View Full Version : Foster's... first impressions from over here

Okay, make that second, since I'd seen the telefilm, but this past Sunday, I caught the very first airing of the series over here. The ep shown was "Busted", about this guy:

trying to fix this:

(The thing between Mac and Bloo ;))
But enough about the plotline, my impressions are thusly:
1. Nice theme song. Wonder if the kazoo music is a subtle reference to Bloo's last name (Kazoo)?
2. Herriman is a jerk. Nice gags about house rules tho: "Utensils are Essential" :D Tho my mom did have a weird look at me when I said "Chew chew chew, it's good for you" :/
3. Also, nice toilet paper gag. "Look closer" "I don't think I want to" :D
4. Like the telefilm, the show moves at snail's pace in some spots. It takes 8 minutes for the plot to be set in motion (read: the broken bust). I can understand since this is a 22-minute show... but I don't need 7 minutes to figure out how strict Herriman likes to enforce the rules.
5. No Terrence and Duchess just yet, so no impressions on them. Plus, no egg-laying from Coco, either (as far as I see).
6. Grandma Foster in flour. Hmm... wonder if she's a lot like Pookie (Hey Arnold!).

No offense to you, but these threads clearly don't get any responses. They end up being wasted bandwidth.
I don't know what to tell you about them.

Ok, don't be so harsh man. I tend to let Rover_Wow discuss things out of context due to his location. Thailand gets shows much later than the US or Europe does.
What I'm wondering if this was the first episode to air in Thailand, or just the first episode Rover was able to watch. Either way, I enjoy the series for its comedic timing and plotlines.
Also pebbles, if you talked about merchandise anymore, I'd have to nickname you BILLBOARD. Hehe. Foster's stuff can be bought at http://shop.cartoonnetwork.com/

Yeah!! All that Foster's stuff ROCKS!! I think I am going to have a very long christmas list this year...
But anyway 'Busted' isn't really one of my favorites....but I'm glad you liked it, Rover_Wow. I just found it a little boring.

Didn't I post here earlier? Oh, it must have been removed by Red Giant or someone of the like.
Let's just reimburse it.

Yeah, it's a great show. It wouldn't be the same without Bloo. Imagine if instead of Bloo.... there was *gasp!!* Floo!! Lol.:p
"Busted" isn't one of my favorites either.

This is a great show. It's funny, I love the art design of the characters (kinda remind me of Wacky Land and Yellow Submarine) and Frankie's kinda cute.:o
I especially like the one with the imaginary friend who had a huge crush on Bloo.

My personal favorite :D Where Bloo always got Berri's name wrong. Called her like, Gerry and Larry ^_^ Classic! And she went totally psycho X_x

Both. The series premiered early December. Since then I caught some of "Dinner is Swerved" (only got up to the bit with Duchess), but from what I saw, Grandma definitely seems kooky...
