Virgil Hawkins is like any other teenager...with super electrical powers. Join us this week, in our second to last talkback for the "Static Shock" series. Guest stars, super villiany, and a whole lot of trouble are coming in the fourth and final season to this great series. So tune in, enjoy your holiday break, and make "Static Shock" your post-holiday shopping ritual. Thanks to TVtome.com for episode descriptions!

Monday (12/13)
"Hooped"
Virgil's dad, Robert, buys VIP tickets to the NBA All-Star game in L.A. after gathering money from doing a charity drive. Virgil and Richie walk into one of the courts where they find Karl Malone, Yao Ming, Tracy McGrady, and Steve Nash playing some ball. Just as they're introducing themselves to the popular NBA stars, chaos commences.

Tuesday (12/14)
"Now You See Him..."
The episode starts out at the Dakota Mall. Daisy is looking at a necklace that she wants to buy, but says she doesn't have enough money to. She sees a man staring at her in a mirror. As soon as she turns around, the man disappears. While Daisy continues to browse around, all of a sudden, someone moving extremely fast runs through the mall stealing things.

Wednesday (12/15)
"Where Rubber Meets the Road"
Adam takes Sharon out on a date, while Virgil and Richie play Adam's Game Station 2. At the restaurant, Adam can't read their menu. The words are all jumbled around, meaning that he has dyslexia. Meanwhile, a creature breaks into Edwin Alva's labs.

Thursday (12/16)
"Linked"
Static and Gear are fighting a new Bang Baby, but they are losing. The Bang Baby runs off, but they do not follow. They have to go to a dinner. The next scene shows the unknown Bang Baby at his home watching a news report about a pro football player named Dule Jones.

The actual title of tonight's episode is "Hoop Squad". But regardless, this week starts off on a bad note considering this was the worst overall episode of the series. I mean really, 4 NBA stars working with a secret organization that provides them with special outfits that provide them with superpowers? This concept is as bad as the lame 70's cartoon Super Globetrotters. And worse is from seeing the end credits, Karl Malone was the only one of the group voicing his own character. There was really no point to this episode, especially since Shaquille O'Neal was featured in an earlier episode (Static Shaq), in a more realistic portrayal of a popular NBA star with his busy schedule, appearances at various functions, etc. And he even got to kick Bang Baby butt without the need of a power suit. "Hoop Squad" here is the only episode I'm giving an F (2/10).

Maybe the episode was meant as a hommage to Super Globetrotters?

Season 4 has just not been very good, will it get better?

why is the season 4 intro not in widescreen and has only like two new clips tacked on at the end? oh and Hoop Squad was pretty lame and didn't make much sense. they could have at least made the guys have better powers and not have Gear kidnapped again

"Now You See Him..." was a definite improvement from yesterday (Heck, any episode would be). I was expecting a reference to the Flash, considering Eddie was moving just as fast. Plus it would have made sense since it seemed Green Lantern turned Rogue in "Fallen Hero". But the special FX were pretty good and they managed to get in a few gags. I particularly liked the one where Static made Gear gasp in fear thinking he wrecked his dad's car with the plane. And it was good to see a little background on Daisy, who got some decent screen time in this episode. My score 8/10. :)

You goofed again on the episode order, Cookie S. Tonight's episode is "No Man's an Island". Here, Static and Hotstreak are forced to work together when they're captured by mysterious people and are handcuffed upon being brought to an island, where they learn more of their predicament that involves other kidnapped metahumans, including Gear. Definitely one of the better episodes from the final season. My score 9/10.

No Man's an Island is the greatest Static Shock episode ever. I flipped when I saw Rubberband Man since he was MIA in season three. (Awesome new costume too!) Yeah, it was just a cameo but it was a pleasant surprise. (He's my favorite Static character.) We also got some great insight on Hotstreak and Edwin Alva finally got Omniferious cured. (Thank you Static!) My favorite episode of the entire series. *****.

When will Where the Rubber Meets the Road air again anyways? That was a good episode too.

When will Where the Rubber Meets the Road air again anyways? That was a good episode too.

That'll be Monday, 12/20, which will be among the final 4 episodes of the series airing next week, including "Wet and Wild", "Kidnapped", and the series finale "Power Outage".

Hoop Squad was a repeat for me, so I watched Battle for Ozzfest instead.
Now You See Him... was also a repeat, but Wanda Does It was a repeat.7/10
No Man's An Island was great, especially Hotstreak! 10/10
Linked was also good, but sorta meh. 7/10
