:D
Only two more days till my Animation Festival! I have been hyping it up over the past two weeks. Telling everyone I know, and putting up colorful posters for everyone to see. I put up an ad at my job so that more people can show up! I might call a local radio station to advertise on the air!
The 20 cartoons that I picked will be arriving at my college's Film Series Office tomorrow. I'll continue to spread the word, as well as prepare my speech.

When time permits, please post your speech and the cartoons you're showing. I'm sure I'm not the only one here who would be interested.

:)
-I won't post my speech and list of cartoons until after the event occurs. I will be keeping a clipboard handy to write down notes during the various cartoons-listening to audinence response, basically.
-Here's the memo I wrote (in about 10 minutes) and had xeroxed to be sent out to the faculty and students in the Media department at school (I'm a Media major):
To: All Media professors and faculty
From: Jefferson Blackburn
Subject: ANIMATION FESTIVAL
I would like to invite each and every one of you to an event I am coordinating. It is an ANIMATION FESTIVAL, where 20 classic cartoons (that I personally picked) will be shown on a big movie screen. Popular characters such as Woody Woodpecker, Popeye, Bugs Bunny, and Donald Duck will be part of the program.
Some of the cartoons in this program will contain ethnic humor and scenes that caused them to be pulled from television. Before the show, I will explain these scenes and encourage the audience to view them in the proper context. If these scenes disturb anyone, they can leave the auditorium for the time being.
The festival will take place on Friday, May 4th at the Winifred-Moore Auditorium at 10:00 p.m. I hope you will encourage your students to attend. Not only this will be an enjoyable event (and a great stress-reliever), it will provide the opportunity for people to see these cartoons in a way that they were originally meant to be seen…on the silver screen.
Hope to see you there!
Sincerely,
Jefferson I. Blackburn III
-Hopefully, this memo was effective in getting the word out!
