An article on the recent cinematic skid for leading man Ben Affleck speculates that if Daredevil 2 gets made, Affleck with not return to the horns. The part about Daredevil 2 is here:

And “Daredevil 2”? You can almost rest assure that it will happen, says the insider, but “…again. Without Affleck”. Superhero Hype (http://www.superherohype.com/) recently heard from the film’s original director, Mark Steven Johnson, who cemented the proclamation that a second one may happen, saying he’s keen to do a sequel – but excising the words ‘Ben’ and ‘Affleck’ from his answer. A new Matt Murdock? I suppose it worked – kinda – for “Batman”.
This fits in with Affleck’s responses to the media when being asked about a sequel. A month or so back he sounded quite keen, saying he would, but hopes the studio would let them make it a little darker in tone than the first movie. Then, in an interview with Moviehole last month, said he’s not interested. Ah, who can say ‘pushed’, not ‘jumped’?

This is one of the reasons why I didn't like the Batman movies as much after Batman Returns, for the simple reason that they kept getting different actors for the role of Batman, each one no better than the one before. Now it about to happen with DD.
I didn't really like the first one. It was entertaining, but lacked too many things if you ask me. For one, where was Stick? And why did they make Kingpin Black?
Ben is a good actor, but I don't think he portrayed DD in the way he should've been, that's why it would've been better for them to get an unkown actor for the part like they are doing with the new Superman and Batman (at least I think he's unknown). Spider-Man used an unknown (or not VERY well known) character for the role of Peter, and it did way better than it would've been with someone like Luke Wilson playing it (just an example).
When a well known actor is used for a role that totally places him/her out of there normal boundaries, everyone is already expecting certain things from the actor, but with someone new, they keep them guessing and wondering.
Oh well.

Affleck should do it to see if it can get him out of his slump. The people who would be most excited about the movie are not going to see Ben Affleck, they are going to see Daredevil and Ben is not going to stop them from doing that. This is his shot at semi-redemption and he dang well better take it.
From the sounds of things, he wants a better Daredevil movie. Given how butuchered the last one was in terms of editing, he may very well be right. It didn't help that the majority of the critics were harsh, and Affleck shouldered most of the blame.
As far as I remember, MCD is back for the sequel. Hopefully, we'll get a Born Again movie, or the long rumoured Guardian Devil movie, perhaps written by Smith himself.
I hope it does happen. Far as I'm concerned, Affleck absoloutly nailed Murdock/Daredevil. It'll be difficult to see anyone else in the role.

Well, let's think of it this way. Some people don't like Ben Affleck (I don't mind him as Daredevil, he's a pretty good actor). So this is there chance to get someone better.

Huh... I'm conflicted.
I've got no fondness for Ben Affleck, and I will admit that he's not exactly my ideal Matt Murdock. Far from it. But on the other hand, I do value consistency in franchises, and Ben's Daredevil is not so awful that I'd want him replaced. I think the films would flow a lot better from one into the other if you had the same lead actor in both. Truth be told, the only change I really want in Daredevil 2 is a new costume. The first one was... awful. Truly, truly terrible. I'd much rather see a suit more faithful to the comics one, made out of the Spider-Man material and with a deep crimson hue.
Of course, there's a whole other problem, which is that Ben not wanting to do Daredevil 2 speaks poorly of the project. Presumably, he has insight into the story that we don't, and if he's not interested, that might mean the quality of the sequel is a little dubious at this point. I'd kill for Kevin Smith to get involved with this project, but I suppose that doesn't look likely right now.
And, purely from a career standpoing, I think Daredevil 2 would help Ben. He hasn't exactly had a string of successes lately.

That'd be a shame. While I'm not immensely fond of the first film, I saw Affleck as one of it's high points. To lose him would be a shame.
He did a good job, but if he thinks he's too big to reprise the role then forget him. He aint that important, and he's probably holding the franchise back anyway.

I liked Affleck in the first Daredevil even though I figured that Matt Damon would of been a better choice to play Matt Murdock but Ben should do it, for no other reason then because the guy desperately needs a hit movie.

I would like to see Ben play Daredevil again. I felt he did a good job with the role previously. Initially I wasn't a fan of the movie but after several viewing I started to appreciate it more. I think the franchise can only get better. Plus the last several movies Ben has done haven't preformed that well. This would be a chance to possibly make up for that.
