIOUSLY going to have to do something about this.”

Robin glared at him. “Do it later. We have to stop this thing before it causes anymore damage.”

Slowly, Robin made his way through the dust, until he saw the robot’s claw reaching down towards Shock. He told Cyborg to round up the others, and then do a full fledged attack. Robin started to sprint.

“Ashley MOVE!” He yelled. Jumping into the air Robin swiftly took out his bo-staff, and in record time shoved it into the claw.

“Move!”

A younger Robin jumped out and shoved and equally young Shock away from a giant robot claw.

“Why aren’t my powers working?!”

“That doesn’t matter right now! Get the people out of the way!!” Robin yelled pointing behind Shock.

“Right!” Shock ran in the other direction, towards a small crowd of people.

The robot turned to Shock. “You know what to do”

Robin slid into view of the robot. “Yeah, beat you.” He took his bo-staff out and whacked the top of the fire hydrant, it exploded with water.

Robin jumped off the robot. Its claw was pinned to the floor by Robins bo-staff. He had fought this machine before, and so had Shock. He let go of her, then stared into her eyes. “You remember the robot?”

“Just that.”

That was the breaking point for Robin. He knew that she would soon start to remember bits and pieces. Then eventually everything would come back. But for now that’s what he knew she remembered.

“Stay over here. Unless you’re going to fight.”

“Water. It’s the water.”

“Don’t worry I didn’t forget.” With a flash of a smile he proceeded off back into the fight. He met up Cyborg who was using his sonic cannon to slow down the robot. Starfire was firing a beam of energy at it alongside Cyborg. Black energy covered the robots only useable arm, holding it down from attacking. Beast boy, in gorilla form was

“Raven!” Robin shouted. He began to take out three birdarangs. “The robots weakness is water!”

Robin latched onto the robots arm and used the birdarangs to slice the thin metal open. He had fought this type of robot before and the reason it was so quick to move was because of the thin metal that plated the arms and only the arms. Robin dug his hand into the field of wires and searched for the thickest one.

“Now!” He yanked his arm too quickly and a jagged piece of metal sliced his arm. He jumped away and quickly held his arm to prevent more bleeding.

“Right.” Raven used her powers and pulled one of the main water pipes out. She aimed the water at its main weakness. As soon as the water met the wires there was an explosion of sparks, and the robot slowly began to stop moving. Eventually all the power had shut down and the teen titans were left victorious.

“Boo yah!” Cyborg gave BB a high five.

“Glorious! We have defeated the very large mechanical device!”

“How did you know about the water Robin?” Raven asked. Shock was waiting patiently behind her.

“I fought one exactly like it in Gotham. It was much smaller though.”

“Dude! Look at your arm!” Robin gazed down and really noticed the cut; it was almost from his wrist to his elbow. And it’s always after you see it that it hurts. The pain shot up his arm and down his spine, and he barely hid it from his face. But Starfire noticed.

“Oh Robin! Are you in pain?”

“I’m okay Star. But we should get back to the tower.”

After a while of arguing Starfire allowed Robin to take the R-cycle in spite of his injury. They made it home in good time. Cyborg set off to finish work on Gizmo’s mistake. Raven went into the kitchen and put the kettle on for some tea. Shock pulled up a chair and quietly asked for some too. Raven understood that she was thinking about what she had remembered and what it had to do with the robot. Beast Boy had fallen asleep on the couch as soon as they had got home and was snoring peacefully. And of course, Starfire insisted on taking Robin to the infirmary.

“What exactly did you remember?” Raven asked while pouring the tea.

“I…don’t really know. I mean it’s not possible to know what is your past if you don’t remember what your past actually is right?”

Raven brought the tea over to the table and sat down.

“Depends, I think that certain things will bring back certain memories.” She paused “But I also think that part of you doesn’t want to remember, but then most of you does. That’s why you only got a little clip of your past.”

Shock took a sip out of her tea. It was warm, and made her feel calm. It seemed to relax all her limbs, that was probably why Raven drank it so often. Raven came to the conclusion, as Robin did, that she was going to remember all of it in due time. They needed a plan. Raven picked up the front page of the newspaper. On it she saw a familiar group of people.

“Looks like they already have us on the paper.” Raven muttered. She laid the newspaper down on the table. Shock glanced at it. Titans regain Tower: Once again. Something in Shocks eyes had changed Raven noticed they had gone paler blue as if she was in a trance.

“The titans think there all that. Look at them!” Shock laid a finger on one of the pictures. She was reading the JumpCity newspaper. On it the Teen Titans stood proudly watching a cuffed Mumbo being led away. “UGH! It makes me sick!”

Jinx smiled, watching as she crumpled the paper up and tossed it perfectly into the bathroom trashcan.

“You know we could be heroes like them if we really wanted to.”

“Don’t tell me your going soft.” Jinx finished styling her hair in the mirror, then turned to her. Shock was leaning up against the bathroom wall tracing a small scar on her palm.

“Nope…well I hope not, cause that would really screw our plan.” Shock stood up and stretched. They both exchanged smiles. “It’d be cool to get more attention though.”

“Yeah, but if you think about it villains have much more fun then the mighty teen titans.”

Shock stood up from her chair.

“What did you re-” Raven was cut off by Shock.

“I’ll be right back.” She walked away and started to head for the infirmary.

The titans had given her a short tour of the tour before leaving on there escapade to the mall. She remembered where the infirmary had been, and seeing Starfire float by worry stricken was just reassurance that she was going in the right direction. She looked up and saw the small metal plate that read Infirmary above the door. Stepping into the infirmary was like stepping into a freezer. Her body lost all sense of the comforting tea. She saw Robin fumbling with the cohesive bandage. He couldn’t get it to stay in one place. The boy wonder couldn’t do everything right. He looked up from his entanglement.

“Hi.”

“Hi Robin.” She walked over and sat down on the cold bed. “I’ve been thinking, and I just wanted to ask you something.”

“Shoot.” Robin threw away the tangled bandage and grabbed another roll.

“I’ll help.” She took the roll and started to wrap his arm. “I’m not going to like you when I remember am I?”

“You remembered something else didn’t you?” Robin sighed. “Or are you lying again?”

“Lying? Ha. Wouldn’t I have tried to escape?” She grinned. “I am not lying, all I remember is that robot fight, and…”

Shock drifted off, she knew it wouldn’t be wise to say she remembered staying with Jinx.

“I think something else when I was really young. Anyways, I got my answer.”

She finished wrapping his arm.

“I’ll try not to forget how nice you were to me.”

Robin couldn’t help but smile.

“I think you should try remembering how nice you’re being to me.” Robin said, he couldn’t help but wonder if she would ever be this kind to him again. He erased this though quickly from his mind; she would never act like this. This was the unknowing Ashley. Once she remembered it would be Shock. A whole different person for a whole lot of reasons.

“Can I come in?” Raven had followed Shock down to the infirmary to see what she was up to.

“Can I come in?” Robin asked poking his head into the hospital room

“Yeah, of course Robin”

Shock was sitting in a chair near the hospital bed. In it her brother lay unconscious; the monitors constant beeping filled the silence.

“What was wrong with him Robin? How could he hurt him?” Her eyes shifted from Robin to her brother.

“Your dad is dead.” Robin pulled up a chair and sat next to her. “And you couldn’t have changed it even if you did get home in time.”

“I just…” She waited “The officer told me what happened before I came home. It could have been me lying there, and it should have been me. I stayed at your house longer than I was supposed to.” The silence ticked on.

“I’m so sorry. I should have gone with you home.”

“That’s the hundredth time I’ve heard ’I’m sorry’, but yours was the only one I wanted to hear.”

Raven and Robin were both staring at Shock. She had done it again, she had that distant look. But as soon as it disappeared, she looked horribly depressed.

“Are you ok?” They both said.

“I think so.” Raven and Robin both exchanged anxious looks.

“JINX! JINX! Look at this!” Gizmo was jumping up and down and pointing at the TV screen. Jinx appeared, and looked at the screen. “She’s with the scum guzzling idiots!”

“Is that? It can’t be. We saw her at the mall, but she wouldn’t…” Jinx leaned in closer to get a better view of the T.V. On the news was the earlier fight between the titans and the robot. Gizmo and Jinx had left to early to even see the titans beat it.

“Yep it is.” Mammoth mumbled while squinting his eyes. “That’s Shock alright.”

“But she’s helping them.” Jinx said in disbelief. “It looks like she help’s bird boy find out how to beat it.”

“WHAT A JERK!” Gizmo yelled. “After all we did for her!”

“She’s wouldn’t just leave like that. She would say something.” Jinx let out a sigh.

“No Jinx. For once I think Gizmo’s right.” Mammoth said before he left the room.

“She fooled us! They fooled us! She was just like Cyborg!”

Jinx thought about everything that had happened, trying to piece it all together. The conversations they had about HIVE academy and what happened with Cyborg/Stone. How she had said over and over again, that this was her team, and she liked being a villain.

Was it all a lie?

Jinx eye’s flashed bright pink, and the window exploded. Shards of glass spread across the living room floor. She turned around and headed for the hallway.

“She lied to us. She’ll regret this.”

It was 12:34 am and most of the titans had gone to bed. The only ones that were still awake were Robin and Shock. Robin was only still up incase she remembered anything important, but so far nothing. They were watching TV for quite some time now. Robin was aimlessly changing the channels, for over a hundred channels there wasn’t much on. The other however was slowly dozing off, her head kept dropping then pulled up again. He turned off the TV.

“It’s late, you need your rest Ashley.”

“You’ll need your rest. If you want to accomplish what were doing tomorrow.” Once again he appeared in the fading grey room, his silhouette outlined by the light that escaped from the hallway.

“Ronan you know this won’t go on forever. I’ll find away to stop what you’re doing or he will.” She clenched her fists.

“That’s what you think.” He pressed the button, the door closed and she heard the soft click of the lock. She was stuck in here for another night.

She stood up and yawned, she was too tired to even care what that memory meant. Robin brought Shock to Terra’s old room and gave her a pair of black shorts and Raven had given her a blue t-shirt. He wished her good night then set off to his room. He rubbed his arm while walking and remembered “I’m not going to like you when I remember am I?” Robin heaved a sigh. I’m sorry but you aren’t he replied to her distant question. He couldn’t stop her from remembering and he knew she was bound to remember…Sooner than he thought.

well well well. this chapter turned out VERY different then I thought it would...very different. But here it is! In all its glory and its awe and its gangsterness...

Chapter 18- Awake in a dream.
"Now here I am, but I'm just sleepwalking
Yes here I stand
But I guess I'm just sleeptalking for myself
Now could it be maybe
It's not me sleeping
Could it be maybe you awakening"
Sleepwalking. Blindside.


She was standing in an open field. Hills that stretched as far as your eye could see. The horizon was just a divider that seperated a pale grass from a creepy grey sky. A cold breeze blew back and forth making the grass sway with it.

Without a choice, her foot stepped forward then the other. She began to walk. The hill began to smooth out transforming into a wide open space.

Not again.

Continuing to walk, she saw a figure laying in the grass when she reached the person her view shifted down towards his face.

“Jared.”

He stood up and dusted off his pants. The clothes he wore seemed old and tarnished. They were torn in several places and covered in dirt. Cuts and bruises covered his face.

“Why? Why would you do it? I…I don’t understand.” His voice echoed and then slowly he started to fade.

“Just wait.” But he had disappeared completely, she was left staring at the gray sky. “I never meant to hurt you.”

She sat up quickly in bed, the blankets lay crumpled at the foot of her bed which seemed longer than usual. Shock slid off the edge of the bed and started to walk towards the door. She had stayed with Jinx, Gizmo, and Mammoth long enough that she knew that there was three steps than the door. So there was no need for the lights.

Step.

Step.

Wall.

“Ouch.”

Stumbling back she rubbed her eyes. Was she still sleeping? But she had felt the wall. Oh she had felt it. This was not normal, but hey what was normal now?

Shock wanted badly to go back to sleep, but she knew that after that dream she never did. Something about it seemed to always bring the memories rushing back. And when ever she closed her eyes she would see his face, just a distant ghost.

Slowly she guided her hands down the wall. This was silly; anyone with her ability would just turn on the lights. Without the need to even find the switch. But again, after that dream she didn’t use her powers for a while.

Letting out a sigh she found a button, then she found a door. No doorknob. This was really getting weird. Gizmo added one of his gadgets that’s all. Pressing the button the door hissed open. The hallway was filled with darkness. But ahead she saw a dim light. Maybe somebody was up before her. Hoping that Jinx was up she stumbled towards the kitchen area.

Shock stared glumly, someone had just left the light on. She immediately made her way to the fridge, and took out the jug of milk. Things seemed different. Shock paused with the glass in her hand, she swore she heard something. But the light was too dim to show much and she was too lazy to turn on another. After a brief yawn she took a gulp of her drink.

“Couldn’t wait till morning to see me, could ya?” Beast Boy was sitting up on the counter, eating a tofu sandwich. His one sided grin barely noticeable in the dull light.

Shock’s eyes widened, she backed up and dropped her glass. The glass shattered and the milk covered a vast area of the tile floor. Beast boy’s smile faded and an anxious look appeared on his face.

“Oh…my….god.”

The light above them burst. It all clued in.

“You remember!?”

The rest of the lights switched on in the kitchen/dining room. Shock looked around amazed. In a jerky fashion she pinched her arm.

“Oh my god…” Her hands formed into fists, and she felt that tingling sensation in the fingertips as her hands lit up the area around her with a blue glow.

“Uh…. ROBIN!” BB raised his hands out. “Just wait a minute… I was only joking.”

“I am so leaving.” She turned around and then looked at herself for the first time since she woke up. She was wearing black shorts, socks, and a blue t-shirt. “Where’s my stuff!”

And enter the titans. Robin was the first to come in and immediately he knew the situation. Raven and Starfire came next. Cyborg walked out of the hall way.

“You do know what time it is?” Cyborg then saw the expression on Shock’s and the rest of the titans faces.

Shock turned to him.

“You.” She pointed to him and Cy started to back up slowly. “Freeze”

“What was that for?! I didn’t even try to attack you! I told ya’ll this was gonna happen.” Cyborg shouted. Shock just smiled, the turned to Robin.

“Give me my stuff.”

Robin thought about it. “No.”

“Where are they? My boots, my glasses, my clothes?”

“Well your glasses are…” Beast boy started.

“You want them back? I suggest you listen, and listen carefully.” Robin stepped up to Shock. “Your stuff is locked up. Somewhere you’ll never find it without me. Look around Ashley. You’re not on top anymore, you’re at the very bottom, in our home and out numbered by three. I know you’ll probably try anyways but if you take a look at the front and back doors they’re not that mechanical anymore. Each one in fact has a built in combination padlock, which would mean that if you somehow beat us there would be no way for you to get out, unless you had the combination. Either way, you’re not leaving.”

“WHAT!?” Cyborg and Shock both said dumbfounded, this was news to all the titans.

“Unless your going to try and leave dressed like that?” Robin smirked, it was -10 degrees outside, snow and ice. He knew he had won.

And that was when Shock gave Robin the death glare.

“So friends! Now that that information has been made clear, shall we enjoy the morning food?” Starfire chirped in trying to wing the mood. She then slid in between Shock and Robin who were now having a glaring contest. “I will start by making the waffles!”

Shock’s glare was wiped of her face, and a look of sickness came over her. Cyborg backed up into the wall.

“Sweet! I can move again!”

“Ugh…I think I’m going to be sick…really sick.” Her hand snapped up, covering her mouth. “I…uh…where…”

Shock sprinted down the hall and out of there sight.

“Yeah…she drank Beast Boy’s soy milk.” Raven smiled pointing to the jug of milk.

“That’s not all BB.” Cy muttered smiling he handed it to Beast Boy.

Beast Boy looked in awe at the jug of Soy milk. It was 3 months spoiled.

Muchos comedy genius there. The protracted riff on Shock - now with memory fully re-installed - not knowing where she really was provided for some fairly sadistic humour, in that "it's-all-gonna-go-really-wrong-when-she-finds-out-the-truth" kinda way. We also get to see Robin be even more of an arsehole than he usually manages to be, in just as sadistic-comedy style...and let's not forget the "soya milk" punchline, which was random but highly amusing (mostly 'cause it's a perfect BB moment). I'm guessing that the Robin/Shock war is very much back on, which will make for some kick-arse storyness if nothing else. So it's all good.;) :anime: :evil:

Chapter 19-Friendship

Things were so wrong. All her plans completely backfired. But who was to blame?

Me.

Shock was traveling through the medicine cabinet looking for something to wrap her hand in. She hadn’t been thinking straight and had tried to break the glass window. The titans, however, were thinking straight and had reinforced every window in the tower so it wasn’t so easy to break it. Though on the second time she had cracked it. On the third it broke, but it also cut the top of her hand. And the sound brought the titans running. She swore under her breathe. They left eventually once she had realize that she was on the second floor.

Shock’s sickness had passed with the coming of the need to leave. She had to talk to Jinx, if they found out that she was here they would suspect things she didn’t want them to suspect.

Then again they already had things to suspect. She saved Robin, and now she didn’t know why she had done it. That was it simply put. Now she was stuck here for who knows how long.

She shook her head in disgust I royally screwed this up, nice going Shock.

Shock heard a soft knock at the door. She knew who is was, and so she didn’t reply. Starfire had been knocking every five minutes with the hope that she was coming out.

“Go. Away.”

“I think its time you came out.” It was Robin.

Shock found the bandage and quickly wrapped her hand. She threw the rest of it on the floor carelessly. Then walked out of the bathroom. She was met with Robin’s intense stare.

“What did you do in there?”

“Nothing.”

“You make the mess you clean it up.” Robin muttered. “That’s one of the rules here. And since you’re here you’re going to follow them. I don’t understand why you can’t accept that you’re done and so is your team.” He sighed then continued. “HIVE let there defenses down and we found there hideout. Cyborg, Beast Boy, Raven and Starfire went to go look for them. They’ll be in prison by lunch time and you’ll be here, stuck with me.”

He looked at her bandaged right hand. Which she had been flexing out of anger. Each time Robin directly spoke to Shock she hated him even more.

“You’re hand is fine right?” He reached for his communicator and started to dial some numbers.

Grinding her teeth she glared at him. The situation was tense, she flexed her hand into and open hand then into a fist. “Actually it’s great.”

That was when her fist collided with Robin’s cheekbone.

“Ah, I feel much better.” She smiled.

I did it again. I let my guard down. Why didn’t I see that coming? She was standing right in front of me.

As Robin sat up he heard his communicator ring.

“Uhg…Cyborg?”

“Robin there’s nothing here.” A little bit of static. “-no sign of them ever even living here.”

“You led us on a wild goose chase!” He heard BB in the background.

“Just get back here. I’ll get more information.”

The signal ended and he shut his communicator. He rubbed the side of his face, he felt a small bump. Now his new goal was to find Shock. He presumed that she was rummaging through his stuff trying to find hers.

When I find her, I’m going to ask her what the hell her problem is. I’ve had enough of this. It ends today.

Robin walked to his room and opened the door. All his room was filled with was darkness.

He made his way to the next room. It was the artifact room. All the clues and pieces of equipment that the villains they fought used were in this room. He heard footsteps.

He reached for the light switch, but instead his wrist was met with a hard grip. He was tugged forward into the room. The lights blinked on, blinding him for a moment. He saw Shock’s face, she was mad about something. Looking down at his arm, she swiftly pulled off the glove exposing the now bloody bandages.

“Another robot.” While looking at random artifacts she had come across fairly new equipment, that had been brought back from the robot.

“Robin cut the crap, just give me my clothes, and I’ll leave. I wont go back to HIVE I’ll leave Jump City forever. I need to leave.” She began to sound desperate.

“After everything you did, what makes you think I believe you?” He put his glove back on.

“You do, and I don’t know why but please Robin. I didn’t care before but now…I really have to leave.” Shock moved towards the door. “‘no sign of them ever even living here’ I know Cyborg didn’t find HIVE, so just let me leave. You can still look for them, even though you won’t find them.”

“You were listening in on the communicator. That even shows I shouldn’t let you go.”

“Robin you have nothing to do! That’s why you want me to stay, you just want to start more fights. I know Slade is dead, you’ve just been restless all this time!”

“You’re wrong. I have more than enough to do.”

“Then why don’t you send me to jail!? You would do that to any other villain, I stole those microchips by myself, and I helped break into that bank.” She sighed and then shook her head. “I’m not your friend Robin, I was before but I’m not anymore. I don’t think you can get over that either.”

“I don’t know what’s wrong with you, but I thought you would be glad I didn’t send you to jail, and that even after you went against everything I think is right I still consider you a friend.”

“Trust me Robin this isn’t what friends do. I can guess three things about you right now: One, you thought I was being controlled somehow by HIVE and that’s why I didn’t come to you first. Two, I bet yesterday or the day before or for ever how long I’ve been here we acted like we were friends again. I bet I was even the one who bandaged your arm.” She pointed to his arm.
”And three, right now in your mind you’re remembering everything we did together, and you couldn’t do it before.”

Robin just stared at her, she had been right. He had been remembering even the tiniest memories. Ever since Slade “died” he had continued stopping crime, but most of it had died down. He had started to remember Shock, and then like a sign she appeared. But not like he had planned. He wanted her to come to him first, there would be a couple of arguments about what happened in Gotham but in the end they would be as they once were. She would join the Titans and everything would be great.

That was Robin’s plan, but that wasn’t how it was.

He reached for her hand the one that was bandaged up.

“You broke the window, so why didn’t you leave?”

“I don’t know if you’ve noticed but that window is on the second floor, I would make the fall but then I’d be in shorts and a t-shirt. It’s not that warm out either.”

She sighed. Robin wasn’t going to let her leave. That was just another one of her dreams. They would keep arguing for hours until they were too tired to talk anymore. She could end it right now, end this stupid fight, but she wasn’t going to. She didn’t have enough answers.

“Fine Robin. You win, I’ll stay here.” She walked out the door. Robin looked around the room before switching off the lights.

He didn’t notice that Cyborg’s old HIVE communicator was gone.

“Gizmo your plan is stupid. It needs to be a surprise, something she won’t forget.” Jinx shook her head. They had been sitting there for 30 minutes already and all their plans either were too stupid or not good enough.

“No one messes with HIVE” Mammoth muttered rubbing his chin, he had said one thing throughout the time they had been trying to conjure a plan.

“My plan is better than your stupid plan!” Gizmo yelled in Jinx face.

“At least mine didn’t include-” Jinx looked down at her waist, her communicator was ringing. There were five people that had HIVE communicators, three of them were in the room, the other two were in the titans tower. She opened the communicator and looked at the screen it read Stone. That was the last person she expected to receive a call from. Jinx pressed the button and raised it up to her ear. But before she was able to say “Hello” someone on the other side of the line talked first. I think it’s all too easy to figure out who it was.

“Wait.” Silence and then the sound of voices and shuffling. “I’m not a titan. I lost my memory and that was the only reason I was in the tower.”

“How did that happen? Did you fall and hit your head?” Jinx said in a taunting voice.

“No.” She snapped back. Right now Shock was in the bathroom, Robin hadn’t took much notice of it. He was in the living room waiting for the rest of the titans. “I need you to rob another bank.”

“What? You want us to rob a bank for you so you can show up with your new team and try to beat us?”

“Jinx! I’m not a gay TITAN!”

“From what we’ve seen you are.”

“I’m not dealing with this.” Shock muttered.

“Whatever. But don’t come crawling back to us.” Then Shock hung up on her.
