This is a new rumor about The Punisher 2 that has popped up at AICN:

* THE PUNISHER 2 looks like it, too, will be filming in Australia. Who's the bad guy? Rumours point to Michael Keaton as Jigsaw.

It's not new. Tom Jane said all those things in an interview over the summer. But yeah I'd like to see Michael Keaton as Jigsaw.

Might be interesting the first one was garbage though to me. Is it going to have the same director?

Making a sequel to The Punisher is like sticking your foot in a bear trap, hurting the foot, and then the next time you see a bear trap, sticking your other foot in it to see if maybe things don't go so bad this time.

I don't even think Jane said Keaton might play Jigsaw, but that he thought Keaton would make a great Jigsaw.

Alot of people consider the second of a series to be better than the first (not me, though...i.e. T2 or Spider-Man 2). I'm sure that the filmmakers have learned from their mistakes with the first one and will do what they can to rectify any grievances you may have.
Personally, yeah, Keaton would be cool. I'd have to read alot more of the character before making a real good casting call, though.

I liked the first punisher, I definitely didn't understand why many didn't. It made me feel the same as Daredevil, where many didn't like it and I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. I'm glad to see Punisher 2 in the works.. I haven't really read Punisher comics for awhile, so I'm not familiar with jigsaw, but both Keaton and Walken are good actors, so I doubt they could go wrong with it.

I totally agree. I LOVED Daredevil and Punisher.
Walken would be awesome for Jigsaw, and I'd love to see Keaton back in a "Superhero" movie. He was easily the best Batman.

ARE YOU ON DRUGS!!?? T2 and Spider-Man 2 were BOTH better than the first in the series. Unless i.e. means exception.

I'm in the minority, but I enjoyed part 1.

I'm excited about the news of a possible sequel, Jigsaw would make a good villain imo.

Actually, T2 was almost as good as the other two. It just happens to be my least favorite of the three. I love them all.
Spider-Man 2, while good, cannot dazzle me with special effects in order to distract me from both over-substance in some parts and the lack thereof in others. Not to say I didn't like it. It just wasn't the first one.

I thought everything beforehand has just been wishful thinking on his part. I didn't mind the first movie, with due to some of the problems it had, and I wouldn't mind sitting through a second one.
