According to www.zap2it.com (http://www.zap2it.com/), ABC's break-out hit, "Desperate Housewives", had it's best rating to date with a 15.2/22, edging out the "Dallas: Return to Southfork" on CBS. Also, ABC's two hour special "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" scored an 11.9/18 in it's second hour.

I'm so happy for ABC. After years of being bruised and battered by CBS and NBC, they've finally landed some hit shows and have been able to compete with the other networks. Good for them. And it helps that these are quality shows, not franchise's that are basically factory produced (*cough*CSI*cough*).

I didn't even know that Dallas reunion was already filmed, let alone ready to air. Eh, it was a little before my time anyway.I haven't even been able to get past one full episode of Housewives, so I don't know if all the hype is justified.

It's a primetime serial, which I guess is an acquired taste. But if you like amazing writing, acting, and storylines, this is your best bet. It's about time quality was showcased on television. For too long now, it's all been craptacular at best.
