Totally Spies season 2: those....voices......

So here we are walking into a new season of Totally Spies. New intro, new stories...

...and new voices. At least I think so. When I was watching the second season, I noticed that Alex's voice sounded off, as well as Jerry's. They didn't sound like themselves, but rather people trying to do their voices. I want to know if anyone noticed this too, and if people around here know about the voice actors of this show.

Hehe, I don't like it too much either... infact I thought the voice change would be slightly better because Katie Leigh as the Old Alex had a baby-ish-voice for Alex as well... but Katie Leigh made her go down a notch. :p

I got used to it, but now it REALLY bugs me for some reason. But, Jerry's is alright, and Alex's sucks.

The one thing that might put of someone is the fact that Alex is vocied by Rei's voice actor in the S and SS sereis of Sailor Moon.

Anyway, I don't like the new voices either. At times Alex sounds all right, but other times she sounds too young or lispy. And Jerry sounds way off. He has a much lower voice than Jess Harnell's version and there's no "charm" to the new voice. He sounds bored or something.

And for some reason, Sam's voice has been weird lately, even though it's still the same VA. She's been too high-pitched and, once again, a bit lispy. Clover's really the only one who's been fairly consistent in the new season.

Andrea Taylor (Voice of Clover) actually mentioned she got no practice before voicing season 3... (over her summer) in a TSPA interview... so maybe its that natural non-practicing routine she did that made everything perfect. I like how Jennifer Hale (voice of Sam) can scream in a high pitch, it's lovely.) :p

I really hate Alex's new va, so much so that I might now be able to watch the new episodes,Alex was probobly my favorite girl. Anyone know what happened to her old va?

I agree with Cliff. Alex was the best character in the show, and her new voice is almost unbearably irritating. I'm hoping I'll warm up to it, but I fear I won't. :crying:

Jerry's voice is close enough to the original, plus he's more of a minor character than Alex, so his voice change doesn't bother me much.

I don't watch TP much, but when I first heard the new voices I changed the channel. It sickened me.
Everytime VA's change, I feel like killing myself. It ruins the character and the new voice seems to always suck. Like Chester (FOP) and Robot Jones.

Chester`s new voice annoyed me to no end, bt RJ`s was a godsend.

I could barely watch an ep of that show because his voice practically gave me a headache.

Seriously, when they re-introduce a series just to change the voice of one charachter AND redo the old eps with the new voice, you know it had to be bad.

Well, I don't watch the show much but when I did and it was new i was like "WTF?". Alex sounded.. whiney... and Jerry sounded like he was trying to be too British. So.. yeah. Just felt like putting my $200 in. (don't ask)

I seem to keep forgetting Jerry has a new voice... it's soo alike and although Jess Harnell (old jerry) will be missed..) our new jerry is here for the next two seasons.. :)

Yes, Jerry's VA sounds like he's trying to be British (I don't know why Jess left).

Alex's voice can be strained at (most) times.

But the show still is great.
