This is my very first fanfic. I would appreciate constructive feedback. The titans don't appear for the first part of the story, but they will show up trust me! Well, here it goes!
Chapter one:
In The still darkness of the night she waits.
Ears atuned to the slightest of sounds, nose reading the story the cold winds bring with them.
Pepperoni mingles with perfume and the echo of banners flapping tell her what she needs to know, she is on top of the Museum of ancient antiquities.
Why her query had chosen to come here she did not know, but he would be there, all she had to do was wait.
Her ears perk as the screech of a cat from the alley below shatters the stillness of the night.
Alley cats did not get spooked over nothing, that could mean only one thing. Slowing her breath she listens intently for the soft sounds of padding feet that would be her query.
She had but to wait for a few moments.
As she listened intently she was not disappointed.
The soft sound of padded feet hurrying across the roof was her cue to move.
Slowly, stealthfully, like a cat uncurling from a nap, she uncurls her body. Moving into a crouch she silently eases her way closer to where the padding feet had stopped, somewhere near the museums massive skylight.
Closer and closer she crawls, inching her way along, every sense on alert, pinpointing the location of her prey when suddenly she catches a wiff of cologne.
Freezing in place she waits, her query, still unaware of her presence, fishes in a bag for a few tools.
Moving even more quietly, like a cat she manuvers herself into a crouch position.
Gathering her legs under her, every muscle tightening, she prepares to strick!
Unaware that he is being stalked Jason Helwitt dashes quickly to the skylight and gazes down into the grand hall of jump cities museum of ancient antiquities.
He had been sent, once again, to pick up an item for his boss Alexander. "Sent" as if he were some kind of messanger boy.
The muscles in Jasons jaw tighten as do his hands, turning them into fists. How he hated being used like this!
Once the son of respected martial arts instructors he was now the unwilling lacky of an evil man.
Jason's hands turn white at the knuckles as he fights back the urge to punch something.
He would have told Alexander where to shove his offer except for one thing, his sister.
Jason's shoulders slump at the thought of his little sister.
Memories of the last four years flash through his mind as he gentle places a hand on the glass.
His parents had been wonderful people!
It was so unfair that they had died!
At the time Jason had been preparing to go off to college.
His parents death changed everything.
He had to get a job so that he could take care of his 11 year old sister.
He hadn't regreted it.
He loved his sister, and she was the only family that Jason had.
When Jason had found a job working for Alexanders shipping company he thought that it had been a great find.
That was until his boss discovered just how good Jason was at martial arts. Some how word got back to Alexander who offered Jason a chance to do some work for him on the illegal side of things.
Jason had refused at once but Alexander wouldn't let him leave.
He explained to Jason that if he did not accept it would be his sister who suffered the consequences.
Jason would have done anything to protect his sister.
Heaving a deep sigh Jason reaches into his bag for his glass cutter and a suction cup.
Securing the suction cup to the glass he begins cutting a large circle out of the glass when he is suddenly knocked flying.
Twisting around Jason lands in a crouching position facing the spot where he had just been.
Standing there, lighted by the street lights stands a lone femenine figuire. Dressed in a skin tight black body suit, a thin black mask covering her eyes, she made a rather impressive sight.
The jaw was set and the mouth drawn tight, but Jason knew instantly who it was.
It was his sister Teresa!

Ok, now that that's outta my system, this is a very interesting story. But I must warn you, present tense is good for very very short stories and poetry, anything lengthly in it ofter becomes tedious. I'm sure you can write it, just be sure it doesn's become annoying.
However, this is excellently written and the detail is superb.
I give you 37 stars. (But I won't tell you outta how many ;) )

Now now Reid, that's not very nice.
37 stars out of 30. That was a great beginning, although it was hard to read due to the paragraph shortage. Just next time post in paragraphs, and it'll be 40 out of 30 stars.

I agree with Reid about the present tense. That was the first thing that struck me. Other than that, it's a nice little chapter. The sibling tension is going to be interesting.
If you used paragraphs, it would look like more and be easier to follow. And everybody always says this, so if you don't you'll just have a million people tell you that. Also, beware of posting fluff. I can guarentee you, it isn't nice, and it's usually newbies who fall into it.
Reid, control your temper. You get 1st post all the time, and it doesn't even matter. Whoever writes the story gets first post. And I got first and second post on mine. Bwah-hah-hah-ha!
Back to the story. I don't think it's bad that you haven't introduced the Titans yet. Take your time. I have a prologue on my story that has nothing to do with the Titans, and I'm already 6 chapters (somewhere around 15,000 words total) and I still only have Raven and Cyborg. And trust me, the others are comming. So take your time. It's always worth it.

Thanks for great feed back guys! I'm glad you liked it! I'm new to this whole posting thing so I'm not quiet sure on how to make this thing post in paragraphs. I tried to last time and it came up all mushed together. I'll try something else this time and see if that works. I'm also drawing a blank on the whole present tense thing, if you could give me some examples of what your talking about I would be greatful! In the meantime though, here's some more story!
Chapter 2:
Stunned beyond belief jason stands up and slowly walks over to his sister.
"Teresa! What in sam hill are you doing here? You're supposed to be in bed! Why I.." his scolding is cut short by the appearance of teresa's metal staff, pionted directly in his face. With strained and measured words Teresa says,
"I believe dear brother the real question is what are you doing here? But of coarse we both know the answer to that one!" Jason looked away, her words stinging like a wasp. How he wished that he could make her understand. But Jason knew his sister all to well. If he told her that Alexander was the one behind this she wouldn't stop until she had either stopped Alexander or else gotten herself killed. No, he couldn't tell her. "Listen Teresa, it's not like that, it's just that I don't have a choice."
"You always have a choice!"
"Not this time!"
"What!" Teresa couldn't believe what she was hearing. This, her brother, the one who gave up college to take care of her, the one who had always told her it was never o.k. to commit crimes or to be dishonest, he was telling her that he didn't have a choice! This just couldn't be happening. And his voice! He sounded almost sad, and pleading. What was he hiding from her?
Unfortunately Teresa wasn't going to get the opportunity to ask him for at that very moment who should arrive but the Teen titans.
Seeing the five figuires coming straight for them Jason begins to panic.
"Oh Shoot!" Grabbing Teresa's hand he yells, "Run!" Teresa and Jason take off running along the roof tops trying desparately to keep ahead of the Titans. They were not succeeding. Teresa knew that they would never be able to out run the teen titans. She had to think fast.
"Jason! I'll distract them and then meet you at home!"
Not believeing what his sister was thinking of doing Jason hollers back,
"Are you nuts? You can't take them all on by yourself?"
"I'll be fine! Now go!" Slowing her pace just slightly Teresa climbs a set of crates and waits for the first Titan to pass beneath. Knwing full well his sisters abilities Jason continues on, determined to circle back once he had shaken them off his trail, just in case she needed his help.
Listening intently Teresa doesn't have to wait long for a titan to reach the crates. the first one is starfire. Intent on reaching Jason Starfire is oblivious to the presence of teresa on top of the crates. Teresa listens as Starfire gets closer. 'just a little farther, there' Leaping out and onto Starfires back Teresa delivers her a quick blow to the head with her staff and then flips off of her narrowly missing a blast from cyborg. Landing in a crouch teresa catches the distinct whistle of a large object flying through the air. Moving to the side she does a spinning kick and knocks the flying crate into beast boy who had been in mid leap having morphed into a tiger.
Knowing that she now has their attention Teresa speeds off back towards the museum. Running, dogding, and flipping trying to avoid the many blasts form cyborg and the now recovered Starfire Teresa leaps onto the roof top next to that of the museum and dogdes a blow from Robin who had been right on her heels. Bringing her staff into play Teresa and Robin begin batteling it out on roof. As the others arrive waht they see causes them to stop for a moment and watch. This mysterious girl was holding her own against Robin, but was even more amazing was the fact that her fighting style was almost identical to that of Robins. Cyborg, curious, takes a moment to scan her, what he finds shocks him.
In the one moment that everyone takes to watch, Teresa slams Robin into the brick wall of the building adjoining the one they are on, stunning him. With a twist of the wrist Teresa's staff suddenly grows points. The others seeing this move to help Robin but freeze in their tracks when she calls out, "Stay right where you are. Robin holds very still, knowing that as fast as this girl was, if she wanted too she could kill him before any of them would even have the chance to move.
Knowing that the next move was her's Teresa makes an attempt to reason with Robin, even though she knows it probably won't work.
"Listen, we're not the criminals that you think we are!"
In a rather mocking voice Robin replies, "Oh! right you were just the window washers!"
"A little irratated by Robins reply Teresa continues.
"Look, if you and your friends will just stay out of tis the situation will be resolved shortly. Just stay out of it!"
Robins eyes narrow as he asks in a challenging voice,"And if we don't?"
Leaning in closer to Robins face Teresa whispers with deadly seriousness,
"Than I will have to play Zeus to your titans!"
With that said Teresa leaps away from Robin and over the edge of the building. The Titans rush over and gaze down into the dark alley below. There was no sign of her anywhere. Beast boy, looking down asks the question that was on everyones mind, "Man, who was that girl?"
Robin replies, "I don't know. But we are going to find out!"

that was really great
what did cyborg find out
you forgot to tell us
or did you...?
you asked for an example of present tense and past tense thing
Present tense: tells the story as if it is happening rightat that very moment. Example:Jason looks at his sister.
Past tense: tells the story as if it happened in the past.
Example: Jason looked at his sister.
most stories use past tense and ithink what reid is saying is that it might get hard to tell your story with present tense
i might be wrong though

All right! You want, than here is some more! I really like this next section. I hope that you all have as much fun reading it as I did writing.
Chapter three:
Jason breaths a sigh of relief as he watches the Titans fly off to their tower. Stepping out of the doorway and into the alley a sense of dred washes over him. His sister had discovered his secret, though obviously not all of his secret. She still didn't know that Alexander was behind this. Knowing his sister like he did he knew that she wouldn't rest until she had the complete story. Hoping against hope to distract her Jason casually comments,
"Well, I guess we should be heading home."
Not falling for the distraction Teresa steps out into the alley and confronts her brother.
"I fought the Teen Titans!"
Trying hard to avoid the inevitable question Jason replies innocently,
"Yes, and you did quiet well!"
Angered even more by his avoidence Teresa fires back,
"That's not what I meant and you know it! I fought against the gaurdians of this city, against superheros,...and I did it for you! You owe me an explanation Jason! Why were you out here? And what could be so terrible that you wold have no choice but to steal? This isn't like you! Now what is going on?!"
Jason stares at this passionate sister of his. He could almost see her shaking from the intensity of emotion she so obviously felt. How he wished he could tell her! Only he could understand what it had meant for her to fight the Teen Titans. She would have done it only for him. But he couldn't tell her. He knew she wouldn't understand why, and under any other circumstances he would have, but...
"I can't sis, I'm sorry, I just can't!"
Teresa stands, unmoving, in stunned soul chilling silence, fighting back not only the rage that demanded to be unleashed, but also the tears that threatened to spill down her cheeks. For her, fighting the Titans had been the ultimate act of loyalty. She had hoped that by fighting them so he could escape it would have caused him to tell her, to trust her, with his secret. His answer had been like a slap in the face. Taking a deep breath Teresa replies quietly and coolly,
"Fine, but next time, fight them yourself, because I won't!" Turning she walks stifley down the alley headed towards home, a single tear stealing down her cheek.
Jason stares at his sisters retreating form, a wieght hanging heavily in his chest. He had hurt his sister deeply that night. With a determined and yet sad look in his eyes Jason whispers,
"I promise I will make this up to you sis. One day you will understand and know the truth!" with that said Jason slowly follows his sister home.

Here's the next chapter. I'm sorry to say that I probably won't get to post again until next week. Hope you enjoy this next section!:)
Chapter 4:
Across the screen flash images of thier encounter at the museum. Robins eyes narrow with intense concentration, focusing on every move made by thier mysterious opponent. The video feed ends but Robin hits the playback button, still not convinced that he had seen everything. Again he watches the feed, slowing some parts, speeding up others, pauseing it occasionally. Still, he couldn't shake the feeling that he was missing something.
"What is it?! What am i missing?!"
Playing it back Robin decides to watch the whole feed in slow motion. The video starts with the two figuires running from the Titans. Than the irl climbs a set of crates. Focusing in on the girl, Robin suddenly bolts upright and pauses the feed. Something about her stance had caught his attention. She was obviously lieing in wait for Starfire, but there was one problem, she wasn't even looking at star! Instead she was focused downward!
"But why!"
Starting the feed again Robin watches as the girl carefully angles her head, first to the right, then to the left, and back again. Never once, however, does she look straight at Star! Watching the rest of the feed Robin realizes that this strange behavior persisted through the entire fight. Sitting back in his seat Robin stares at the screen, brow furrowed and eyes narrowed.
'How on earth could she have known where we all were or how to fight us if we were constantly in her perifrial vision?' Contemplating this Robin gets a sudden thought.
"It's almost as if..."
Remembering something he had seen earlier in the feed Robin rewinds the video to one scene where it is a close up of her face. Pausing the video Robin sits there stunned by what he sees. Her mask had no eye holes!
At that moment Robins door slides open revealing a huge hulk that filled the doorway. Recovering from his stunned state Robin hits play on the video and asks,
"What's up Cy?"
Silently Cyborg walks over to Robins computer and watches the video feed. Glancing up Robin comments,
"You got some excellent shots in this video, it's been realy helpful."
Still watching the screen Cyborg replies somberly,
"I got more than just the video, I also scanned her."
Being able to probably guess what it was that Cyborg was going to tell him Robin asks,
"So what did you find?"
Looking at Robin Cyborg begins with,
"I know this is going to sound crazy, but that girl, she's..."
"Blind. I know!"
Robin watches the screen while a shocked Cyborg picks his jaw up off the floor.
"How did you know she was blind? I didn't even know until I scanned her, and even then I wasn't completely sure I was reading everything right!"
Giving Cyborg his crooked smile Robin explains,
"As i was watching the video, I noticed some odd behaviors. The only logical explanation was that she was blind. Did your sensors pick up anything else?"
Recovering from his shcock, Cyborg remembers the other thing his sensors had picked up on.
"Her mask emits a high frequency sound pulse. The sound pulse bounces off of things and is than picked up by a device in her ear. I assume that the device converts the sound waves emitted from her mask into an audible sound."
"Like a bat!"
"Exactly!"
"So she was getting an audible map of her surroundings. That's why she was able to fight us."
Knowing Robin probably was already calculating a way to beat her Cyborg asks, "So, what's the plan?"
With a determined look in his eyes Robin replies,
"I don't know! But next time we meet, She's not getting away!"
This is good
Screw that this is GREAT!!!
I can wait until next week, i think.....

Chapter 5:
Taking a bite of his sandwich Jason places a hand on his fidgetting leg. He had to stay calm! When he arrived at work that morning a message had been waiting. He was to be outside Alexanders office at 1:00. Glancing at his watch it read 12:45. Only 15 minutes! Jason takes another bite of his sandwich, but finds it a bit harder to swalllow this time. He had failed to retrieve the item last night! Alexander would not be happy! Finishing his sandwich Jason takes a deep breath and heads to his appointment with Alexander. Walking into the reception area in front of Alexanders office Jason is struck yet again by the impresive 10 foot tall, ornately carved, ebony doors that lead into Alexanders office. The black of the ebony reflecting the blackness of Alexanders soul. Unsure what awaited him Jason stands transfixed to his spot in front of the doors, scenario after horrific scenario playing through his mind! One could only imagine the kind of punishments a man like Alexander could dole out. Jason could only hope that Teresa would be spared any consequences for his faliure. With a loud groaning that could be compared to the groaning of the gates of hell as they open to admit the souls of the condemned Alexanders office doors swung open revealing a dimly lit interior. Taking a deep breath, Jason steels himself for whatever might lie ahead, and walks through the now open doors. Shuddering with an ominous thud the giant doors close behind Jason, dooming him to suffer whatever punishment Alexander chose. Deliberatly slowing his breathing Jason allows his eyes to take in his surroundings. The office was massive, closer in size to a small apartment rather than an office. In the right hand corner stands an ornate fireplace which was lit. The firelight eminating from it was one of only two lights present with in the office. Allowing his gaze to travel to the center of the room Jason notes the massive desk and high backed chair which are illuminated from beneath by some florescent lights that had been sunck into the floor. It made for a very intimidating appearance. The high backed chair more resembeled a throne than an office chair. 'The chair his throne, and the city his kingdom' Jason mused. A movement from the corner of his eye catches his attention. Glancing over to the left side of the room Jason's eyes narrow. There, quietly attending his extensive collection of exotic plants, stands the object of Jasons loathing, Alexander! With out turning around Alexander comments almost casually,
"You have failed me Jason."
Knowing it was useless to argue Jason remains silent. Still with his back to him Alexander continues, this time with more seriouness,
"I will not tolerate faliure!"
With a snap of his fingers Alexander produces out of the shadows not two, but four six foot tall muscular brutes, each one with death in his eyes. Moving swiftly They close in on Jason who is helpless against their onslaught. Curling into a fetile position Jason tries desparately to wait it out. Deciding that Jason had been given enough punishment for now Alexander snaps his fingers a second time signaling his goones to stop. Walking over to Jasons battered and bleeding form He asks,
"Tell me Jason, why did you not retrieve the item?"
Gasping through the pain Jason tries to explain,
"The Teen Titans... I couldn't... fight them all... I had to... escape!"
With seething narrow eyes Alexander replies,
"The teen Titans are nothing! You could have fought them!"
Softening his look Alexander continues,
"I am, however, a generous man. You will go back tommorrow night and retrieve the item."
With a sinister grin spreading across his lips Alexander adds,
"You of coarse know the concequence if you fail!"
Turning to his ruffians Alexander says,
"Get him out of my sight!"
With a goon on each side Jason is escorted to the back elevator that will take him to the alley behind the business. Just as he is being loaded onto the elevator Alexander comments,
"I would be sure to head right home if I were you Jason. I believe your sister will be needing you!"
Alarmed by this sudden comment Jason attempts to jump back into the office to confront Alexander but it was too late, the doors had closed leaving an angry and worried Jason with only one image in his mind, a picture of his sister, beaten and bloody lying helpless at home. with this image fueling him, Jason rushes home, despite his own injuries, in hopes that he will not be too late to save his sister.
Great chap!

Hey guys! Sorry that it's been so long since i posted! I haven't really had access to a computer for awhile. Well, enough talking, time for another post!
Chapter 5:
Teresa sighs, soaking in her surroundings. The sun was warm on her face, a nice change from the cold weather they had been having. A few splashes and quakes from the pond bring a smile to her face. A robins sweet song fills the air, soothing the ach in her heart from the conflict she had with her brother the night before. Thinking back to that night Teresa is still confused and a bit hurt. She simply couldn't understand why it was that Jason refused to tell her what was going on. Jason was never this secretive with her. He had always been up front with her on just about everything! Everything except...!
Like a lightening bolt from the sky it hit her! He was trying to protect her! That's why he couldn't tell her what he was involved in! It was to try and protect her! Now it made sense! His avoidance of her questions, why he said he didn't have a choice, why he refused to get her involved! Pausing her thoughts for one moment A realization washed over her! Jason would rather die than be some big criminals lacky! But he would do anything to protect her! This new revelation turned Teresa's stomach. She was being used by some creep to force her brother to steal for them! As her hands turned to fists Teresa had only one thing on her mind, finding out who was behind this and stopping them!
Standing to her feet a sudden rustle in the bushes to her right catches her attention. Senses immediately alert Teresa strains to hear even the slightest of sounds that would identify the origin of the noise. Carefully sniffing the air she catches a hint of oldspice and then the sound of rushing feet.
Leaping to the side Teresa bearly misses the lunging brute. Multiple slight impact noises alert her to the presence of not one but three more brutes. Taking a fighting stance Teresa listens intently for each of the four brutes. With out her mask this was going to be a bit more difficult. The first brute that had fallen had gotten back up and was moving more carefuly now. A second brute swiped and missed, Teresa easily dodging.
Figuiring that she couldn't take them on all at once the four brutes close in at the same time. Flipping over their backs Teresa kicks one of the Brutes in the butt knocking him into the other three. Taking this opportunity she tries to run when suddenly she slams into a fifth brute who had been waiting on the side lines.
Concentrating so hard on the other four Teresa had not noticed this one. Powerful hands suddenly sieze Teresa's arms. They were like vices that would not let her even budge. Kicking with all her might Teresa tries to incapacitate her captor. She is not successful. As teresa remains clamped in this goliaths vice like grip her panic begins to rise until it reaches a climax as her legs are suddenly siezed as well by a second pair of vice like hands. Not being able to surpress her panic any longer Teresa screams.
Her screams are rewarded with a punch to the stomach, knocking the wind out of her. Then she's punched again and again, first the stomach, the face, and the sides. With every blow Teresa's mind screams, Why are they doing this to me! What have I done?
Finally the pummelling stops and she's dropped roughly on the ground. Teresa curls into a ball, her throbbing body not wanting to move.
His chest heaving from both the running and the pain jason arrives home and bursts in the door yelling out,
"Teresa! Teresa!"
No answer! Taking the stairs two at a time Jason continues his search upstairs. First his room than her room then back down stairs once again. Jasons mind races with questions.
'Where was she?' 'Did they take her some where?' 'Is she in the back yard?'
Hurrying out to the back yard Jason shields his eyes from the sun and hollers out yet again,
"Teresa!"
No response! When suddenly it hits him! It was nice out! Jason remembered that Teresa liked to go to the park when it was nice.
Hurrying back through the house and out the front door Jason turns right and dashes up the street. If he hurried, maybe he could make it!
"Hold on sis! I'm coming!"

That was really good. I'm guessing that Teresa was fighting the Titans, but I wasn't sure. You describe her not being able to see very well, and how she fights and does stuff without it. It's brilliant stuff.
My only wish is that your paragraphs become a little smaller. That way, it's easier on the eyes.
Can't wait for more!!

There is only one critisism about this chapter.......you called it chapter five when you've already got a chapter five!
Apart from that this was great, but next time please don't leave us waiting for a month

Hey guys! Thanks for the nice reveiws! Sorry about the chapter miss print! In the last chapter Teresa was being beat by Alexanders brutes! The teen titans would not have viciously attacked a civilian girl like that! And, Teresa is completely blind, not just sort of blind. That is why I don't have any visual descriptors when i tell things from her perspective. Oh, and I will try to make the paragraphs smaller. Well, here goes another chapter, hope you all like it!
Chapter 7:
Lungs and legs burning from the long run, Jason pauses at the edge of the park. Hurridly glancing about Jason tries desparately to find some sign of his sister. Panic once again threatens to take control, but jason shoves it back down knowing that she could be in any number of spots in the park.
Taking a deep breath Jason heads for the pond, that had always been one of Teresa's favorite spots!
Coming with in sight of the pond Jason anxiously looks around, his eyes darting from one point to the next.
'Where was she?'
It was then that he spotted them!
Off to the side, shielded mostly from view by a bunch of bushes and trees was a group of Alexanders goons, and there lieing on the ground curled up in a ball was...
"No! Teresa!!"
At Jason's Yell the five brutes turn to see Jason running towards them. Their work done the five brutes take off.
All except for the fifth brute, the one that had held Teresa's arms. With a wicked grin he walks over and viciously kicks Teresa's side. A slight crack is heard, and Teresa groans in pain!
Fury fueling his speed Jason reaches Teresa just as the fifth brute finishes his dasterdly deed.
Giving a yell that would chill the soul, and with a strength born of rage jason slams his fist into the face of the brute, sending him flying!
Panic rising again jason rushes to his sisters side.
Her still and battered form a more frightening sight then any he would have wanted to see.
A soft groan escapes her lips signaling that life still remained in her.
Breathing a sigh of relief Jason reches down and gently strokes her hair.
'How could I have let this happen!'
'I thought i was protecting her, but instead all I've done is to place her in danger!'
setting his jaw Jason vows with deadly seriouness,
"No more! This has got to stop!"
Darkness, that was normal, but not the pain that came with it. struggeling to escape the pain Teresa curls in even farther. Aware only of the pain, Teresa doesn't notice the departure of the brutes. How she wished jason was here! Then suddenly, a gentle touch, and a familiar voice reach across the pain and stir a pleasant response.
It was jason! He was here!
Struggeling against the pain that racked her baody Teresa tries to sit up and weakly says,
"Jason!"
Relief flooding his voice Jason replies,
"Yes sis! It's me! I'm here! It's o.k.! Your going to be all right!"
Finally sitting up Teresa takes in a breath and is rewarded by a sharp pain in her side. Crying out Teresa holds her side and almost falls back over.
Catching her jason asks,
"What? What's wrong?!"
"My side! It really, really hurts!"
Having a suspition about what it may be jason reaches over to feel the spot.
Sure enough, one of the ribs gives a little too much under is probing finger as Teresa cries out in pain.
"It looks like you have a broken rib!"
Helping her to her feet Jason wraps one arm around her waist and draps her arm over his shoulders.
"Lets get out of here!"
Slowly they begin the trek home.
Pausing for a moment, Teresa turns to her brother and says,
"Thank you!"
"For what!"
Smiling just a little Teresa respondes,
"For being the best big brother a girl could have!"
Wincing a little at her comment Jason mutters,
"Yeah, no problem!"
With that said they continue on they way home.
That was great!
It was a touching scene

I was looking at the threads, and I thought
Strange, here's a thread I've posted on. I don't remember this. Then it hit me. That story I briefly saw back at the beginning of December! There was more to it! I quickly read what was to be read.
Amazing story. I like the whole "blind girl" part. I think your story would be easier to read if your put 2 "returns" between each paragraph
Like this. I hit "enter" twice.
It makes things easier to read. Also, the present tense isn't bad. I expected it to be awful, but no - it's quite readable. Anyway, it's late and I should be in bed. Thanks for writing this.

Hey guys! Sorry about posting three times in a row! It was just that i thought I would go ahead and add another part on to the story. Well! Here it goes!
Chapter 8:
Sitting quietly in her room Ravens thoughts drift to the events of the past couple of days. Responding to a tripped alarm, they had hurried to the Museum of ancient antiquities only to discover that the thieves hadn't even entered the building. As they came on the scene it appeared to Raven as though the two thieves had been arguing. It had most certainly been a strange encounter to say the least.
Getting up, Raven casually begins straightening up her room. Gingerly placing her ancient books back in their spots on the shelves, another curious thought enters her mind. The girl had seemed extremely intent on making sure the guy escaped. 'I wonder what their connection is?' Raven mused.
She was certainly a skilled fighter.
She was better than even Robin. A slight shudder runs down Raven's spine as she thinks about what could have happened. The image of Robin with a spear pointed staff held at his chest flashes through her mind. That girl could have killed Robin.
"But she didn't!"
'So why?'
Floating over to the window Raven sits and focuses on thier encounter with this mysterious girl.
Colors, images, smells and sensations flood Ravens senses, her room forgoten Raven floats above the scene at the museum.
She watches as the scene unfolds before her. Focusing in on the girl Raven concentrates on reading her emotions.
A slight bit of fear,
'that's normal',
determination,
'like Robin',
frustration,
'not unusual',
anger,
'anger is usual, but it's not directed at the Titans. That is unusual.',
and admiration.
Raven was a bit taken aback by this one. Why on earth would a criminal have admiration for a Titan. Examining this one a little closer Raven suddenly realizes,
'it's for Robin!'
Raven watches the two as they fight. Then it dawns on her. She was admiring his skill in fighting.
With curiosity spuring Raven on, she examins Robins emtions.
Concentrating on reading his emotions, Raven gives a little gasp at what she discovers.
Having seen more than what she had planned on, Raven's room comes back into focuse as the scene from the museum fades away.
Sitting in front of her window, she recalls what the girl had said, "We're not the criminals you think we are!".
Raven wasn't one to believe the best about people, but this time she fimrly believed that there was more to this than what they thought.
She had to speak with Robin.
Determination etching itself into her face Raven quickly makes her way down the hall to the computer room.
Pausing in front of the door she hesitates for one moment and then enters.
Pensively Robin sits in front of the Titans massive computer, the light from it painting strange patterns on his face as the video continues to play.
His mind plagued by questions whose answers would not come, Robin sits, arms folded, hand placed thoughtfully on his chin. Why was it that he couldn't seem to let this one case go?
They had stopped the thieves even before they had entered the building.
So why on earth couldn't he get her out of his mind!
There, he had siad it.
Not them, but her.
It was the girl that plagued his mind.
He heard her words over and over again,
"We're not the criminals you think we are!".
Even in his dreams he relived his fight with her.
He wasn't afraid of her, and she didn't pose any major threat to the city.
So why on earth did she still plague his mind! It was so stinking frustrating!! Slamming his fists down on the edge of the computer Robin says through clenched teeth, "Why!"
A movement off to the side alerts him to the presence of someone in the room.
Glancing quickly in the direction of the intruder he is greeted by the slender cloaked form of Raven.
A bit surprised, and slightly embarrased that his outburst had been heard, he asks roughly, "What do you want Raven!"
Sensing his frustration, and noting what was on the screen, Raven could guess what was driving the frustration.
Not wanting to come right out with the reason as to why she was here, Raven quietly asks, "Found a new obssesion?"
Had that question come from beast boy or Cyborg he probably would have gotten mad, but that question was Ravens way of showing concern for him. He had become far to obssesed with Slade, and it had almost killed him.
"No, at least I don't think so!"
"So what's with the video? I thought that you had already analyzed it and found what you wanted?"
"So had I!"
"So what seems to be the problem?"
Pausing just a moment Robin considers his answer.
He really didn't know what the problem was!
He was plagued by thoughts of this girl, yet as frustating as that was, it wasn't as torturous as he would have thought it to have been.
But to share these very private thoughts with someone else?
If it had been anyone other than raven he probably would have clammed up, but Raven seemed to be a little more understanding than the others, and definitly more mature.
Well, here it went!
Maybe if he was lucky she would know more about what was going on with him than he did!
"The problem is I can't seem to get her out of my head! Every time I turn around her words echo through my thoughts. In my dreams last night I relived our fight over and over again.
I've sat here today doing nothing but trying to get her out of my head, but I can't! I thought that maybe I could get a clue from the video about why, but so far I haven't seen anything that would help!"
Striking the desk top again Robin heatedly asks,
"What is wrong with me? Why am I so obssessed?"
Raven stood silent for a few moments, slightly disturbed by Robins sudden revelation.
If what he was sharing was true than what she had discovered earlier had been accurate.
But to say something about that to Robin?
No, she couldn't say anything, not yet.
"Robin, have you considered that she might have been telling the truth and that there may be more going on than we realize?"
Glancing up at Raven, Robin is a bit taken back by her statement. Raven was usually the last person to believe the best about someone, especially a stranger, and a criminal at that.
Calmly Robin replys, "Yes, I have considered that."
"But what would make you think that? That isn't usually like you."
Unsure as to just how much to tell him, Raven says simply,
"She lacked the sense of evil and greed that typically criminals have. Also when she had the chance to harm you, she didn't."
Relatively satisfied with Ravens explanation, Robin replys,
"We really need to get to the bottom of this. If they aren't really criminals they may be in trouble and in need of our help."
Heaving a heavy, frustrated sigh Robin comments,
"That still doesn't explain why she is continually in my thoughts though."
Having almost reached the door, Raven turns and adds one final thought. "Who knows, maybe she plays an important role in your future!"
With this said Raven passes through the door and into the hall, leaving Robin to ponder what she said.
Still frustrated and a little confused by Ravens last comment, Robin stands and stretches.
With one last look at the screen he shuts the computer down and heads to the kitchen for some food before they go on patrol.
If they were lucky maybe they would run into the pair again, and possibly some answers!
THat was great!
Is it just me or does Robin have a crush!
One slight annoyance is spelling and grammar, but that's only a small thing, try typing it on word or something to that effect first and you'll be perfect
Good luck with the next chapter!

I have a little piece of advice. Grammar is really important, because it tells the reader what to do. So if conflicting messages are sent, then it detracts a lot from a great story and plot. So, two things that i noticed right off: theives, not theifs. And, wow, way too many exclamation marks! They get hard on the eyes, so try to cut back a little bit.
Here's an example of the importance:
The accused said the judge is crazy.
The accuse, said the judge, is crazy.
See what I mean?

Hey guys! Ready for another chapter? Well here it goes!
Chapter 9:
"Ouch! That hurts!"
Teresa grimaced as Jason finished securing the wrapping around her lower chest. Running her hand along her right side Teresa winces as her hand touches her broken rib.
"The bandages seem rather tight."
"They have to be. We have to make sure that your chest moves as little as possible in order for that rib to heal."
Teresa lowers her shirt over the bandages. The tension and concern Jason felt echoed in his voice. He was still a bit shook up by what had happened this afternoon. Teresa only hoped that it wouldn't drive him to do something stupid.
Not wanting to dewll on the issue, but still needing some answers Teresa asks, "Who were those guys? What did they want with me?"
Silence was her only answer.
Standing in tense silence, Jason struggles with the tumult of emotions that flood his soul. He wanted to protect his sister, but he hadn't been able to. No matter how much he tried, as long as he worked for Alexander she would always be in danger. But how could he tell her that she had been used as a pawn to make him do Alexanders biding? It would infuriate her!
Turning to face his sister, Jason studies her now bruised face.
'Alexander did this!' Thought Jason. His hands curling into fists.
'He will pay for this! He's gone too far. If it's the last thing I do, I'll put a stop to him, for good!'
But his sister deserved to know. He seen now that keeping it a secret from her wasn't going to keep her safe, so why not tell her.
"You know the guy who is behind this?"
"Yes."
"It's Alexander."
"Alexander? You don't mean...?"
"Yes! The owner of the business I work for. He's a power crazed, criminal maniac who has more smarts than you can shack a stick at. He's also very cunning. But as smart as he is he's twice as evil!"
Giving a little shudder Teresa tries to imagen Jason being controlled by an evil, maniacal, businessman. The image sends a shiver down her spin.
"So why were his goones attacking me?"
Taking a deep breath jason tries to explain.
"Do you remember last night when we left the museum? Well there was an item there that I was supposed to 'pick up'."
"and you never got it."
"Right! So when i went to work today there was a note waiting for me. I was to meet with Alexander at one o'clock."
"Let me guess, he wasn't too happy with you for not getting the item?"
"That's putting it mildly. Anyways, when I was allowed to leave he made the comment that you might be needing me. I understood what he meant. That's why I was there. I left work immediately to try and find you."
Teresa sat, unable to believe that this was all happening. It all seemed so surreal, like something from a movie!
"I got beat up because I kept you from getting the item, didn't I?"
Jason shook his head. She had always been really bright.
"When he first broched me with his proposition I rufused. it was then that he threatened to harm you if i didn't. When I finally agreed to work for him he said that if I ever failed it was you who would be punished. What could I do? I would do anything to protect you! But he's gone too far this time! I have to find some way to stop him!"
Stop him! How could they stop someone like Alexander? He was far to powerful for the two of them to take on. But maybe, if they knew his weakness, a vulnerable spot?
"So what do you have in mind? You know we can't take him head on. He's far too powerful for that."
"Don't you think I know that." Jason asked, rather irratated.
"Does he have a weakness of some sort? Something that we could exploit?"
"He's constantly surrounded by those gaurds of his, and the security systems at his office are state of the art. I can get into alot of places, but that would be too much even for me to take on."
"What about when you drop the item off? Is it just him and the gaurds?"
"Yeah. But I can't take on all five of the guards by myself! I'm good Teresa, but not that good!"
A small little grin begins spredding across her lips
"Well, not alone."
Something in her voice causes Jason to study her face.
"What are you thinking?"
"What if I come with you? I could be your back up. Remember how well I distracted the Titans? I could do the same thing with the gaurds while you take on Alexander."
Not believing what his sister was suggesting Jason says,
"Are you nuts? Yes you did great against the Titans, but they weren't out to kill you! Besides, you are in no condition to be engaging in that major of a battle. You'll get yourself killed!"
"Well your not going to try and take care of Alexander by yourself, that would be suicide! Besides, when you go back to get the item the Teen Titans might show up. If they do your going to need help."
She had a point there. As good as he was he wasn't as good as Teresa. She had a knack for this stuff that he didn't. But still, she was in no condition to be fighting. Glancing at his sisters face Jason takes in set jaw and determined look. Even if he said no, she would probably follow him secretly. It would be better to know where she was then to not know.
"All right. You can go. But your only my back up all right! If you don't need to fight then don't."
"Fine, but at least I'll be there."
Getting up Teresa heads for her room. she was going to need her rest if she wanted to be able to fight well tonight.
Watching his sister head for her room Jaon thinks of her last comment and says quietly under his breath,
"Not if I have anything to do with it!"
Yey another chapter!

 You just said what I was going to say!
I agree with Rae, and I like how Jason cares for Teresa so much. I know very few siblings like that (My siblings and I are always at each others throats. Well, not always), and it's nice to see Jason being so... protective. But's he's a little over protective, if you know what I mean.
The "relationship" with Robin and Teresa seems like more than what it seems, which is interesting to watch. I like how Raven observed what was in each of their minds as they were fighting, that was a great touch.

Well, I promised another chapter so here it is! Enjoy!
Chapter 10:
Rounding the corner on to main street Robin speeds through this section of town for the second time. It had been a slow night. Raven and Beast Boy had squashed a purse snatching on third street and he had stopped a robbery at the washington street Jewelry store. Other than that it had been quiet. If it had been any other time Robin probably would have called it a night, but something just wouldn't let him quit.
With a vacant expresstion Robin adjusts his position on his bike automatically to make the corner on to pine avenue. The vacant intense stare on his faced giving clue to the fact that his mind was else where.
Thoughts of the fight with the mysterious girl on top of the museum fill his mind.
They had been after something, but what? His gut told him that they would return to the museum tonight, but his head told him that no good criminal would return to the scene of the crime the very next night.
Some how though he just couldn't shake the feeling that he should go back there.
The stop light ahead turns red.
Bringing his bike to a stop Robin takes a moment to look around.
To his surprise, standing across the street, is the museum of ancient antiquities. His subconcious mind had directed him to the very place that had been so very much in his thoughts.
A movement to the side of the building catches his attention.
Sitting very still, as though he hadn't seen anything he watches out of the corner of his eye as two figuires approach the museum.
Dressed in black they blend with the shadows making them hard to follow.
Able to just barely make them out Robin recognizes the feminine shape of the smaller figuire. The other was more masculine and taller.
The light turned green and Robin passed on by the museum as though he hadn't seen them. As soon as he had passed however he turned into the alley right next to it and took out his communicator.
Flipping it open he says, "Titans, their back! Meet me in front of the museum of ancient antiquities, and be quiet!"
Replacing his communicator Robin shuts of his bike and climbs onto the building next to the museum.
Gazing across the open space he watches the two figuires cross the roof to the sky light. There, illuminated by the dim light of the street lights, stands the girl who plagued his mind and infected his dreams! The object of his slightly unwilling obsession.
Quietly under his breath Robin says, "Tonight, we end this mystery! This time you won't escape!"
Senses on alert, Teresa quietly stands near the skylight where her brother was concentrating on creating an intrance in the glass. Jason placed the suction cup on the glass and then attached the glass cutter. Grimacing as the high pitched scraping of the glass cutter hurt her ears Teresa strains her senses in order to pick up any sign of the Teen Titans presence. So far she had picked up nothing.
She wasn't convinced, however, that they weren't coming.
She just had this feeling at the pit of her stomach that they would be showing up any minute.
With a final scrap and a slight pop, Jason removed the section of glass that he had cut away. They were in!
Glancing at his sister, Jason takes in the nervous head movements and the strained look on Teresa's face. Smiling just a little Jason says quietly,
"You can relax a little Teresa! Chances are they won't even know we're here until it's too late. So take a strain!"
Turning to face her brother Teresa replies,
"I know it may seem that way, but I'm telling you they know we're here and they'll be showing up any minute!"
"How on earth would they know we're here?"
"I don't know! It's just a feeling I've got."
"All right, all right! I'm going to go ahead and get the item now, you be careful out here."
Teresa nods to show she heard him andthen turns her attention back to what she had been doing.
Jason slides through the opening and the night goes very quiet as the winds die down.
Sudden alert, Teresa strains her hearing. Had that been a voice she heard coming from across the alley way? Taking a few catious steps forward Teresa listens again. Just then the wind picks back up, this time it's coming from the opposite direction and it carries a familiar scent.
Sniffing the air again, Teresa picks up a somewhat nutty smell. She had smelled it only once before, but that meant...!
"Robin! The Titans!"
Robin and the others watch from the other roof as the femanine figuire goes into a fighting stance. She knew they were there, and she was ready for them.
Standing up Robin gives the all to familiar command, "Titans, Go!"
Bracing herself for the coming attack, Teresa knows that she has to keep them busy just long enough for Jason to complete his task and get out of there. Then they could escape and head for their real mission, to stop Alexander!
The sound of rushing feet echo across the roof. Robin was the first to reach her.
Both of them bringing their staffs into play find themselves suddenly face to face.
Irratated, but some how slightly pleased, Teresa says,
"I thought I told you all to stay out of this!"
Giving his crooked little smile Robin Replies,
"I've never been really good at listening."
"I can see that."
"Really, I thought you couldn't see much of anything?"
Dropping this little hint had the affect Robin was hoping for. Taken aback at his comment Teresa stands stunned for a brief moment as realization floods through her senses. They knew she was blind! That breif moment was all that Robin needed. Going into a spinning kick Robin knocks Teresa flying across the roof. Having recovered from her shock she flips around just in time to land on her feet and then flip to the side to avoid a blow from Cyborg.
A Battle cry from behind alerts Teresa to the presence of Starfire, enabling her to leap out of the way. Running for all she was worth Teresa tries to lead them away from the skyight. It was more difficult than last time, because of her rib, she kept having to favor her right side. She needed to think, to responde more intelligently to their attack.
The sound from over to her left was more dull, not quit so much echo, that meant there had to be a structure there. Diving behind the structure Teresa waited in ambush for the first Titan to come round the corner.
She didn't have to wait long, shaped like a tiger Beast boy leaps over the top of the structure and directly into Teresa's staff, stunning him momentarily.
As the others engaged Teresa, Robin stood watching. He was still amazed by this girl. From listening to their conversation before the guy named Jason descended into the museum, He now knew her name was Teresa.
Even though she was blind, she fought with such skill, and determination, much like himself.
He watched as she lured the Titans behind the large air conditioning unit. Leaping over the top Beast is suddenly knocked senseless by Teresa's staff.
A slight grin spreads across his lips.
Not only was she skilled, but she was smart too!
He couldn't help but admire her.
Starteled by his sudden positive feelings toward her Robin shakes his head.
'Come on Robin, focuse! You need to capture her. She could be a criminal.'
Preparing to pick up the fight with her again, Robin is suddenly struck from behind, knocking him down. Instinctively rolling over, Robin narrowly escapes another blow from Jason. Giving a sharp whistle, Jason signals to Teresa that it was time to go. Leaping to the street with Robin hot on his tail, Jason turns to confront him.
Facing his opponent Jason stands ready for an attack.
Sizing Jason up, Robin can't help but wonder who this guy is, and what his relationship to Teresa is. Is he a friend, a relative, her......boyfriend?
Whoever he was he was obviously the one responsible for getting her into this mess. Robin glared at Jason as his animosity towards him grew.
"So, who are you? Her cousin, a friend, or her boyfriend?"
Jason didn't miss how the last word came out slightly strained. But why would Robin care if he was Teresa's boyfriend? Then it hit him, Robin liked his sister!
Oh, this was golden!
His sister's biggest hero liked her back.
With an amused smirk, Jason replies,
"Try older sibling."
A bit surprised Robin says, "Your her brother?"
But before Jason had an opportunity to respond Teresa came leaping onto the scene with a yell, landing between Robin and Jason. Following close behind her the other Titans arrive on the scene.
With staff raised, Teresa rushes at Robin who blocks with his own staff. Bearing down with all her wight and strength, Teresa tries to push Robin to the ground. Robin however is proving to be too strong for her this time, and he shoves back.
Watching his sister and Robin locked in thier fight, Jason thinks of the battle they have yet to fight. He knew Teresa didn't stand a chance against Alexanders thugs. he couldn't bear the thought of his sister getting hurt again, let alone killed!
When suddenly it dawned on him!
If the Titans captured her, then he could confront Alexander on his own with out having to worry about her.
Alexander would never be able to get his hands on her if she was with the Titans.
Running up to his sister, Jason shoves his staff behind hers and helps her to hold off Robin. Staring into Robins eyes, Jason says quietly, so only Teresa and Robin can hear,
"Forgive me sis, but you'll be safer here! I love you!"
With that he gives her a quick peck on the check and leaps away.
Teresa, confused by her brothers words, whirls around as horrofying realization hits her. He was leaving her here to be captured by the Titans while he went off to fight Alexander on his own.
Horrified Teresa hollers out,
"Jason!"
Listening intensly for the sound of his feet on the street so she could follow, only silence meets her ears.
Panic, fear, and anger begin to well up inside her.
"Jason! No!"
She screamed with desparation, but it was too late. He had gone! She would never be able to reach him in time, and he would never be able to survive the encounter.
A whirl wind of anger, frustration, and fear for her brothers life overwhelm her, and in an act of rage Teresa flings her staff with a yell. The Titans stand and watch as the staff flies through the air, pointed ends out, and sticks into a tree.
Robin stands, watching Teresa react to her brothers sudden actions. Only the two of them had heard what her brother had said.
He was trying to protect her. But from what?
Moved with compasion, and curiosity, Robin steps forward and places a hand gently on Teresa's shoulder, ony to be rewarded with a sudden attack.
Leaping away from Teresa's blows Robin blocks, refusing to attack back. He new what was fueling this attack, she wasn't mad at him, but at Jason.
Becoming slightly frustrated, Robin begins fighting back, trying to end the battle quickly.
This fighting was useless! The more time they wasted here, the less time they would have to find and help Jason. Looking for a weakness Roin notices that Teresa keeps favoring her right side. Giving her right side a gentle blow Robin is startled when Teresa cries out and crumples to the ground.
Walking over to her Robin asks,
"What's wrong? What happened?"
"Breathing hard from the fighting, and the pain, Teresa says through clenched teeth,
"It was a little gift from Jason's criminal boss Alexander because Jason failed to get the item from the museum last night."
"Alexander? Alexander Ruse!"
"Yes."
Cyborg pipes up, "That's the guy we've been gathering evidence on for the past few months."
If he was the one behind all this than they were in bigger trouble than Robin thought.
"Where was your brother going?"
"We were supposed to confront him tonight. Jason was going to put a stop to him."
A sudden thought of how Jason might accomplish this flashed across Robin's mind.
"How was he going to stop him?"
smiling a little ruefully Teresa replies,
"Alexander used Jason like a puppet, beat him up, and his sister. How would you put a stop to him?"
Thinking back to the time Slade had used him against his friends, Robin knew exactly what Jason was planning on doing.
"All right, this what were going to do. Beast boy, Cyborg, your with me. We'll track down Jason and help him stop Alexander, the right way! Raven, Starfire, I want the two of you to take Teresa back to the tower. Raven, see if you can't take care of her injuries. All right, let's move."
Having gotten back on her feet Teresa stops him.
"Wait! Your not going after my brother with out me."
Robin stares at Teresa, taking in her determined expression, but he couldn't let her come. Her brother wanted her safe, and with that broken rib she was in no condition to fight. And besides, Robin didn't want to see her get hurt either.
"You're not coming with us."
"He's my brother!"
"Your'e still not coming!"
"I am not one of your little team members that you can just order around! Now wether you like it or not I'm going with you!"
Angered by her stubborn refusal to stay out of the fighting Robin gets right in her face and says,
"You're not going! Your brother wanted you safe, that's why he left you here, and I'm not about to take you in to danger. So shut your mouth and go with Raven and Starfire!"
Having said his piece, Robin walked back to where Beast Boy and Cyborg were waiting. Turning to add one comment Robin says,
"Besides, with that rib you would be more of liability than a help."
With that said, Robin and the boys take off, following the tracking device Robin had planted on Jason.
Seething on the inside because of Robins last few comments, Teresa quietly says through clenched teeth,
"We'll just see about that Mr. Boy Wonder!"
Yey! new chapter!
So now the titans know what's going on they can help, i look forward to the next chapter where i think we're going to have a big fight!

This is very interesting. The way you've brought out the relationship between the siblings is quite skilled. I would mention this, though. Some of what you write is extremly hard for me to follow. The easiest was to remedy that would be to take up this convention. When you are writing somebody's thoughts, use italics (ctrl+i) and no quotation marks. That would make things much easier to understand.
Also, your spacing is still not very good (at least on my screen). Make sure to hit enter TWICE after each paragraph. It will look like too much space when you're writing it, but believe me - it won't be when it's posted. If you are using Microsoft Word to type this story (I don't think that you are, but I'm often wrong), just set the indent (under "paragraph") to a 0.5 inch 1st line indent. That would take care of it. If you need more explanation, just ask, cause I'd love to see you take this story to the next level.

I seriouly appreciate the feed back Kregor. I'll try to impliment these ideas on my next chapter. I do, however, plan on completely revizing the story once it is done. I'll be sure to let you all know when I'm done revizing it. The next chapter probably won't be ready until next week. I'll try to get it out earlier, but I don't know if I'll be able to.

Hey guys! Sorry this one is so late. I haven't had access to a computer for awhile. Well, here's the next installment. Hope you all enjoy it!
Chapter 11:
Silently he sits on the roof of Alexanders 40 story business headquarters. It was the very seat of his kingdom,...of his power. Pictures and scenes from the last two months flash across his mind. Every disgrace and indignity that he had suffered at Alexanders hands, every threat given and order issued are recalled, and serve only to strengthen his resolve to stop this evil madman.
As Jason stares vacantly across this never sleeping city, one final scene lingers in his mind. It was the one thing that had finally pushed him to this point. The image was of his little sister, lying motionless on the grass at the park. Her bruised and slightly bloody face contorted into an expression of pain.
Jason's hands turn to fists as he dwells on that final image.
She of all people hadn't deserved that!
That was your biggest mistake Alexander! And now, you're going to pay for that mistake!
With a determined expression etched into his face, Jason carefully lowers himself onto the only balcolny on this building. The balcolny that lead into Alexanders lair, ...his domain,... his "office". This would be the setting for Jason's final scene with Alexander. Whatever happened next, Jason knew that at least one of them wouldn't be coming out of that office alive, and he was determined that it wouldn't be him!
With one final look at the outside world, one last thought of his spirited little sister, Jason turns, and with a determined gait, walks through Alexanders door for the last time.
Pushing his accelarator as far as was reasonably possible, Robin, followed closely by Beast boy and Cyborg, races to find Jason before it's too late. Glancing down at the tracking unit, Robin notes the quikened beeping of the indicator signal.
We're getting close. I just hope we're not too late!
If what he had gathered from Teresa's comments was true, both Alexander and Jason were in for the fight of their lives, literally.
Thoughts of Teresa bring back to mind the scene they had just left. Teresa, fists clenched, jaw tight, and back rigid, had made the very picture of defiance.
She had been so determined to go with us.
Robin wondered how he would have reacted if their places had been reversed. A rueful smile spreads across his lips.
I probably would have reacted the same way, if not worse!
If he had judged Teresa correctly, Raven and starfire were going to have their hands' full trying to carry out his orders.
He wouldn't be surprised at all if she ended up showing up a little later on.
She's definitly loyal. You have to admire that!
Admiring her, however, was not something Robin had any difficulty doing, which both amused, and irritated him.
Suddenly realizing that he was missing his turn Robin throws his bike into a skid which turns him just enough to make the corner.
He had allowed himself to become distracted,...again!
Common Robin! Stay focused! You have a job to do.
With that, Robin quickly directs his thoughts to the matter at hand, and away from Teresa.
Still seething from having been ordered to stay behind, Teresa stands quiet and rigid in the street.
if Robin thinks he can keep me from helping my brother, he's got another thing coming!
But how to escape from Raven and Starfire! They have powers and I don't.
There's no way that I could ever out run them.
If only there were some way to distract them!
Gingerly reaching inside her belt, Teresa's fingers gently caress the cool smooth surface of six little balls.
Yes! I can use these!
Carefully she gathers them into her hand and waits for the right moment to use them.
Sensing Teresa's anger and desire to run after the boys, Raven catiously approaches her.
"It's time to go. Robin said that you have to come with us to the tower, so let's go."
With out turning around Teresa calmly replies,
"I'm not going with you."
"I'm sorry but you don't have a choice."
Sensing Teresa's defiance, Raven prepares to forcefully take Teresa with them when Teresa says,
"As my brother used to say, 'you always have a choice!'"
With that said Teresa whirls around with lightening speed and throws down a handful of small, shiny orbs that explode upon impact. Bright flashes of light and thick smoke fill the air. Taken off gaurd Raven and starfire are blinded, momentarily, by the bright flashes of light.
Screened by the smoke, Teresa takes off, fleeing from her wanna be captors. Running down the street and around a corner Teresa turns into the first alley she comes across. Pausing for a moment in the alley to chatch her breath and to gaher her thoughts, Teresa has to think quickly.
Raven and starfires eyes would readjust to the darknedd fairly quickly, and when they did the two of them would be hot on her trail.
Taking in a deep breath Teresa is rewarded by a sharp pain that streaks through her side. Clapming her mouth shut to keep from crying out in pain, Teresa grabs her side and waits for the pain to pass.
Why am I doing this? I really won't be able to fight very well with my side the way it is. But at least I'll be with him.
As the pain eases off, Teresa listens for a moment, then, satisfied that she isn't being pursued quiet yet, she heads off for Alexanders office building, sticking to the alley ways to keep Raven and starfire from finding her too quickly.
They would find her eventually, she just hoped that they didn't do so before she found Jason.
Another update! Yey!
That was great, you describe the characters well!
I look forward to more!

Hey Guys! I'M BACK!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry that I've been gone so long! My mom and I have been working on the house so I haven't had much time to work on the story. I do have the next section though. I hope you like it.
Chapter 12:
Pausing just inside the door way, Jason takes a moment to survey his surroundings.
The corner of exotic plants to his right gives off an earthy oder.
The massive ebony doors across the room appear as a large black hole. Allowing his eyes to flow from the doors to the fireplace, which lies beyond the illuminated desk in the center of the office, Jason's eyes come to rest on the solitary figuire that was his target.
Jason's knuckels turn white as his grip on his staff tightens.
Slowly walking over to the desk, Jason glances around the room, his eyes searching for Alexanders thugs.
He never went anywhere with out them, they had to be close by, but Jason found no trace.
'It has to be a trick.' Thought Jason.
Reaching into his belt, Jason pulls out the item he had been sent to steal. PLacing it oin the desk he takes a step back and waits.
Walking over to the desk Alexander picks up the item and says,
"Nicely done Jason! I must say, I doubted if you would be able to pull it off. But here you, and here is the item."
Alexander turns around and examines the item in the light.
Jason stares at Alexanders back, his gaze boring holes in it.
Now was his chance!
With one twist of his wrist, Jason's staff becomes a spear. Lifting it for a downward thrust, Jason is suddenly grabbed from behind by a pair of vice like hands and then thrown across the room.
Twisting around to land in a crouch, Jason glances around at the five massive figuires that suddenly materialize out of the sahdows.
Alexanders thugs had been there the entire time.
With a menacing grin they surround Jason, waiting, like a pack of trained dogs, for their master to give the order to attack.
Viewing the scene with mild amuzement, Alexander comments,
"Well! Indeed I am surprised. I didn't think you had it in you."
Jason replies cooly,
"You'd be surprised what people are capable of when motivated."
"Motivated! Why jason, I've been trying to motivate you to this point for the last two months."
Alexander watches as confusion washes over Jason's face.
'He's been 'trying' to get me to kill him? But why?'
A sly grin spreads across Alexanders face, he was enjoying this.
"I guess it was that incident with your sister that finally made you crack! You fell right into my trap Jason, just like your parents."
'My parents! What does he mean 'just like my parents'?'
"You didn't honestly think that your parents death was an accident did you?"
Realization suddenly dawns. The car wreck had not been an accident.
'The dojo! He wanted the dojo, but they wouldn't sell, so he killed them!'
Alexander watches as Jason's expresstion turns from confusion to hatred.
'Just wait Jason! I haven't dropped the big bomb yet.' Thought Alexander.
"You see Jason, just like your parents, you have been standing in the way of what I want as well, only you didn't know it."
"You have the dojo, you got everything that you wanted."
"Not everything!"
"What do you mean? What more could you possibly wa....."
It was then that it hit him. Teresa! He wanted Teresa! But why?
Watching Jason's horrified look as he began to realize what it was theat Alexander was truely after, Alexander comments,
"Yes! You finally realize! It was never about you. It has always been about your sister."
Seething inside jason asks,
"Why?"
"When I came to your parents dojo in order to pressure them into selling , I noticed you and your sister sparing in the other room. You were good, but I could tell that your sister was going to be much better. It was obvious that she had a gift for martial arts. Then, when I discovered that she was blind as well, I knew that I couldn't pass up the opportunity. Blind people have extremely acute senses, so when you mix in a profound skill at martial arts you have one very formidable opponent, ......or allie."
"She would rather die than work for you!"
"Yes, that will be true, at first anyways. You see, once you're out of the way, and I convince the social workers that she would be best in my care, she won't be able to escape. And by the time I'm through messing with her mind, she'll be as loyal to me as she was to you."
Jason stands in horrified shock and hatred of theis man. He now seen how truely evil Alexander was. Now more than ever Jason knew that Alexander had to be stopped, no matter what the cost!

Hey guys! I'm back! Although I am thankful for the comments I have recieved, I am a bit concerned by the low numbers of comments. One would almost think that you guys didn't really care for my story:crying: ! I certainly hope that isn't true! Well, in any case, here is the next chapter, I hope you all like it!
Chapter 13:
Running at a steady pace, the unnatural darkness, filled with many sounds, smells, and sensations, comes together to paint a sensory image of her surroundings, much more detailed than any visual image could ever be.
Sensing a fence ahead, Teresa vaultes over the top, a bit clumsily.
Landing hard on her feet, Teresa utters a slight groan as a sharp, knife like pain surges through her side.
She had to keep going. There was no telling when her pursuers would catch up to her.
Then again, Teresa knew that she couldn't keep this up much longer, she needed to rest.
Slowing down to a walk, a slight variation in sound signals a recessed door way to her left. Crawling into it, Teresa curls up and tries to calm her ragged breathing.
Thinking over how far she had come, Teresa knows that she has to be close.
"Oh Jason, Why couldn't you have just let me come with you?!"
These words, spoken in frustration, echo back to an earlier memory of happier times with her family.
Jason and her father had been preparing to go on a father son outing with several of the other boys and dads from their neighborhood.
She hadn't understood why she couldn't go along.
"But mom! I love camping, and I won't be any trouble, I promise!"
Her mother had responded very tenderly,
"My dear, your brother needs to be able to do some things on his own, with out you tagging along."
Teresa Smiled at the memory. She had many fond memoriesa of her family.
Taking a slightly deeper breath, as the burning in her lungs and legs subsuded, Teresa stands slowly to her feet.
Her mothers words echo through her mind.
"Yeah, but not this time."
Teresa said in answer to her mothers memory.
This time Jason needed her, and there wasn't anything that was going to stop her from being there for her brother, not anything, and not anyone!
Listening intently to her surroundings, Teresa attempts to locate her position.
Light traffic echos from the nearby main road, while the aroma of onion soup mingled with the delicate sweetness of a custard perfume the air.
'That would be the local French restuarant. It's just around the corner form the office building! I'm almost there!'
"Hang on Jason, I'm coming."
With that, Teresa sets off again on her quest to reach her brother, hoping, every step of the way, that she will be able to make it before her pursuers, Raven and Starfire, catch up with her.
Flying over head, Raven carefully scans the streets below, Her eyes searching for movement of any kind.
Glancing ahead of her, Raven takes in the massive office building belonging to Alexander Ruse.
According to the tracker on her communicator, the boys should be in that building.
Glancing to her left, Raven sees Starfire searching her section of streets and alleys.
Returning to her search Raven heaves a sigh.
Chances were slim that they would find Teresa before she reached the building.
She was just as skilled as Robin, if not more so, which meant that unless Teresa wanted to be found, they more than likely would not find her.
Stopping in mid-air, Raven is struck by a sudden thought.
'Teresa's mental signature is very similiar to that of Robins. If I can focuse in on that signature than I should be able to locate her.'
Closing her eyes, Raven focuses in on the unique signature that was Teresa.
It isn't long before she finds her.
"Found you! Starefire, I know where she is, let's go."
Flying over to Raven's side, Starefire exclaims joyously,
"You have found her! How glorious! Robin will be pleased! Let us now take her to the tower!"
Followed closely by Starfire, Raven hurries to intercept Teresa.
Keeping a mental lock on Teresa's position, Raven muses about her similarity to the rest of the Titans,
'If situations had been different, she might have been one of us.'
At that moment, a rush of images flash across Raven's mind.
The Titans, fighting an unseen enemy, are being beaten badly.
Raven, lieing on the ground, reaches for her communicator, and with desparation in her voice calls out,
"Wraith, Wraith! We need your help! Hurry!"
Then everything goes dark, only the darkness is filled with an overwhelming amount of noise, smells, and sensations.
Then, above the noise, Raven hears Teresa's voice saying,
"There are more ways of seeing than just with your eyes"
As the last scene fades from her mind, Raven is left stunned and confuse by what she has just seen.
Pushing the memories of the images to the back of her mind, Raven glances down just in time to see Teresa Preparing to enter the elevator that would take her to Alexanders office, and right into the middle of the fray.

(Don't make me beg!!:o )
Chapter 14:
With a wild yell born from desparation and emense fury, Jason hurls himself at the nearest thug.
Catching him off gaurd, Jason is able to flip over the massive brute and deliver a swift kick from behind, this sends the thug sprawling into the other four thugs.
Landing with his staff battle ready, his back to the balcolny, and his gaze trained on the evilly lit face of Alexander, Jason prepares to fight his way through the thugs to get to Alexander.
Returning Jason's gaze, Alexander can almost read his thoughts.
'Even if I die here, I will stop you!' Thinks Jason.
'You're a fool Jason!'
Alexanders thoughts are reflected in his voice as he says,
"Do you honestly think that you will be able to take them all on Jason? You are seriously outnumbered."
"I think you should count again Alexander!"
Startled by a new voice, Alexander glances past Jason to his balcolny door, only to discover three of the teen titans standing in the door way.
'What! No! They aren't supposed to be here! This can't be happening!' Thought Alexander.
Robin continued,
"I count four to five, and considering that it's us, I'd say it's your thugs who are outnumbered."
Surprised beyond belief, Jason stares at the Titans.
"What are you doing here?"
Stepping forward, a friendly smile on his face, Robin says,
"Your sister told us what was going on, so we thought we would follow you and lend a hand."
"Yeah, we couldn't let you hog all the fun. Now, let's kick some butt!" added Cyborg.
Listening in on this little conversation, Alexander seethes inside.
'So, it's your fualt that they came! Well, Teresa, this isn't over yet, I will get you for this! I swear!'
Turning to face the thugs, now with the Titans behind him, a surge of exhiliration coarses through Jason's body.
Maybe he wouldn't have to die here!
He could still stop alexander, and come out of this alive!
It was a good day!
I liked that chapter!
The way that Alexander is planning revenge against Teresa is interesting, i look forward to seeing how you do that, and the way the Titans came to save the day (and Jason) was a good way to get all the good guys on the same side
i also liked the last little bit about he could come out of it alive and still beat Alexander

Hey guys! Sorry to double post, but here's another chapter anyways.
Chapter15:
Cautiously approaching the fence, Teresa reches out her hand to caress the cold, metallic mesh which indicated it was a chain linked.
Ever so gently Teresa gives the mesh a shake.
Listening to the soft clining of the metal as it traveles upwards, she figuires, that the fence is appraoximately 8 feet in hieght.
As the vibrations reach the top however, there is another sound, a metallic sound that slightly differs from what the rest of the fence made.
'There must be something else on top of the fence.' Thought Teresa.
Reaching back into her belt she feels for her staff only to find empty space.
'Shoot! I must have left it some where.'
Thinking back, Teresa suddenly remembers what she had done with it.
'I sent it flying back at the museum. From the sound it made when it stopped it must have buried itself into a telephone pole or else a tree. Well, good thing I always keep a spare.'
Bending down, Teresa reaches in next to her calf and retrieves her spare staff from it's harness.
Activating it, she reaches up and taps the top of the fence.
The metal, slinky like, sounds that it produces tell her all she needs to know.
The fence is topped by barbwire.
This would add another foot and a half to the fences hieght.
She was going to have to jump 10 feet in order to clear it safely.
Under any normal circumstances this would not have been a problem, but considering her injuries, This would be a challenge!
Taking a deep breath, Teresa sets her jaw in a determined stance.
Then, holding her staff at waist hieght Teresa paces away from the fence about 30 feet.
Turning on her heel, so that she faces the fence, she extendes her staff to it's fullest length, and then charges at the fence.
Almost to the fence, Teresa plants the end and pushes up, vaulting herself above the fence, barely clearing it.
Just as she is in mid-air , however, a sharp pain streaks across from her side and through the middle of her body, throwing her off balance.
With a slight cry of pain Teresa lands hard on the pavement.
Rolling over and onto her knees, she holds her side, desprately trying to remain calm while she waits for the pain to subside.
As the pain ebbs, Teresa tries to stand up, a task which posses slight difficulty.
She had to be more careful!
Straightening up gingerly, Teresa, still holding her staff, colapses it and returns it to her belt.
At least she had made it over the top.
Approaching the building, Teresa extends her hand so that it rests gently on the rough stoney surface of the office building.
'Now, where is that elevator Jason told me about? He said it was on the back side of the building and that it went directly to Alexanders office.'
Walking towards what she hoped was the back of the building, Teresa keeps her hands on the stone.
Suddenly, the stone gives way to smooth, cold metal. She had found the elevator.
Feeling around the edges for the button to open it, she comes across a key pad.
Three of the numbers were very worn. The 3, the 6, and the 1.
The 6 seemed to have suffered the most ware.
'All right, codes are generally 3, 5, 7, or 9 digits in length, so if we say 5 digits, what order would they come in.'
Trying to place herself in Alexanders mind, Teresa is struck upon by a thought.
'Alexander is a man obssessed with power. Especially the power that fear brings.'
Then it dawned on her.
'What two numbers inspire fear in more people, 13, and 666! That's it!'
Hurdely typing in the two numbers, Teresa is rewarded by a gentle ping, indicating that the doors were opening.
Preparing to step inside, Teresa stops short as another, all to familiar, sound reaches her ears.
It was the oddly pitched hum that always accompanied a certain Teen Titan.

This is a great story!!!
Chapter 11: You describe emotions brilliantly. My favorite thing is how you show the way Teresa's mind works, seeing as she can't see. I know you do it the same way for the others, but it's better because you show us exactly how she does things.
And do I sense either a very strong friendship or a romacne between Robin and Teresa? :)
Chapter 12: And here is the big twist. He's after Teresa. I liked how Jason handled things, and the way he reacted to everything Alexander said. Wow. Great Job.
One thing though, and this is just in general. When you're changing a scene and the characters in it, make sure people can tell by putting a symbol in or something.
Chapter 13: Great chapter, as usual. I loved the way you describe everybody's emotions. BUt maybe you could use a little more detail.
'If situations had been different, she might have been one of us.'
I thought she was going to become one anyway? BUt it doesn't seem fair for Raven to say that about Teresa, becqauae somebody could say the exact same about her!
Chapter 14: I'm running out of compliments, because there aren't many critisms. My two favorite lines:
"I count four to five, and considering that it's us, I'd say it's your thugs who are outnumbered."
That made me laugh!
It was a good day!
That too!
Chapter 15: I have now learned to expect great things from you, this was no exception. I love the way Teresa does things, with the fence and the numbers. She's so cool! :D
I'm sorry I haven't kept up with this! I really should have.... Keep up the fantastic work!
Ciao,

I love it. I'm still here, but I have been rather busy. Right now I'm usually at school for anywhere from 10-14 hours. *blegh* But I finally got caught up. :D I enjoy the chapters, and I seriously hope that Teresa can figure out what's going on and get out of it/ take Alexander out. A lot of Alexanders are bad characters. I just noticed that. I like the way you manage to describe things from her POV. Nice picture you paint. I wish I could paint pictures as well as you. Please update as soon as you get the chance. The only real complaint I have is your spelling of ally. But that's okay. :D
Don't worry! I am here!
That was a good update!
Raven's coming to stop Teresa! But will she?

Hey guys! Thank you so much for the feed back!! I really can't tell you enough how much it means to me! I was really getting discouraged there! I apologize for the spelling errors. I've never really been all that great at spelling. As for Chapter 13, There is just so much to this story, if I was to describe everything I think of, it would never get done!! I will try to be more descriptive though. Chapter 16 is already done, I should be able to post it either friday or saturday. Don't miss that chapter! You all are going to hate me!!!! But in a good way!!=) Well, I have to go! Good luck with all of your stories! Be sure to get back to my story when you can! I understand being busy!!
P.S. Those two lines from the story mentioned in the previous comments were a couple of my favorites as well!!

Hey guys! Sorry to double post again, but here is the next chapter. I hope you all like it!:)
Chapter 16:
They came with a rush, all five of them, but the Titans, and Jason, were ready.
Cyborg took out the first thug with a blast from his cannon, Beast Boy, transformed into a gorilla, smashes a second into the floor and knocks a third flying into the wall.
Bringing his staff into play, Robin delivers several swift, strategically placed, blows to the fourth thug, while Jason does the same with the fifth.
The entire battle lasted but a few seconds, and it was over as quickly as it had begun.
Glancing around, Jason isn't satisfied yet.
The adrenaline pumping through his veins is fed by his seething anger towards Alexander.
It was Alexander he wanted!
Searching the room for the object of his hatred, Jason spots him trying to escape.
In his mind Jason screams at Alexander,
'Run you coward! Because tonight, you pay for your crimes!'.
Leaping over the fallen thugs, Jason hurries to catch Alexander.
Watching his thugs being beat, Alexander knows it's time to leave.
Making his way quietly to the elevator, he prepares to press the down button when.... "Alexander!".
Turning at Jason's yell, Alexander is greeted by Jason's foot as he sends him flying into the wall with one kick.
Lying on the floor stunned, Alexander tries to stand and defend himself, but is too slow.
Hoisting Alexander to his feet, Jason delivers one blow after another into his gut.
He would have continued this punishment until he'd beaten Alexander to death were it not for the intervention of Cyborg and Robin.
Grabbing Jason by the arms, Cyborg lifts him up slightly off the ground.
Holding on firmly while Jason struggles to be free, so he can finish what he started, Cyborg says simply,
"Take it easy man."
Catiously approaching the still squirming Jason, Robin tries to calm him down.
"Jason! Calm down. It's not worth it!"
Jason spits back at Robin,
"Not worth it! He killed my parents, beat up my sister, used me, tried to kill me, and he even threatened to...."
"It doesn't matter what he's done!"
Robin say's, interrupting Jason before he could tell Robin about Alexanders plans for Teresa.
"Nothing he has done is worth turning yourself into a murderer for! I mean, think of your sister!"
With an unwavering gaze, Jason stares back at Robin and replies,
"I am!".
Something in the way Jason said 'I am' made Robin stop and think,
'What is going on that we don't know about?'.
Glancing down at Alexander, who was trying to get up, Jason thinks about what Robin said,
' "Nothing he's done is worth turning yourself into a murderer for!" '
Dropping his head, Jason ceases to struggle.
'Robin's right! As much as I hate Alexander, I still have no right to kill him.'
Figuiring it was safe to let go, Cyborg releases his hold on Jason, steps back, and says,
"Come on man, let's get you home to that sister of yours."
Jason warms at the thought of seeing Teresa. He'd been so sure he wasn't going to make it out alive.
But here he was, alive and well, with his whole future ahead of him.
And Teresa! Jason smiled.
He'd get to see her finish growing up, and find out what happens between....
Glancing at Robin, Jason ponders,
' I wonder just how interested he is in Teresa?'
With that last, slightly amusing thought, The three of them turn to head for the balcolny.
As the trio reaches the middle of the desk, Beast Boy, who had been waiting for them, suddenly gets a startled look on his face and yells,
"Dudes! Look Out!"
The three of them turn just in time to see Alexander aiming what appeared to be a pen pistol.
Suddenly, everything seemed to go into slow motion.
Jason watches as Alexander aims the pen pistol at Robin.
Horrifying realization grips Jason as it dawns on him what Alexander intended.
He was going to try and kill Robin!
Robin was the leader of the Titans, with out Robin, there would be no Titans!
With out the Titans to gaurd the city, the city would suffer!
Jason knew he couldn't let that happen.
As Alexander fires the pistol, Jason shoves Robin out of the way.
Knowing he would take the hit instead of Robin, Jason braces for the excruitiating pain and impact of a bullet as it tore through his flesh.
But instead of a burning, tearing sensation, he recieves a stinging prick!
Glancing down in confusion, Jason is surprised to see a dart sticking out of his upper arm.
Jason's expression of confusion is quickly replaced by horror as he realizes what the dart meant.
A movement to his right signals the return of normal time as Cyborg fires a net that pins Alexander to the wall.
The whole scene lasted only a few seconds, but in those seconds, everything changed!
Realizing what just happened, Robin rushes to Jason's side and examines the dart, while Cyborg scans Jason's arm.
From the way Robin handles the dart, and the expression of dismay on Cyborgs face, Jason knows that his first suspicion is true.
The dart contained poison!
Please don't kill Jason! Please? Don't make me beg!

Hey guys! Here's another chapter! Sorry it took so long.
Chapter 17:
Diving into the open elevator, Teresa listens as the vibration of Raven's hum shifts to a slightly faster one.
She had been spotted!
With an ever quickening pulse, Teresa's mind screams,
'Think Teresa, Think! There has to be a way out of this!'
Like a sudden lightning bolt from heaven, she is struck upon by an idea.
Climbing onto the railings Teresa reaches up and grabs ahold of the grating at the top of the elevator.
Letting her fingers walk out towards the center, she pauses as they find empty space.
'That has to be the escape hatch. If I'm right, the handle should be right... There!'
Grasping hold of the handle, Teresa takes a deep breath, and with a mighty tug, pulls on the handle.
A distinct click reaches Teresa's ears, signaling that the hatch had been released.
With trembling arms, she tries desparately to push it open, but she doesn't have the strength.
With an exhausted moan, Teresa stands back up and grabs the gratting above her head.
Her body screamed for rest, but she couldn't stop, not now.
Grasping the grating even tighter, Teresa takes a deep breath, swings her legs up, and kicks the hatch open.
Dropping back down onto the elevator floor, Teresa jumps up, catches the rim of the hatch, pulls herself up into the shaft, and rolls over onto her back.
Sharp pain streaks through her side with every heavy breath.
The cool metal feels good against her overheated and sore body.
Every muscle felt weak, and she knew this whole ordeal was saping her strength, and the pain....!
Teresa didn't know how much longer she could keep this up.
'Maybe I should just give up and go to the tower with Raven and Starfire. I mean, Jason has three of the Titans with him. I would probably only get in the way.'
Yet even as the thought crossed her mind, a strong surge of determination rose up from with in her.
It was like a voice saying,
'No! You can't give up! Jason needs you! You must fight this, you must reach him!'
Spurred on by this fresh dose of determination, Teresa rises to her feet, and then almost falls over as the elevator suddenly feels as though it is spinning.
Reaching her hand out to balance herself, Teresa lays hold of what feels like a pipe.
Feeling around the pipe like object, she finds it connected to other pipe like objects going both side to side and up and down.
Then it hits her, 'it's a ladder!' Grasping the rungs with both hands Teresa prepares to climb.
Like a warm humming blanket, Teresa is suddenly surrrounded by Raven's hum, except it has taken on a tangible form.
Ever so gently, Teresa feels herself being pulled away from the ladder. Desparate to reach her brother, Teresa clings onto the ladder with all her might.
Still, Raven continues to try and pull Teresa to her.
All of the frustration, anxiety, fear, and determination inside of Teresa suddenly boils out in a desparate cry of,
"NOOO!"
A bit surprised by this sudden out burst, Raven stops tugging at Teresa, but maintains her hold.
Were it not for the look of desparation on Teresa's face, she would have reminded Raven of a spoiled child.
Reaching out with her senses towards Teresa's mind, Raven asks her,
"Why are you so determined to be with your brother? You won't be able to help, and you may even be injured more."
Though her voice shook, there was no mistaking the strength with which Teresa spoke,
"He's my brother and he's in trouble. I have to be there, I don't know why, I just know that I do."
As Teresa spoke, Raven's senses were suddenly flooded with a whirl wind of emotions and thoughts.
Most of them Raven expected, the anger, frustration, fear, and determination, those were normal, but there was something else underneath it all that caught Raven's attention.
There was more to this one than just emotion. I
t was as if it's origins weren't even from Teresa.
It was from....!
Raven gave a little gasp as it dawned on her what she was seeing.
This was the brother-sister bond between Teresa and Jason!
So then this sense was from Jason.
Looking at it closer, Raven's heart sinks at what she finds.
'no wonder Teresa has been fighting to get to her brother.'
Teresa wasn't telepathic, so chances were she didn't know what was wrong, or why she felt the way she did, but Raven knew.
Backing out of Teresa's mind, Raven releases her hold on Teresa.
She didn't care what Robin's orders had been, Teresa was going to be with her brother, and she was going to take her there.
Taken a bit off gaurd by Raven's sudden release of her, Teresa stands there silently.
Her voice laced with confusion, Starfire asks,
"Are we not taking Teresa to the tower?"
As Raven spoke, Teresa listened, not to just the words, but to Raven herself.
Her hum had taken on a slightly lower pitch, and the vibration had slowed.
"No starfire, we are going to take her to her brother."
"I don't understand. Why aren't you taking me to the tower?" Teresa asked.
Raven debated whether or not she should tell Teresa the real reason.
She decided not to.
"Who am I to keep family apart."
Not knowing how to thank her, Teresa steps forward, gently embraces Raven and whispers,
"Thank you".
As the girls descend into the elevator, one last ominous thought floats through Raven's mind,
'You may not be so thankful when we get there.'
With that last thought, the three of them fly off to the top of the building, and towards whatever may await them.

Glad to see your still interested!:)
Here's the next chapter!
Chapter 18:
Clinging to the end of the dart, like a person clinging to life, a single drop of amber colored liquid betrays what had once been contained in the darts now empty chamber.
shutting his eyes for a moment, Robin envisions the toxic liquid, now running through Jason's viens.
The toxic liquid that should have been running through his own.
Opening his eyes, Robin studies Jason's expression.
A furrowed brow is accopanied by a far off gaze, both of which are tinged with sadness.
The one thing Robin doesn't see, is fear.
Dropping his gaze, Robin wonders how calm he would be if the dart had struck him like it should have.
Jason must have known what the dart contained, he was a smart guy, and yet, he had risked his life anyways.
Staring down at the dart, Robin thinks,
'Jason risked his life, now I'm gonna make sure he doesn't have to give it.'
Clenching his fist around the body of the dart, Robin sets his jaw and walks over to Cyborg asking,
"What is it and how can we stop it?"
Taking a deep breath, Cyborg tries to remain calm, but his expresstion of dismay only serves to increase Robins anxiety.
"It's a powerful poison, but there aren't any known records of it. No one knows what it is,..... or how to treat it."
This information hit Robin like a blow to the gut.
Cyborgs revelation could mean only one thing,
"So what you're saying is there isn't any.."
"No." Cyborg replied grimly.
About that time Beast boy cries out,
"Dudes! Jason!"
Robin turns just in time to see Jason swaying to and fro.
His face was white, and his eyes were slightly glazed.
Rushing to his side, Robin catches him just before he falls.
"Jason, what's happening?"
Robin asks, a bit alarmed, he wasn't expecting the poison to act this quickly!
Jason's response is a bit muddled as Robin loweres him to the ground.
"I just feel so weak."
Lieing him on the floor, Robin notes how Jason's body seemes to be quivering, and his breathing was much more shallow.
Lying on the floor, Jason gazes up into three worried faces.
He knew he was dieing, he could feel the poison working, and there was nothing any of them could do.
Giving a half-hearted chuckle, Jason say's,
"Well, I guess I won't be ... walking out of here after all."
Jason had to pause in the middle of his sentence to take a breath.
'Guess that's just a side effect of the poison.' Thought Jason.
The other guys didn't find jason's joke very amusing.
Frustrated, Robin turns to Cyborg and with a slightly strained voice asks,
"Is there nothing we can do? Isn't there some way we can stop it, or even slow it down? There has to be something! Anything!"
Cyborg shut his eyes for a moment and dropped his head, shaking it slightly.
He understood how Robin felt. He himself had already scanned all available databases on the subject looking for something, anything that would help, but there just wasn't anything there.
He might be able to make an antidote, but Jason would be dead long before it was done.
"I can't find anything that would help, and it would take too long to make an antidote. I'm sorry man, there just isn't anything we can do!"
As Cyborg spoke, Robin's stomach twisted into knots.
"Aarrgh! we can't just stand here and watch while he...!"
Cyborg glances up at his friend.
Robins eyes were shut, his head down, his hands clenched at his sides, Robin had never handled death very well.
Cyborg just hoped Robin wouldn't do anything foolish.
Frustration, anger, sorrow, helplessness, they all surged within him like a tulmultuous sea.
'I can't just let jason die like this! There has to be something, anything, that we can do! Think Robin, think!'
It was then it hit him, like a ray of hope, only tainted by a distasteful act.
'Alexander would have an antidote. He's no fool! If he purchased a poison, he would have an antidote, just in case he accidentally poisoned himself.'
Turning on his heel, Robin stalks over to where Alexander remains pinned to the wall by Cyborgs net.
With grim determination marking his face Robin thinks,
'I'm going to get that antidote, one way,...or another!'
Nice twist, you make it seem like there's no hope, but suddenly bring hope back into the story!

Hey guys! Thanks for commenting. I'm glad to see you all are liking it. So with out further adue, here's the next chapter!
Chapter 19:
Making his way over to Alexander, and getting right into his face, Robin gives him a look that would have made even the toughest of criminals cringe.
Grabbing his shirt front, Robin pulls Alexander hard into the tight net, adding emphasis to his words.
"All right you scum, where do you keep the antidote? Tell me now!"
Undettered by Robins intimidation tactics, Alexander begins to chuckle.
He had the upper hand now, and he was going to use it to his advantage.
"you think you can bulley me into telling you? If he lives or dies your still going to throw me into prison, so why save him when I was going to kill him anyways!"
Like a seething volcano, Robins anger boils inside him, barely contained.
Slamming Alexanders head into the wall and then jerking him back against the net hard, Robin yells,
"Listen here, you sorry excuse for a human. You're going to tell me where that antidote is or I'm gonna make a crater where your face used to be!"
Staring back into Robins rage filled eyes, Alexander doubts for a moment whether or not his plan is a wise one.
If there was one thing, however, that held true with super hero's it was that they valued life!
Which meant, no matter how much Robin might want to smash Alexander into a bloody pulp, he wouldn't.
Gambeling he'd judged the situation correctly, Alexander say's mockingly,
"Oh yes, I can see it now, Robin the boy wonder,...common murderer!
Oh won't that like nice in the scrap book!"
Alexanders comments serve as the final blow, the volcano that was Robins fury, boiled over!
Reaching his fist back with a yell, Robin prepares to to smash Alexanders face in.
Horror struck, Alexander squints his eyes shut, preparing for the blow that would erase his exisitence, when,
'Crunch!'.
Surprised to find his face intact, Alexander opens his eyes and turns his head just slightly.
What greets his eyes sends a cold shiver down his spine.
A hairs bredth away from his head, buried into the wall past his wrist, is Robins green gloved hand.
With a snarl, Robin extracts his hand from the wall and walks away, even more frustrated than before.
Cyborg, who had been standing near by, walks over and examins the hole.
Turning to Alexander, he says grimly,
"That could have been your head!".
With that said, Cyborg turns and follows Robin.
In grim silence, Beast Boy watches helplessly as Jason's condition worsens.
Even though he had battled many villians with the Titans, he had never seen anyone die like this.
'And to think, this could have been Robin!'
The thought sends a shiver down his spine.
Glancing up as Robin and Cyborg approach, Beast Boy comments,
"He's not doing so good."
The infuriated expression on Robin's face softens to one of pained frustration.
Kneeling down beside Jason, Robin reaches over and checks his pulse,
it was fast!
Jason's breathing had quikened as well, coming in shorter gasps.
The slight quiver he had noticed ealier was now a visible shaking.
He was getting steadily worse, and all they could do was watch!
'This isn't right! I'm supposed to be the hero, the one who saves the civilian! I wish there was somthing I could!'
"You know, there are other ways of getting what you want then just by force."
Robin's body tenses as Alexanders voice breaks through his thoughts.
The very sound of that mans voice made Robin sick!
Rising slowly to his feet, Robin turns to face Alexander, having a pretty good idea where this was going.
"And your point is?"
Robin asks with a strained voice.
Smiling a slight devilish smile, Alexander replies calmly,
"We can always, make a deal."

Hey guys! Glad your liking it! Well, here's the next chapter, hope you like this as well.
Chapter 20:
Disgusted beyond belief, Robin stands staring at Alexander.
The very thought of making a deal with this man sickened him.
Yet, if could mean getting the antidote,
"What kind of deal?"
A look of sweet victory spreads across Alexanders face as he prepares to lay his 'offer' on the table.
"In exchange for the antidote, you will give me all the evidence you have gathered against me, and you will release me to go free."
'Let him get off scott free! Who does this maniac think I am?' thought Robin.
Opening his mouth to protest Alexanders terms, he is stopped by Alexanders next statement.
"Think about it Robin. All I'm asking is one life in exchange for another! Is that so much to ask? Or will you condemn an innocent man to death just you can catch your villian?"
Robin shut his mouth tight as Alexanders words sunk into his head, his loathing of Alexander reaching an all time high.
Yet, as much as Robin hated him, Alexander had a point.
'I can always track Alexander down again, but I can't bring Jason back from the dead.'
Dropping his head, and heaving a sigh of defeat, Robin prepares to accept Alexanders offer when suddenly,
"NO!...Don't let him... get away!"
Starteled by Jason's sudden outburst, Robin kneels down beside Jason.
He could understand how Jason felt, he didn't want Alexander free either, but it was more important to make sure Jason lived.
"Jason, I can always track him down again, but I can't bring you back to life!"
Reaching out with a shaking hand, Jason grabs Robins arm and says,
"Do you honestly... believe...that he would...give you the...antidote? He wants me...dead. he...Aarrgh!"
Jason cries out in pain as a sudden cramp siezes him, turning him double.
Robin winces as his arm is nearly crushed under Jason's surprisingly strong grip.
Taking this moment, Alexander calls out,
"Time is running out hero. Make your decision, before it's too late!"
"NO!"
Jason yells through the pain.
Staring into Alexanders eyes, Jason replies cooly,
"I told you...I would stop you... if it was the last... thing I did! You won't...win this one...Alexander!"
Turning to Robin, Jason says,
"I'd rather die...than see that man... go free!"
Starring into Jason's eyes, Robin sees his own insane determination reflected there.
He'd have responded the same way if their positions were reversed.
But how could he condemn this man to death?!
Bowing his head, Robin takes a deep breath to calm the emotions and thoughts that raged in his mind and heart.
He knew what he had to do.
Standing to his feet, Robin faces Alexander, a slight grimace marking his features as yet another cramp tears through Jason's body.
Alexander waits anxiously for Robins response.
'Surely he wouldn't listen to the man. He will agree to the deal! He has too!'
"Well! What have you decided?"
Taking a deep breath, Robin says,
"It's Jason's life, it's his decision, and he's decided to not let you free."
Shocked and infuriated, Alexander begins to yell,
"Are you insane? You're just going to let him die! You're the hero, you can't do that! You fool! You absolute...."
Alexanders ravings are cut short as he is knocked unconcious by a blow from Cyborg.
Turning back to Jason, Robin kneels down beside him, sick at heart because of the decision he'd been forced to make.
He knew he had made the right chose, but now Jason would die, and he would be the one who'd have to tell Jason's sister that he had failed to protect her brother, that Jason died saving his life!
Suddenly, Jason grabs Robins arm for a second time.
His breathing made it hard for him to talk, but he managed to say,
"Robin, I need... to ask you...A favor!"

Hey guys! Here's another chapter! I hope you like this!
chapter 21:
Kneeling on a disk of Raven's tangible hum, Teresa's thoughts linger on her brother.
He had always been so kind and gentle with her, even when he should have been mad.
A memory of one such occassion floats through her mind.
Jason and her had been at the park one afternoon.
She had been twelve at the time.
It was warm summers day, the air perfumed with the smell of flowers and barbeque delighted her nose.
Some of her friends wanted her to show them some of her martial arts moves.
Jason had warned her many times about showing off, but like any kid she didn't listen.
Sure enough, she tried one of the new moves Jason had taught her, only something went wrong and she ended up spraining her ankle.
She was worried Jason would be mad, but he had simply picked her up and carried her home.
Once they got home, and he took care of her ankle, he had set her on the couch and asked calmly if she had learned anything.
She most certainly had learned something.
She'd learned to see her brother as not only her brother and friend, but her hero.
Jason thought her greatest hero was Robin and the other titans, but he was wrong.
He was her greatest hero!
As the memory lingered for a few moments more, tears began to spill down her cheeks.
She couldn't understand why this intense feeling of grief wouldn't leave.
'He's with the titans! He has to be fine!'
But no matter how much she argued with herself, she couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong.
'Hang on Jason! I'm almost there! PLease be O.K., please!'
Staring at Jason's pale yet pleading face, Robin is amazed yet again by this man.
'He saved my life and now he's pleading with me for a favor! As if I would deny him anything! I owe him my life!'
"Anything Jason! Just name it!"
"My sister...Teresa...Aarrgh!"
Jason cries out in pain as yet another cramp siezes him.
Robin waits patciently for the cramp to pass and then asks,
"What about Teresa?"
Jason tries to take several deep breaths, but can only manage a few short gasps.
It was so hard to breath, let alone talk!
"You see...I'm the only...family she...has left! She'll be...alll...alone!"
Jason's words wash over Robin, like reliving a nightmare.
'Two parents, an older brother, it's my family all over again!'
Robin sits in stunned silence as Jason continues his request.
"I want you... to take care...of her. To be...her family!"
It takes a moment for Jason's request to finally sink in to Robin's still stunned brain.
When it finally hits him what Jason is asking for, Robin is shocked.
'He want's me to take care of her!'
"Jason, I...I don't.."
Jason grips Robins arm more tightly.
Robin was the only one he knew who would be able to understand or handle his spirited sister.
He had to convince Robin to take care of her.
Staring into Robins eyes, Jason pleads all the more,
"Please Robin!...You have to...promise me...You'll take care of her! Please!"
Jason's desparate voice, and pleading eyes tug at Robin's heart.
He had told Jason he would do anything, and now he was saying no!
'You owe him your life Robin, the least you can do is take care of his sister!'
PLacing a hand on the one that gripped his arm, Robin stares right back into Jason's eyes and says fimrly,
"Jason, I will take care of your sister as if she were my own. I swear it!"
Seeing the sincerity and determination in Robins face, Jason lays his head back on the floor and heaves a sigh.
He now knew Teresa would be safe, and well cared for.
"Thank you!... Thank you!...I know...She'll be...in good hands. Now I...Just wish... I could...See her one...Last time!"
As another cramp seized Jason, Robin reached for his communicator.
If Raven could teleport Teresa here, they might make it in time.
Flipping the communicator open, Robin prepares to call Raven when,
"Jason!"
A yell from the balcolny startles the boys.
Galncing over to the door, Robin is surprised to see Teresa running over to her brother, followed closely by Raven and Starfire.
Stepping back, Robin watches as Teresa reaches her brother.
The tears were already streaming down her face.
She knew he was dieing.
Her tears said it all. G
lancing up at Raven, Robin notes the saddness in her face.
He didn't know how she had known to bring Teresa here, and frankly, he didn't care, they were here, and that was all that mattered.
"Teresa!... Your here!...I was hoping..., to see you... one last...time."
"you'll see me plenty when your well."
Even though her words were hopefull, her voice betrayed the truth that she knew.
"I'm not... going to... get better... and you... know it."
Speaking through her sobs, Teresa says,
"Jason, you can't die! Please! i need you! Please!"
Jason tenderly places a hand on his sisters tear stained face.
"Everything will... be o.k.!... You'll see!... You won't be... alone,... I promise!... I'll always... be watching... over you!... Always!... I'm so proud... of you Terry!... You're going... to make a... fine young woman... some day!"
"I love you Jason, you were always my greatest hero!"
Jason stares into his sisters face, touched by her words.
There was so much he wanted to tell her, but there wasn't time.
He could feel himself slipping away.
He had to say one last thing though.
"And you...were always...mine!"
And with those last few words, went Jason's final breath, as he slipped from this life into eternity.
As Jason's hand went limp, slid from her face, and fell to his side, The flood gates of Teresa's soul flung open.
She could hold back the tide of emtions no longer.
falling onto her brothers now still chest, Teresa makes no attempt to stem the tide of her tears, or to quiet her sobbs.
She had now lost everything that had been important to her, and nothing would stop her from grieving her loss.

I'm glad you all liked the last chapter! It was a bit of a challenge to get it just right. When I finally posted it I still wasn't completely thrilled with it. Anyways, there is still another rather emotional chapter to go before we're through with the death scene.
I'm kind of having trouble working out the details for the next few chapters. I know generally what I want to happen, but I'm just not sure how to proceed. If you guys have any suggestions, please let me know!
And don't worry! Alexander will get his just deserts in the end!
I should have another chapter ready to post by thursday or friday. So stay tuned! :)

Hey guys! I know I'm a day late, sorry! But here's the next chapter anyways! Hope you like it!
Chapter22:
Standing in a rough circle, the titans are silent, as tears make their way down each cheek.
Glancing from one titan to the next, Raven takes in the scene before her.
They stood in Alexander's massive office.
The illuminated desk off to her left cast a strange, almost erie light on the scene.
Standing at the far end of the desk, Beast Boy tries to comfort a sobbing Starfire, while attempting to dry his own tear filled eyes.
Droping her gaze to the floor, Raven watches for a moment, a heart broken Teresa as she continues to sob uncontrolably over her brothers still lifeless form.
As she watches, however, a sudden wave of compasion and sorrow begin to wash over her.
Closing her eyes for a moment, Raven takes a deep breath and tries to calm herself.
The last thing they needed was for her to lose control.
Emotions now under tight control, Raven continues to scan the room.
Glancing over to her right she comes upon Cyborg.
The strong, seemingly indestructible, Titan was not even facing the scene.
He was turned away from it with his eyes tightly shut.
As raven looked closer, she discovered there were tears running down his one human cheek.
She wasn't surprised.
Unlike most people, Raven knew that deep down, Cyborg had a large, very compasionate heart.
Glancing about the room Raven notes that there was one Titan missing, Robin!
A little confused as to why Robin would have left, Raven heads for the balcolny.
Upon reaching the door Raven stops.
There, standing by the rail, was Robin.
He stood in silence, his back rigid, and his hands, clenched into fists at his sides.
a bit concerned Raven flosta a bit closer.
What she sees causes her even greater concern, for running down both his cheeks, were tears!
In all the time she had known Robin, Raven couldn't recall a single time when Robin had cried.
As far as she knew, none of them had ever seen him shed a single tear.
Yet here he was, crying, and...Shaking!
'why is he reacting this way? He didn't really even know them!' Raven wonders.
Concerned, Raven decides to probe into his mind, to find out what was bothering him, maybe to help him.
The moment Raven's mind touches Robins, her mind is suddenly blasted by a swirling hurricane of emotions.
Anger, sorrow, loliness, fear, guilt, all strong, and all swirling in a chaotic storm that threatened to tear her apart.
Overwhelmed by this rush of emotions, Raven tries desparately to shield herself from the onslaught, but is only partially successful.
Enduring the emotional storm, Raven presses on, trying to find the source of the tumult, when suddenly a flurry of images flashes before her.
She is surrounded by images of a seemingly happy family.
Their bright costumes and the pictures of them flying through the air at the circus tell of their occupation.
They were a family of trapeeze artists.
There was a mother, a father, and two sons.
The youngest looked alot like Robin!
'That must be his family.' Raven thought.
The images continued to flash by, birthdays, performances, family activites, they had truely been happy.
The images however suddenly changed, and not for the better.
The happy images were suddenly replaced by very tragic ones.
The family, stationed in the rafters, gaze down at a madman with a half mutilated face.
They watch as this madman hoists a bomb into the rafters, intent on blowing up the circus.
Raven watches the images change, as the family attemtps to get rid of the bomb by pushing it out through a hole in the roof.
Robin is the one who pushes it the rest of the way out through the hole.
It was the one thing that saved him.
While he is on the roof, The adman glances up to see his plan being foiled.
Enraged, he leans back and fires his gun into the rafters, severing the lines the family was suspended from.
Raven watches, grimacing, as each member falls, hitting the floor with a sickening thud.
Then glancing up, Raven catches a glimps of a face that would haunt her for a long time to come.
It was Robins face, a face of pure anguish and horror.
Raven tries to close out the image as sickening realization flows over her.
'He actually seen his family die!'
As the final tragic image fades from veiw, it is replaced by another one.
This one, however, is of Robin in the graveyard.
He's standing by three freshly dug graves.
Each tomb stone is engraved by a family members name.
As Raven watches, the images shift, it's no longer Robin that stands there, but Teresa!
The names are gone on the tomb stones, all except for the last one which is marked with the name Jason.
Realization hits Raven like a lightening bolt.
'It's like he was living his families tragedy all over again!'
The simililarities between Robin's tragedy and Teresa's were strong enough.
'Two parents, one older brother, no younger siblings, and all of them killed by the same madman!'
As raven stands, pondering this last revelation, another voice suddenly echos through Robins mind, 'Raven!! What are doing?'
It was Robin, he'd suddenly realized she was in his head.
Pulling out from his mind, Raven returns to her normal state of mind only to find herself face to face with a slightly angered Robin.
Dropping her eyes, Raven says quietly,
"I was concerned for you. I wanted to make sure you were all right."
Robin's response betrays a tinge of hurt as well as anger.
"So that makes it all right to invade my mind without permission?"
Raven remains silent for a moment. She'd gone a little too far, and she knew it.
"I'm sorry."
She finally mutters.
Still a bit upset, but understanding why she did it, Robin says,
"From now on, unless it's an emergency, my mind is off limits."
With that said, Robin turns and walks stiffly back towards the office.
Watching Robins retreating form, images of what she had seen flash through Ravens mind.
If anything, she at least now had a much deeper understanding of their seemingly fearless leader.

Chapter: 23
Stopping just inside the door way, Robin takes a deep breath to calm his unsteady nerves.
The tide of memories and emotions that had flooded his mind only moments before still lay underneath, threatening to break free of the cage he'd forced them into.
Standing there, watching Jason's final moments with his sister, Robin's mind had been inundated with flash backs of his families deaths.
The smell of hay and popcorn, the heat from the lights and the crowds of poeple, his families voices, and then... the maniacal laughter of the madman Two-face.
The shots of rapid gun fire, the smell of sulfur, and the screams of his family, the looks of horror on their faces as they fell to their deaths.
Robin squeezed his eyes shut as he began to shake once again.
'I've got to stop thinking like this! I can't loose control! Not here, not now!'
He'd almost lost control when Teresa had begun weeping.
It was why he'd gone out on to the balcolny, to try and regain some composure.
Then Raven had shown up.
Robin shook his head, he didn't know what made her think she could help him by invading his mind, but what was done was done.
At least it had been Raven and not one of the guys.
Taking one last deep breath, Robin steps into the office, slowly making his way towards the circle of Titans.
All eyes turn towards him, all except Teresa, whose heart rending weeping had mellowed to quiet sobbing.
Even so, the sound of it still caused Robin's stomach to knott up and his chest to tighten.
'Get ahold of yourself Robin! You're the leader here. You have to be able to handle this. You can do this!'
Stepping up next to teresa, Robin gazes down at her.
Teresa's reddened, wet face is the picture of agony and emotional exhaustion.
A dark spot underneath her head marks where her tears stained his shirt.
In his minds eye, Robin sees a younger version of himself, lying in bed, his pillow soaked with his tears.
The agony he had felt that night was still as fresh now as it had been then, but he shoved it back down, refusing to give it vent.
He had to be strong for her.
Kneeling down beside Teresa, Robin gently places a hand on her shoulder and quietly whispers,
"Teresa, we have to go, come on."
Teresa shakes her head, a look of desperation marking her features.
"No!"
She manages to squeak out.
She didn't want to leave Jason!
Even though she knew he was dead, she just couldn't bring herself to believe it.
Shutting his eyes, Robin waits as another wave of agonized emotion washes over him.
Taking a deep breath he continues to whisper,
"Jason's gone, he's not coming back. You have to let him go!"
This time, Teresa didn't answer, but simply laid there sobbing.
At a lose as to what to do, Robin does the only thing he can think of.
Taking hold of her left arm, and wrapping his other arm around her waist, Robin gently lifts Teresa off of her brother's body and pulls her into his arms.
Exhausted and weak, Teresa lays against his chest, sobbing softly.
Overcome with compassion for her, Robin wraps his arms around her, one encircleing her head the other her shoulders.
So there they sat, Teresa crying her sould out, and Robin protectively craddeling her in his arms, as if by holding her he could protect her from the pain and the sorrow.
Jason's body lay still and silent beneath her.
Where once an active heart had beat, there was but silence.
Where once the rhythmic breathing had brought comfort, the stillness of his chest brought only distress.
He was gone!
Her dear brother was gone!
Never again would she hear his voice.
Never again would they spar.
Never again would they laugh togather.
Never again would she be able to listen to him and his amazing descriptions of things that made her feel as though she could almost see them!
Never!!
About this time Robin began saying something.
Teresa knew it was probably important, but his voice seemed so far away.
They probably needed to leave, but Teresa lacked both the strength and the will to move.
Then suddenly, a strong yet gentle hand gripped her upper arm, while another wrapped itself around her waist.
She ws being lifted away from her brother.
When she came to rest, it was on another chest, only this one was alive with sounds.
A strong heart beat thumped under her ear, and her head rose and fell with the person's breathing.
Then, as she lay there, two strong arms encircled her, enfolding her in strength and warmth.
As she lay there listening to the beating of the heart, a wave of calmness washed over her.
Soon the sweetness of sleep beckoned to her.
As Teresa yielded to the enticement of slumber, one other thing caught in her mind.
It was something she would remember for the rest of her life.
It was a delightful nutty aroma that brought with it a sense of security and safety.
It seemed to speak to her telling her everything would be all right.
With this last sensation, Teresa finally drifted off into an exhausted sleep.
As Teresa's sob's gave way to silence, Robin relaxes his hold on her ever so slightly.
Galncing down he is surprised to see her alseep.
'Good, she'll need the rest.'
Gathering her into his arms, Robin stands up and looks over at Alexander.
The man would pay for his crimes.
'The police chief will want the evidence we've gathered on him.'
"So, what happens now?"
It was Beast Boy who finally broke the silence.
"We will leave the evidence disk on the desk for the police chief. They should be here any minute. Cyborg, do you have the disk wiht you?"
"Yeah. I got it. I'll place it on the desk with an indicator light so they won't miss it."
"Thanks. Titans, lets go."
With that said, the Titans make their way out on to the balcolny.
Placing the disk and indicator light on the desk, Cyborg walks over to the balcolny door and pauses.
Turning to take one last look at the tragic scene, Cyborg shakes his head saddly.
'Will there never be an end to these kinds of tragedies?'
With that last thought, Cyborg turns and follows his friends.

Well, this is pretty impressive. A pair of heroes who you can genuinely care about, a villain who's so much of a bastard that he's hateable rather than cool - creating an uncool villain is harder than it looks, trust me - and, in Teresa, one refereshingly unique character. Your average superhero is neither blind nor as vulnerable as she is, which makes for a very nice change. Oh, and let's not forget the fact that this is one of only two WF stories that I know about where a new character dies, so what could have been a monumental cliche is in fact very haunting and emotional. A very impressive moment, and something that you should be proud of.
All in all, this story is a breath of fresh air, and it's good to see that your writing technique has improved considerably since the start. Not all writers are as willing to accept advice as you have been, myself included, and such a lack of ego is pleasing to see.
This is good work, and I expect to see more of the like forthwith.:anime: :anime: :anime: :anime: :anime:

Hey guys!! I've got the next chapter ready. I'm not completely happy with it, but I can't think of any other way to take it, so with out further adu, here's the next chapter.
Chapter 24:
Fastened to the wall by cyborg's net, Alexander, faining unconciousness, listens intently to the Titans departure.
For a moment he simply lies there against the wall, reflecting on what has just transpired.
An evil grin spreads across his face as the memory rolls through his mind, he had been most fortunate!
Having been knocked unconcious by Cyborg, Alexander regained conciousness to the sound of Teresa's torential weeping.
It had been music to his ears! Her anguished cries sweet nectar to his soul!
It was amazing what you could do with a person who had experienced such grief.
They were so easily controled, as well as being much more entertaining.
Not even that, however, had thrilled him as much as what he had seen shortly there after.
Risking a quick peak, in order to see what was happing, Alexander had spied Robin, The boy wonder, tenderly holding Teresa in his arms!
It wasn't nessacerily the fact that he held her, but it was more the way he held her, and the look on his face, that thrilled Alexander.
From the way he held her, it was obvious Robin cared for Teresa, if in no other way than simply as a sister.
If Alexander played his cards right, it would be Robin's, and Teresa's undoing.
The last straw, however, had been when the Titans had left their prescious evidence disk on his desk, thinking that he was still out cold.
It had taken everything he had to not cry out in almost giddy excitment.
Now he would be able to destory or alter the disk, so the police would never get the information they desired.
In that one instant they had lost their chance of locking him away!
Giving his wrist a quick twist, a dagger springs out from under his right sleeve, where it had been hidden.
With a few quick swipes Alexander is free from his prison.
A few moans echo across the office.
His lackies were finally waking up.
Walking casually over to his desk, Alexander reaches into his pocket and retrieves his handkerchief.
Unfolding it he gingerly picks up the disk and indicator light.
Holding it up to the light, Alexander examines the disk as though it were a rare gem.
Whispering quietly to himself, Alexander says,
"So, the Titans want to play hmmm? Very well then, Let's play!"
Turning back to his thugs, Alexander says quickly,
"Listen up! The police will be here any minute and they are going to be asking alot of questions. As far as you're concerned the Titans were never here. This guy here was the one who attacked you all. He beat you up and then attacked me. I defended myself by shooting him with this dart. Is that all clear?"
The thugs merely nodded their heads.
They knew all to well what would happen if they failed.
Glancing down at the body, however, one of the thugs named thomas asks,
"What if they get suspicious about the poison? Not every business man carries around a poisoned dart."
Alexander glares at Thomas.
Who did this ingrate think he was talking to, a novice?!
Thomas's face loses all color as Alexander stares at him.
The eery silence lasting for what seemes like an eternity.
Finally alexander speaks, his words measured and strained.
"The poison, as soon as it finishes it's job, takes on the form of a tranquilizer. As far as the police are concerned, I simply had too high of a dose in the dart. A simple mistake!"
Alexander takes a step closer to thomas as his eyes narrow, his voice taking on a chilling edge,
"And if you ever question me like that again, they'll find your body lying in some dumpster, having suffered from the same fate. Is that clear?"
Thomas simply nodds his head, too scared to say anything.
Much to thomas's relief, at that moment the blaring of sirens echos from below.
The police would be in the office any minute.
Turning to his other thugs Alexander says,
"Quickly, Brian take down the net from off the wall and stuff it into my bottom desk drawer, The rest of you back on the floor, act like your just recovering from a beating."
Moving swiftly, Alexander hurries to the fireplace.
Lifting up on a candelstick on top of the mantle, a stone dislodges revealing a compartment.
It was a bit cliche, he knew, but who was he to fly in the face of tradition.
Carefully placing the disk and light into the compartment, Alexander quickly replaces the candelstick and stone just as a pounding sounds on the large ebony doors.
Signaling Arthur, one of his thugs, to open the door, Alexander assumes a rather shaken expression.
By the time the police were finished here, Jason, not Alexander, would be the villian, and Teresa,...yes, Teresa would be his by the time his plans were complete.
'My plans will need some adjusting, but I will enjoy altering them in order to include the Titans, oh yes indeed!!'

Hey guys! listen, I'm in a bit of a delema! I have three different directions that I can take the story, but i don't know which way to go!:(
I need your help!! O.K. here are the options:
Option#1: I can go into detail about Teresa's first few days at Titans tower before continuing on with the rest of the events.
Option#2: I can do a look back on her first few days by way of a Titan diary entry or memory.
Option#3: I can skip right to Jason's funeral and only barely brush over her first few days at Titans Tower.
option#4: Open to suggestions!!
So I guess it's up to you guys now!! Please post a reply with your preference!
And thank you!!:)

Chapter 25:
Warmth, silence, softness, above and below her.
Weightless, floating between a dream and consciousness, and vaguely aware of both worlds.
In the one, a nightmare she did not want to relive, in the other, comfort and peace. She wanted to dive further into that peaceful world, but she was unsure as to which one was which.
Which world held the nightmare, and which the peace?
It was than something began tugging at her mind.
Something wasn't quiet right in the conscious world.
Something didn't feel right.
There was a different smell than what she was used to waking up too.
Allowing herself to be drawn further into consciousness, Teresa suddenly realized that she was not in her room. It was far too silent, and where were the many aromas that perfumed her room?
If she wasn't in her room, than where was she?
Like plunging into a vat of ice cold water, Teresa's memory came flooding back, jerking her fully conscious.
'Jason!'
She remembered, the night before she had held Jason as he died.
His last words flowed through her mind,
'You were always mine!'
He had called her his hero!
Her brother, her dearest brother, the last of her family, was gone forever!!
As the memory of what happened continued to coarse through her mind, the grief that had wracked her soul the night before also returned, this time with even greater force. Curling up into a ball on her bed, Teresa weeps uncontrollably, her emotional pain seeming almost physical, as though something were making hamburger meat out of her insides. Never had she known grief like this, not even when her parents had been killed. She felt as if she was dieing, and her only wish was that she would.
Though Teresa made barely any sound, her overwhelming grief shot through Raven like a blast from Cyborgs mega speakers! Nearly overwhelmed by what she was sensing, Raven tried desperately to block it out. Once mostly blocked, Raven examined the sense. Excruciating grief and pain.
'That has to be Teresa!'
Raven thought, her heart going out to the girl. Raven knew all too well the kind of pain Teresa was going through. She had felt it a couple of times herself. Laying her book down, Raven rose from her bed and made her way to Teresa's room. Raven didn't normally get involved in peoples emotional affairs, but this time she would make an exception.
In Teresa's room, all was dark, the curtains being shut.
Raven paused for a moment near the door to let her eyes adjust.
She had thought about getting one of the others to come with her, but no one else would be awake this early in the morning.
Well, Robin might be awake, but knowing what she did about him, raven thought it might be better to leave him out of this right now.
Glancing around, Raven can barely make out the curled up figure of Teresa lying on the bed. The slightly shaking form emanated a quiet sobbing which came in spurts. Floating over to the bed, Raven sat on the edge and listened.
She was unsure what she should do.
Raven didn't have much experience in comforting people, but she knew she had to do something.
Reaching out, raven laid a gentle hand on Teresa's shoulder. She was rewarded by a slight gasp, and a break in the sobbing. With a voice that trembled slightly, Teresa says,
"Raven?"
Raven smiled a little.
It fascinated her how someone who couldn't see was still able to identify her.
"Yes, it's me."
Raven answered, her voice calm and soft. Teresa rolled over and sat up a slight look of confusion on her face.
"What are you doing here?"
Raven considered her answer. She thought it best to introduce Teresa to her powers slowly, so she replied,
"I wanted to see if you were all right."
Raven watched as Teresa's mouth formed a thin line, and her brows creased.
Then with a slightly strained voice she answered,
"I'm fine!"
Teresa was not fine, and Raven knew it.
"No, your not."
Raven replied calmly.
"And how would you know?"
Teresa shot back, obviously irritated.
"I can sense your emotions. I know what your feeling."
Teresa's face turned back to one of grief as she shakily asked the next question.
"Do you really?"
Raven sat there for a moment. She knew exactly what Teresa was asking her.
She was asking if she had ever felt this way herself.
A slight wave of regret and grief pass over Raven as she remembered the different times she herself had experienced what Teresa was going through.
Squelching the emotions quickly, Raven replied,
"Yes, I do! And I also know that you can survive it. You can make it through this. It isn't easy, and it takes time, but you can overcome this."
Raven's words act like a break in the storm, shining light on her seemingly hopeless situation.
Was it possible that life could still go on?
Did she still have a future?
Teresa shook her head slightly. It was still too early for her too feel that there was hope.
'But maybe...if Raven could survive this kind of grief. If life still went on for her, then why not for me?'
As this last thought coursed through her mind, Teresa felt a little of the pain leave. But even then, it still hurt, and she still missed her brother greatly.
As Raven got up to leave, Teresa still wondered if life would ever be good again.

I daresay that was pretty damn good. Teresa is becoming a more fascinating character by the chapter, displaying the kind of continuous strength-vulnerability swing that never fails to grab me in ways I can't quite explain. It'll be very interesting to see where she goes from here!;):anime::anime:
However, I feel a pressing need to pop the balloon I just so carefully inflated. There were two major "styling" problems in that chapter that I ought to point out:
1. The tensing went back-and-forth faster than a psychotic yo-yo. Make sure that you know exactly when you're using past or future, and you've used them at the points that you want to: in that chapter, it just looked like you weren't paying attention to such an important detail.
2. The constant one-line paragraphs are starting to get irritating. I can be a very dramatic device, but only when used rarely. Something so interesting soon loses its appeal when used so often. In other words, try to make your paragraphs longer, only keeping them trimmed down when absolutely necessary.
Sorry for sounding like an arse, but I just thought that I could help. I hope I have.

It was good, but there are a few places where your spelling isn't quite right. Don't feel too bad. Spelling is one of those things I can do a lot of, but I still make mistakes. You do shift tenses, but I get it.
Keep writing.

Hey guys! Thanks for the feed back!! Sorry about the spelling errors and problems with the tenses. I noticed these too, but only after I had posted it. I don't have a computer of my own so I'm stuck using the library computer which only allows you a maximum of one hour! So what ever I type has to be typed and edited in only one hour! That's pretty hard for someone who types as slow as I do. I will try and pay closer attention though to the tenses.
Oh! And about the paragrphs, when i first started posting I was told that my paragraphs wee too long, so I guess I over compensated!! I'll try and fix it.
I'm glad you guys are still liking it. I should have the next chapter up probably sometime next week. So stay tuned!!:)
p.s. I edited the last chapter, so read it again and let me know what you think!

Sorry it took so long!!! I've been rather busy the last moth or so!
Hopefully it won't take so long for the next chapter.
Well, with out further adeui, the next chapter!
Chapter 26:
Cool darkness, empty of all sensation and feeling, yet possessing a tangibleness that surrounds him, envelpoes him, filling his entire being with a cool, calm sense of control.
A sensation he relishes!
Control, mastery, over every movement, every reaction, everyemotion, enabling him to achieve a level of focus which enhances his senses when he fights, making him nearly invincible.
His control, however, is never constant. His life marked by periods of control, broken up by moments when his control is nearly lost, overtaken by some rebellious emotion which forces it's way into is conciousness.
A shudder runs thorugh his body as he recalls these moments. It's these moments of helplessness, of loss of control which strikes true fear into his heart. These emotions which dull his senses, numb his mind, and cause such agony to exceed any physical pain he has yet to experience.
It's these emotions he tries so desparately to fight against, to try and lock away.
'And they are locked away, and buried deep, never to be released again, or so I hope!'
Brushing these thoughts aside, Robin returns, once again to relishing in the cool darkness, when suddenly a light appears, it's radiance piercing the darkness.
Shielding his eyes, Robin takes a step towards the light, trying to find it's origin. Taking another step closer he notes how the light begins to dim, softening to a glow.
Bringing his hand back down to his side, Robin examines the strange glowing object before him. A silver colored cylinder, standing 50feet tall, and about 2 1/2 inches thick, rests two feet in front of him, glowing with a soft white light. Tapping the pole with his knuckels, Robin is rewarded with a dull "Thonk".
'must be solid steel.' Robin thinks,
'I wonder where it came form?'
As if on cue, another of the strange cylinders appears, this one only a foot away from the first. Then another appears, and another, and another. Backing up in order to view the entire structure, Robin's mind is assaulted by cunfusion and awe, for there, standing before him, is a massive cage! Standing 50 feet tall, 40 feet wide, a 30 foot door to the right which is locked with a padlock the size of Robin's head, the structure makes an imposing site.
Robin stands satring at the structure in sheer amazement at it's size, when a movement from near the top of the cage catches his attention.
Floating about 35 feet in the air inside the cage, are a pair of red eyes. Unable to see the owner of the eyes because of the darkness of the interior of the cage, Robin stares intently at the eyes, trying to read them. Undetured by this scrutiny, the creature stares back, almost daring Robin to discover his secret.
It is at this very moment when a sudden knowing sensation begins to well up inside of Robin, turning him cold.
It was almost as if he could read the creatures mind, and it wasn't friendly. In fact, it wanted Robin dead! Breaking his gaze with the creature, Robin is distracted by the now illuminated interior of the cage.
Taking an involuntary step backwards, A shiver runs down Robins spin, as his eyes discovery what the cage contains. Standing at varying hieghts, each one a different color, they stare at Robin, their red glowing eyes speaking of the same evil intent. They wanted to destroy Robin!
Transfixed to his spot, another movement, this time to his right, catches his attention. Shifting his gaze, robin's fear is quickly replaced by pure hate,
"Slade!".
Stopping with in six feet of Robin, Slade replies coolly and calmly,
"Nice to see you as well, Robin."
Rage boiling with in him, Robin demands,
"What do you want Slade? What are you up to?"
Narrowing his gaze, Slade, ignoring Robin's questions, glances over at the cage and continue,
"I see you've met the beasts. Hideous aren't they? Each one is unique, and yet they all share the come exact soul consuming desire to destroy you. Pleasant to think of isn't? AS to your question, I'm not up to anything this time, I'm just here to watch the show. It will be entertaining to watch the beasts as they tear you limb from limb."
A jolt of panic shoots through Robin. Slade was going to unleash the creatures.
"I won't even let you get near the cage Slade. So I'm afraid there's not going to be a show!"
Robin could almost feel Slade smile as he replied,
"Who said I was the one with the key?"
An alrm sounds in Robin's mind when suddenly an ominous click echos through the room. Snapping his head in the direction of the sound, a fresh wave of panic washes over him. Standing, with padlock in hand, is a man with a key! Having just given the key it's first turn, the man turns to face Robin. Mild shock races through Robin as he realizes who it is,
"Alexander!".
Alexander grins evilly and gives the key another turn. Mind racing, Robin tries desparately to think of some way to stop him, but the sound keeps tugging at his mind, distracting him.
"What is that sound?!"
Robin hollers in frustration.
"It's the key!"
Alexander replies.
Robins confusion is suddenly replaced by shock as realization floods his mind.
'The sound! It's Teresa's cries as she wept over Jason!'
Stunned by the flood of emotions brought on by Teresa's anguished cries, Robin doesn't notice as Alexander gives the key one fianl turn, unlocking the cage.
One by one the beasts emerge from their prison and stand in front of it, staring down at Robin. At last, they were free to fulfill their desire, and destroy their captor, Robin!
Sorry if this chapter is a bit confusing. I didn't have time to type up the whole chapter. My next post will conclude the chapter for you, so hopefully it will all be less confusing! :)

After a considerable absence, Mystery Fan returns with a chapter of such utterly fascinating weirdness...well, I just can't describe how confused I really am right now. Enthralled and entertained, but undeniably confused: I suggest remedy the situation quickly.;)
Though I've now got precisely zero idea what's going on, that was a quality return. Congratulations!:anime: :anime: :anime:

Hey guys! For those of you poor confused folks, here is the conclusion of chapter 26. Hope this clears up a few things for you!
Chapter 26(continued):
Alone in the darkness, Robin stands rigid and unmoving, his face pale and white. Yet he barely notices the five hideous monsters standing free of their prison. All his attention is on the constant wailing which eminantes from from all around.
It's Teresa, weeping uncontrolably, pain and anguish echoing in her cries, and he is to blame! It's his falut Jason died. He had the chance to save him, and he let Jason die!
He, the hero, was the reason for her pain. The same fate which befell his own family he allowed to fall upon another.
A wave of nausea washes over Robin. How could he have let this happen?
Glancing up, Robin's eyes widen, as though seeing the newly freed beasts for the first time. Extending his bo-staff, Robin strikes a battle ready pose, preparing for the iminent attack, but for the first time his heart is simply not in it.
As the first beast charges, Robin rushes out to meet it, sliding in between it's legs and then rolling over quickly to avoid being smashed by the second beast. Using his bo-staff as a valut Robin leaps onto the first beasts head then flips onto the second beasts head, norrowly missing a blow from the third beast. Though the blow misses Robin, it does, however, strike the first beast on the head. Using this tactic, Robin continues to flip and dogde the many blows from the monsters, trying desparately to stay ahead of them, when suddenly a blue furry hand seems to come out of nowhere, sending Robin flying across the room and slamming into the wall.
A shock wave of pain courses through his body as he impacts the wall, stunning him. Before he can fall to the ground, however, he is plucked from the air by the green beast who hurtles him across the room to slam into the opposite wall.
The beasts toss Robin's now limp body around like a rag doll, each impact registering less and less as Robin nears unconciousness.
Finally coming to rest on the floor, Robin lies on his back, staring up into the darkness, aware only of Teresa's cries.
"Teresa!" Robin whisphers,
"I'm sorry! i wish I could bring him back, that I could make the pain stop, but I can't! I'm sorry I didn't save him!"
As Robin speaks these final words, the red beast steps up, raises his hand above his head, and with a strange chilling cry swings it down for the killing blow when.....
"Nooooooooo!"
Robin yells, bolting upright in bed, his heart racing as he gasps for air. Glancing around quickly, a wave of relief washes over him.
'It was only a dream!' Robin thinks.
Running a still trembeling hand through his hair he pulls it a away wet. He had soaked his sheets and pillow with sweat! Glancing at his clock it reads 5:45.
'I've only been asleep for 4 hours!'
Heaving a sigh, Robin shakes his head. Chances were he wouldn't be getting much sleep for a while. Suddenly a light knock sounds on his door. Swinging his legs over the side of his bed Robin throws on a pair of sweats and heads for the door. The only other person he knew of that got up this early was Raven.
Pressing the open button, the door slides open revealing a somewhat concerned Raven.
"Raven. What's wrong?"
Robin says, trying to sound like a concerned leader. Glancing at his sweat soaked hair and his still quikened breathing, Raven asks hesitantly,
"Is everything o.k.? I heard you yell."
Averting his gaze Robin replies casually,
"It was nothing, just a dream, I'm fine."
Still sensing the same feeling of distress she had earlier, Raven presses,
"Are you sure?"
Eyes narrowing slightly, Robin fixes Raven with a stern gaze and says with a slightly strained voice,
"I'm fine! Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going back to bed. Good night."
With that said Robin turns to leave.
Watching him turn to leave, an idea of what his dream might have been about flashes through Raven's mind. Staring intently at Robin's retreating form Raven says quietly,
"It wasn't your fault.".
Robin stops dead in his tracks. His whole frame stiffening, his hands clenching into fist. She had struck a nerve. Raven heaves a sigh. He always took too much on to himself. He felt responsible for Jason's death, but it wasn't his fault. Taking a deep breath Raven adds one last comment.
"You're a terrific leader Robin, but you don't have to take responsibility for everything!"
With this said, Raven turns and continues on her way to the living room, leaving a slightly frustrated and upset Robin behind.

That helped a little but its still confusing. I actualy forgot about this story until you posted this chapter and the only thing that reminded me was the fact that it said I had a post on here. But i'm starting to remember this story, and if you post a new chapter soon I might just remember faster. :p
